I'm a 80's/90's kid and remember a haunted ride very similar to this at our local fair here in Washington State. It would scare the crap out of me, but for some reason I'd always go through it.
im 12. ive been riding this ride since i was little . i never get tired of it. Some of the new stuff gets me sometimes 😂
Uh you are still little 🤨
Took my son on this ride when he was 7. He's 22 now he loved it to. Glad you still like it buddy.
They added a real person to scare u now
I can't believe that ride is still going strong. The loudness was the only thing that scared me to death
This was HANDS DOWN my personal favorite ride on Ocean City boardwalk. Though the roller coaster wasn't bad either
Same unfortunately I'm not able to go on the ride now. The flashing lights, neon colors and loud noises hurt my eyes/ears when I'm there.
I'm almost 15 and spent my whole life living in MD and this is my favorite thing to ride every summer other than the rollercoaster lol
Omg I love this! Reminds me of the fair rides when I was little in the 80s...i loved them but I'd be scared af
Was always so much fun when younger huh?
Missed Jigsaw & nun. But everything else was the same since I was a youngin. Had me smiling the whole time...🍻
Love this ride and I finally got my mom on it when we went there last week. The train and the hanging man saying help over and over scare the hell out of me though.
😁
I live in oc and when ever we go to the boardwalk my sister makes us go on this ride!!! In 2021 they added real people in the ride!!!
Love watching this dark ride over and over. Makes me want to take a vacation and go ride all these great dark rides. Great job. Great quality.
Ty
Check out my dark rides playlist for more.
This ride has been my favorite since I was 10. (2008) its a true OC classic that should never get torn down, ever. Though I think over the years they've taken away things they shouldnt of. Like the timbers room where the wood board breaks. The whole room had green wood timbers surrounding which complimented the door ahead. Also, they added things in the spinning barrel room that shouldnt be there because it takes away the feeling of spinning. But Overall I still love the ride. But they are doing too much work to it which takes away the experience I had when I was 10. But at least the ride is still there. And I'm glad the headless man outside is still welcoming people into his home, which I feel wouldnt be complete without him.
Like the old saying goes. If it aint broke, dont fix it.
I haven't been on this in many years since I was a kid..glad to see it's still there❤
I went there yesterday, they have actual actors inside now! They got me at the end...
I’ve ridden this ride every day of the week I stay in oc every year for 30 years.
Iconic
Nice. It's a classic
@@JPVideos81 oh absolutely. Can’t beat it!
Always love riding the Haunted House when in Ocean City!
Ayeeee MD in the house !!
Love the haunted ride. Thank you sir for another great episode!
Another great video the haunted ride is cool! Thank you for taking me along on the ride 😁
This is pretty cool. The surprisingly awesome thing is the railroad crossing scene with the oncoming train. Like in Mr Toad's Wild Ride at Disneyland. By the way, it looks like the Santa Fe.
I was so happy when i found out they restored and fixed it when it burned down some time ago
Looks like Bill Traceys old work. A lot of the original gags are still alive. I really enjoyed your video thanks for the ride in and for free too. I remember it being called wacky shack.
This is my favorite dark ride. And Michael Jackson's Thriller bit in the lobby came from me. I was on the the trimpers Haunted house website and under the forums they asked about your ride experience. I replied that my first time through back in 2009 I listened to Thriller and that's where the thriller bit came about. This is truly a Bill Tracy masterpiece.
One of the better ones I've seen on boardwalks.
Brings back a lot of memories of this ride when I was a kid.
and this is still better than 90% of the fair dark rides out there...
i prefer these rather than the walkthhroughs, these oldschool boring but slightly scary jumpscare rides in the little carts are so fun
When I go to OC I always ride that but this year I didnt get a chance to ride it. Thanks for the video, made me feel like I was there THANKS!!!
I went on this ride a couple years ago. I’ll remember it from when I was a little kid and honestly it was not as much fun as I remembered but that could just be the fact that I’m a grown-up now and things that were scary and fun as a kid just aren’t quite as scary and fun anymore.
