- I play a Magic: the Gathering Online Legacy league with a MUD prison deck. This Stax / prison shell is artifact based and splashes a small amount of white mana for cards like Solitude. Between Chalice of the Void, Sphere of Resistance, Lodestone Golem, and other lock pieces, it will be hard for your opponents to do anything when things are going your way! This (mostly) colorless deck has the vibes of Vintage Shops.

Me who remembers Metalworker being unbanned in 2009 and seeing very little play: 'Guess I have.'
With a single pithing needle you could have won the last 3 rounds: put it in the main. This deck might have too much graveyard hate in the sideboard: maybe add 2 karakas over 2 of them. Ingenious Smith seemed like the worse card overall. Maybe replace it with Stone Forge Mystic plus Lion Sash and Kaldra Complete. To just end the game fast after making the lock.. or maybe make this change as a transformational sideboard. This deck is clearly still brimming with potential. As a better death and taxes.

This deck won the Legacy 32 on staurday. I have most of these cards anyway so i tried the legacy 32 build with some mods on a lark in todays 64.
For flying completely blind it could have been worse. Tony beat me to death at one point which was fun and cool 😂
This deck definitely is HATE HATE HATE 😂😅
The build had had some crucibles to add to the wasteland hate in place of the Thorns. The solitudes felt kinda weak with how few white cards their were.
I took annex out because i didnt get the tempo implocations and that was a mistake.

You don't like faerie vs cephalid breakfast, I can't believe it! It's the absolute best card against them, it gives them nightmares! They protect their combo with teferi or Orim's chant and faerie ignores both of them. The only way out is if they draw Cabal therapy or they mill it with an extra body before both thassa and dread return or if they teferi+ and combo with Nomads and specifically name faery, then if you faerie the dread return and narcomoaeba they can dread return as an instant.
Sure, and what does it do against Kaldra or Urza's Saga? The issue with playing against Breakfast is that over-committing to stopping the combo leaves you poorly positioned vs the fair gameplan (and vice versa). My maindeck is full of anti-combo elements, so I don't think I need it here.

If you board too heavily to stop the combo, you lose to the fair elements of the deck.
I suppose the utility of Metamorph copying an opponents creature justifies the 2 life vs. Sculpting Steel

"If Phyrexian Metamorph somehow enters the battlefield at the same time as another permanent (due to Mass Polymorph or Liliana Vess's third ability, for example), Phyrexian Metamorph can't become a copy of that permanent. You may choose only a permanent that's already on the battlefield." Literally a Gatherer ruling from 12.5 years ago.

I try not to play that card in Legacy whenever possible. It doesn't have an immediate impact on the board in most cases.

Ok, less trolly answer: there are 10 white cards in the deck to pitch to it and in some situations you could just 'pitch' it to Mox Opal - IE, play it without a pitch to turn on metalcraft.
