One of the good things about this is it's introducing young people like our reactor to one of the greatest opera tenors of all time, the legendary Plácido Domingo.
I can't believe that he is one of the Three Tenors! I've heard about them before but never investigated enough to find out who they were beyond Pavarotti! Will look forward to delving more!!! Thanks so much for watching along with me! 😊❤️

You should watch the series The Ultimate Dimash Guide by LiLaSi. It has 12 parts. It’s a good one to get to know Dimash. My favorites are Parts 7,8,9,10.😊
Placido Domingo, born Jan. 21, 1941 and Dimash, born May 24, 1994 singing this classic duet on December 10, 2023. So there's 53 years between them, let that sink in for a moment. Placido's voice is still wonderful at age 82 in this clip.

Dimash and Maestro Placido Domingo were judges. Not contestants. This was simply a performance. The Virtuosos is an annual contest in Budapest Hungary in search of new young talent in the world of classical music.
Placido Domingo began his career in the late '50s and early '60s and he is widely regarded as one of the greatest operatic tenors of all time, along with Luciano Pavarotti, Jose Carreras, Andrea Botticelli to name a few. He became better known outside of the world of opera by recording a song with the American folk/country singer John Denver and later toured with Luciano Pavarotti and Jose Carreras known as The Three Tenors.
Dimash, as a young boy, had a VHS tape of Placido Domingo's performances.

Dimash has a recent song called Omir......? which is a show of his life and a request to fate to go easy on him. Then another version on dombra then keyboard in China, and a third at home on piano with his brother Mansur on guitar. These will all show you more of his history, and are all very emotional and beautiful.

Placido Domingo [now 83] was one of the 3 famous tenors in the 90's that sang at the soccer world cup i.e. Pavarotti, Domingo, Carraros. Famous opera tenors. This is a song from an opera. There are some excellent videos about Dimash and his life. there is a 12 part programme that many viewers have found interesting LiLaSi.
Luke, at. 83 Maestro Domingo says he can no longer sing the high tenor notes so he is singing the baritone part even though he’s not an operatic baritone.

It's long to do all at once but many of the episodes are fairly short so you might consider doing two or three at a time. Would love to see you react to them.

It's a duet with Plácido Domingo from George Bizet's Opera "The Pearl Fishers". In the opera world he is a legend. He sang together with Luciano Pavarotti and Jose Carreras. I don't know if you've ever heard of „The Three Tenors“. A few days ago Plácido Domingo's had his 83rd birthday. He and Dimash were judges in a talent-show for young classical talents in Budapest, Hungary called Virtuosos. And in this show one of his biggest dreams came true with this duet.
If you want to learn a little bit more about Dimash not only on stage then I recommend checking out the LiLaSi documentation. She’s a true Dear😍 There are 12 documentaries with different contend. They last between 5-15 minutes and of course in English or English subtitles.

Many enlightening and wonderful things shared already. Rather than repeating, I would like to encourage you to actually watch the first and second parts of the Virtuosos 2023 performances. I'm telling you, the young contestants are nothing short of astonishing!!! There are several whom even the Jury/Judges clearly could hardly contain themselves as they watched and listened to the performance. From an 11 year old pianist, a 12 year old who took them to heaven as she played the harp, several teens on the violin, an oboist, a couple of clarinet wonders and a 20 year old from Ukraine who poured out his passionate feelings about life and his love and hopeful desires for his countrymen and Country. All absolutely astonishing.🥹 Nothing boring there.