I always go to ocean city and the first ride i go on is the haunted house.Just gonna warn people who go on it,they actually now have 2 real people dressed as werewolfs that try to scare you by doing a jump scare
I just close my eyes listening to the screams lol
Oml same, I have a huge fear of animatronics, so I just close my eyes and act like I was so spooked with all of my friends
Yes that's why I see people leave from it more calmly then me and that's cheating😒
This was the first haunted house and dark ride I ever went on and I’ve loved it ever since and that was 1989. It’s an absolute classic ride! Thank you for the video. I don’t get back East to go on this ride often enough.
You said it. Definitely an absolute classic!
Wow, this is definitely one of the best dark rides I've ever seen!
It's a fun classic
Love that place. Love that it has stuck around this long! True classic
True definition of classic
i miss riding this. thanks so much for uploading this. so joyful.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
This ride was built in 1964, Although it has changed a lot through out the years, It still brings back great memories for me, OC Maryland is a great place to have gone to from 1962 thru 1988, I need to go back soon as it has been a long time now. Very Sad.
Classic dark ride at its truest definition.
I remember when there wasnt an upstairs to the ride. LOL!
Crystal Beach amusement park had a very early version of this ride believe it was built right around 1910 called The Giant and was one of the only rides that lasted the entire life of the park as an amusement park right up until 1989. Also one of the largest and oldest operating rollercoasters originally known as the Crystal Beach Cyclone and rebuilt into Crystal Beach Comet, The Comet was resurrected and reopened by the Great Escape in 1994. Often rated one of the top roller coasters in the world in the 90s, The Comet features a 2-minute ride over several hills. The first and largest hill contains a drop of 87 feet (27 m) and brings riders to a maximum speed of 55 mph (89 km/h). For the 2007 season, The Comet celebrated its 80th Anniversary.
This is one of the best carnival haunt rides I’ve seen. A lot of them barely work.
i've been riding this ride since i was 11. i'm 24 now. it's pretty campy, but i still go in every year or so to see if anything's changed.
Thought it was a whole lot better than I thought it was going to be after seeing the cars. Long ride for a dark ride.
Camera doesnt do it justice. Its a great dark ride
I’ve always loved this ride
I never tire of this ride. Love it.
2:20 I said I know you lyin 😂😭Me and my bestie road a ride like this last year, I didn’t even look up I was to scared but she did
😁💙
halloween my favorite time of year
You know a regular and an infrared side by side POV would be cool on the dark rides 😁 just a thought
I'm always just standing outside by the fence on these type of rides while the rest of my family goes.
I am 50yo and I was young when I first rode it.I lived in Ocean City the summers I was 16 and 17 with a couple other guys and me and another worked their the summer when I was 17.A good amount of stuff is still there from that time.
I remember when it first open in 2008 or 2010 it was awesome to know there was a new ride and the first time I did it was scary for the few times and after that I just got over it and enjoy the ride. Still gotta admit it is much scary to experience it in person.
Love it! Too bad I'm so far away, in Minnesota. Every year at the Minnesota State Fair, they have a ride which goes on water inside a dark tunnel called the "Ye Old Mill." It's not exactly a haunted house, but it has some scary aspects to it. It' been there ever since I can remember. Thanks so much, Jay!
The ye old mill ride is at Kenny wood amusement park and at the Kansas and Iowa state fairs I have ridden them all including Minnesota state fair
@@jeraldharden5098 im glad they went back to the ye old mill instead of the garfield theme at Kennywood
When I was little and even today I still think it’s cool to go outside on the top floor for a few seconds in the middle of the ride. Idk why, I just always have, it think it’s because it’s pretty unique compared to other haunted houses
Except when its raining
JPVideos if it’s not raining hard it’s still pretty cool
I like the coffin that you can ride on, almost look like bed knobs on the ends of each coffin.
Love the cars. they're like antique furniture.
Very unique
I really enjoyed this video!!! Great job Jay!!! Thank you for sharing!!!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN, EVERYONE ! 🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
We walked by this attraction, but did not go in. It was our first time walking the boardwalk and doing a little recon. The wind and rain and time were not on our side. We will go on next time. Awesome video.
The boardwalk is one of my favorite places down there. We went for two weeks, first week the weather wasn't the greatest, but the second week was hot and sunny.
It was our first time down there we got caught in heavy winds and downpours, but the restaurants are great down there. Brass balls, big peckers, Phillips. Fun times stayed at an apartment right off 6th street. Boardwalk and ocean were about 200 feet away.
