AITA for telling my husband's kids he was broke after they called me a golddigger?

A redditor has been married to he husband, Rob, for four years. Rob has two children, Madison (28) and Brett (26), who have always been cold towards her. Madison recently got engaged and was disappointed when Rob could only contribute $10k to her wedding, not understanding his financial struggles following his late wife's illness.

I’m missing the part where they call her a gold digger or even blame her. OP just goes straight to defending herself and the daughter takes that as OP blaming their mother for their father’s financial problems. So I guess ESH because there’s no actual healthy communication even though they’re grown adults 🤦‍♀️
