    Wasn't Lynyrd Skynyrd's album "Street Survivors" repackaged also? The original cover had the band surrounded by fire, released before the plane crash I think.😎👍

    • @jacqueschouette7474
      @jacqueschouette7474 Před 7 měsíci +3

      Yes, it was released a few days before the plane crash. The urban legend was that those members who were touched by flames or had flames coming out of their heads (they were standing in front of a fire and it appeared that flames came out of the top of some of the members heads) were the ones that died. This wasn't completely true, but on the album cover, Steve Gaines head was partially obscured by flames, so due to respect for the dead, subsequent copies of the album had a different album cover. Many years later, the original album cover was restored to any re-printing of the album.

      @bryanpeloquin3890 You hit the nail square on the head. They did change the album's cover after the plane crash to respect the band members we lost on the plane, as well as their respective families. If the crash never happened, we probably never would've seen the album's cover without the flames, as the crash changed the visual meaning of that (particularly when it came to poor Steve Gaines, who looked practically swallowed by the flames on the original cover. He hadn't even been in the band for much more than a year when he died in the crash).

    Did you know that on "Love Gun" each member of Kiss was actually a self drawing of the artist (Ken Kelly); he took photos of himself in the various poses, then painted them with the heads / costumes of the band. Similarly, all of the ladies at the feet of the band - it's the same woman, his wife, and, again, he took pictures of her in the various poses and copied them onto the painting (and she does look the ladies as well). I met him at the Kiss Crazy Golf attraction in Las Vegas - a truly lovely man (I later ordered more art from him - including a large print of the classic Rainbow "Rising" cover which he also did).

    Take a gander at Metallica's 72 Seasons and Bob Seger's Back in '72. The Seger album features Turn the Page which Metallica famously covered.

    Can I please suggest not adding background music to your videos? Most of the time I already have music playing in the background and it clashes with the music in the video. Idk if I'm the only one, but I would assume a lot of us already have music playing in some regard

    You forgot to mention the Mr Chad doodle above "Wot? No Guinness" This is better known as Kilroy in the US. But give that it doesn't say "Kilory was here" this is the UK version, Mr Chad.

    I really thought you would have Free's 'Tons of Sobs' cover. Of all of them it is great photography. Check it out.

    I bet their are alot of people that buy the albums just because of the album cover. I know I have done it a few times and even having it back fire thinking it was rock and it was pop or something else lol