Very good ride
I went on it yesterday it was frightening
😲
Wonderful thank you it was amazing i love haunted houses and rides like this one.
I am loving the colors on the outside! Reminds me so much of Knoebles on the inside.
Very close to it. Check out the one i posted today.
I went to that ride many times when I went on that ride I Closed my eyes through the whole ride
So cool JP luv these videos brother big like from me 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Excellent
Another fun coffee break with J.P. Videos : ) .....
I love all kinds of rides
Awesome
Are the cars really old, or just made to look that way? Looks like a fun ride. Gave thumbs up as always!
Not really sure, my hunch is they are old and original.
That was fun and a nice long ride!
I was with my family in OCMD this past weekend and tried to bring my girlfriend's little boy onto this but it did not open until 3pm!! Oh well. Next time.
A true classic
Very cool place. I always wanted to go through those with a good flashlight, or get out of the car and look around.
I loved this ride as a kid. As soon as I saw your thumbnail I knew it was OC.
Its a classic
Dark rides are still a lot of fun.
I noticed they fixed a few things such as the shaking and chained zombie at the beginning of the top level, but it seems that once they fix something, something else breaks. The lunging monster with the red light on him didn't do his thing.
I do like that scary nun though. It was a good time to put her in since the movie literally JUST came out.
Nice ghost train 👍
This was uploaded on my birthday lol
This park is by far the worst I've ever been to, not only is it way over priced and extremely poorly run, but to see the neglect of some of the rides will just make you sad. Highly recommend heading a little ways north though to Rehoboth Beach. If you like this kinda thing, they have one of the coolest haunted house dark rides in the country there. After doing that one, I was like, why did I waste my time going to Trimpers?
The dark ride at funland is fantastic. I have a video of it under my dark rides playlist.
Another awesome ride. The cars were even cool!!!
Yeah, neat little coffin cars
Very nice I went on one at pennut festival it was truly amazing not too scary be good for kids
Awesome
Just went on this today!
This one seemed better and much longer then the morbid manor ride.
Its significantly better
Seems scary 😨
I’m going to OC for my friends birthday in October and we are supposed to be going to haunted houses. So I am going to convince them to go to this just so I can laugh. 😂
I know there is a walk thru haunted house near trimpers. Its like 25 bucks but they dont allow filming.
They got rid of 40 years of bubble gum stuck to the doors. 😂
Fun ride, it's long, with a goodish soundtrack and lots to see (although the 1st part was dark) Loved the cars they looked old... on the back of the one in front there was a sign saying 'RIP'. lol
They need to brighten up the first section.
Your right. Thanks for sharing. :0)
Year without corona virus,, how beautifull world that time
Truly made me smile - thanks for sharing this!
Glad you enjoyed it
I like it the video you should make a video on a hundred house spook arama in Coney Island ny
This is one of the better ones the two I went on were short and cheap. On top of not even lasting five minutes the props were just mannequins with Halloween masks.
Haha
Almost 6 minutes! 👏🏼
OMG I WENT ON THAT RIDE WITH MY LITTLE SIS AND SHE WAS CRYING
Great video, that was a long ride
I’m very confused why was there a waterfall? Do you get wet on this ride? Like there was a waterfall at the end that it looks like you go through… very confused?
Water curtain to make you think you'll get wet.
@@JPVideos81 ohhh thanks I can be dumb some times
Fun ride
Great video ❤️
Really cool, I liked it
That was a fun one. They got rid of the haunted house ride at our local amusement park :(
Haunted house dark rides are some of my favorite.
Does anyone know what that sound effect is at 4:50 ? It's in a bunch of different haunted attractions and I'd like to try and find it
Where is it??
The best i've Seen!
Actually not bad at all, I like the long ones because even if it's not the best at least you don't feel cheated for what you spent for the ride!!! The worse one I was on was west point Park in Lansdale pa. About 25 second ride all dark and a string that hits you in the face 🤣 park closed later 80's all houses now..
🤣
Long Branch,N.J.had one on the pier. It all burned down in June 1987😣😣
Do they have the fishing string that hits your head you cant see it as you ride through.
looking at this video wishing to go to the fair bc i miss it.
