Wow such a privileged opportunity to camp Richard!
how lucky, wonderful experience to have.
Welcome to my country! We have some of the most spectacular canyons, mountains, forests, and lakes in the world! It takes a lifetime to visit and see them all.
Sounds great!
Breathtaking Richard, absolutely breathtaking. Can't wait for the next video 😊👍
Many thanks!
Go Richard!
Well, now you are showing me sights in my own country that I wouldn't normally see. First...Welcome to the USA! Your photography is stunning. Thank you for taking us with you and for being brave enough to try hard, crunchy ice cream.
Thanks! 😃
Absolutely Mint video... You smashed the web👍🏻
Thanks so much for taking the time to film and share.👍🏻🤟👊🤟👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
Magnificent is too weak a word for some things. Thank you Richard.
You're very welcome
Thankyou Richard really enjoyed this video magnificent scenery
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome Richard! I'm also lost for words!!
Wow 😁 absolutely stunning Richard 👍 Can imagine that 2 nights was never going to be enough 😉
Tell me about it
Beautiful video Richard! The Grand Canyon really deserves the name. We're so glad when you come to Arizona!
It really is!
Sir, thank you very much for video taping your hike and camping adventure into the Grand Canyon. It was in my opinion one of the very best videos on line of this subject. I am about to turn 58 in JULY and I am in need of a Hip Replacement. I regret very much not setting this goal 19 or 15 years ago. However I am optimistic that Next year GOD willing, he will allow me to see in person what you did. Thank you again so much for sharing your amazing views with all of us.
breathtaking.
Went there in 2015. Unbelievable! The bath was covered in red mud after that hike. Funny how you remember the quirky bits. The climate there is desert dry. Lots of Native American history in the area also.
Absolutely stunning, I like you are lost for words. Seeing this along with your fanastic film has been amazing. One of the best videos Richard thank you.
Thank you so much 😀
Just stunning! I was blown away by this upload my friend, shots are phenomenal!
Thanks a lot!
Great video Richard thank you so much. Breath taking views.
Great video! The first view of the canyon is incredible, isn't it? I was impressed with the camp-site you had the first night. (Great theme music too.) Thank you.
Yes it was!
Stunning!!! You've been so many places all over the word, so to hear you say you are lost for words, never seen anything like it - is very meaningful. I will likely never make it there, so I just eat up any videos of see of this area. Thank you so much for sharing it!
Wow, thank you!
How did I miss this one when it came out. Cracking camp that Richard. Astonishing scenery, you delivered it really well. More of these please :-)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for taking us with you, Mr O… what a wonderful experience..! We also loved the music Sam composed to accompany your video - it was first class 😊. We’re not so sure about the ice cream sandwich though… it sounded like polystyrene 😂 (I understand they were given to astronauts to eat in space in the ‘70’s 😁x) D&S 👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you liked it! Xx
Wonderful. I think I might break out my Colin Fletcher books.
👍👍
Fantastic video Richard - beautiful scenery! BTW your son is an extremely talented composer/ musician - fully expect to see his name on major films one day 🎉 👏
Many thanks!
Thank you Richard, no wonder it's called the "grand" canyon 😮 Good job by the way! 😁
Good jaab!
Thank you Richard for sharing your Grand Canyon experience - from West Chester, OH
Richard, You have truly outdid yourself with this one!! Absolutely out of this World!! A great many thanks from me, (Martin)
Many thanks!
First class Richard
Beautiful what a camp 👍😁👍
The best!
Richard.....outstanding nothing more I can say 😊😊
Many thanks!
What a great video. Thank you for filming that. We have been to the top of the grand canyon, but it was in the winter, and the bright angel trail was covered in ice!!!
Amazing Richard, sheer amazing!! What a privilege you had there. Thanks for sharing.
Yes it was!
Wow! Land before time! Wonder how many dinosaurs are buried around that place? Good job that person told you about the view point. Had same feelings of pure awe touring Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand. Pics and videos never do it justice, but your reaction fills in the gaps. Thanks for sharing matey!
Great video Richard, amazing scenes and awesome music. Big country needs big sounds and you captured it all. Being speechless says everything and I hope the steak was as good as it looked. Thank you as always for sharing your journey with us.
Many thanks!
Gorgeous ❤
Totally stunning. The uk is so flat in comparison to many countries. I remember seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time, I was blown away
You have set a really high bar for yourself with this video Richard. Great scenery captured perfectly with great videography. Shame about the hat!
Welcome back to the States! So cool that you got to experience the Grand Canyon in such a way. Great video Richard!
Thanks so much!
Amazing video 👍
What an amazing place and views. It's been on my bucket list for a while. Love the thumbs up and down at the start 👍
Highly recommended!
Wow wow wow!! Goose bump moment Richard
Thanks so much for sharing your trip - I doubt I will ever get there - amazing ! Buzzing for you!
Atb 👍🏽
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing Thank you
Thank you too!
Wow Richard, that opening view of the Canyon - astounding. Lovely scenes, it was a pleasure to view and enjoy with you.
Many thanks!
You're very welcome Richard. I was just thinking, around 5 mins from end, it totally epitomises your channel and the scenery suggests a 1000 words. Of all the CZcams gents I watch, so you Andy, Simon, Marc and Josh - you're the first one to make it to The Grand Canyon - good on ya. Well done sir.
Grand canyon would of course been my choice, beautiful, i was there as a child ,60 years ago xthank you for a lovely video xx
You’re welcome 😊
Thanks for that. I live only a couple States away and have never been.
Found this video late, strangely it didn’t come up in my notifications. But what a privilege to join Richard on this epic trek down the Bright Angel Trail, and especially to get to see the view down onto the Colorado River. Brought a lump to this old Brit woman’s throat. Thanks Richard.
As it did mine! Thanks for watching.
@@RichardOutdoors - always my pleasure. You are a joy to journey and camp with, if only through my screen.
Going down in the cool morning air is easy. Coming back as the sun warms the morning is a different kettle of fish.
You got that right!
Video and pictures *never* do it justice. I have visited several times - I am gobsmacked every.single.time.
What a place, Richard. Thanks for taking us along. Have you ever flown over it? 👍🙂
Yes I have
Good evening Richard, good to see you. We're a little late into this upload, but enjoying it. Another great travel post, well done. You make great use of your travel time, and we're grateful you share it. You used a yellow (shadow text?) title for a location after the rest room visit, we didn't find it very easy to read on our TV, FYI only.
Freeze frame? 😂
Thank you for another great video. It's nice to see it with a British perspective. Did I miss the lobster? I didn't spot it 😉
Weight saving this time!
Nice Richard you are only a few hours from me. Next time do the Angles landing trail if is not closed its breathtaking but hairy
Will do
Superb video Richard, really enjoyed that.
The Grand canyon is truly a special place & for you to be able to camp down there is amazing.
I managed to visit once, years ago when I got a bus from PHX, my first view was from a helicopter.
Everybody apart from the pilot gasped when we flew out over the edge, I’ll never forget that!
Big question is how do you top that for a trip?😃
Cheers John B 😎
Impossible!
Awesome video . I went there in 2009. we’d planned to do the bright angle trail but it was closed due to president Obama being there on a visit. Ended up doing the south Kaibab trail instead. Stay safe out there.😎🇬🇧
Fab place for you to show us. Can I just make a suggestion that when you are panning around the view, you don't have to be present in all the shots, much as I enjoy watching your smile!!
Noted!
Incorrect. There are lots of pictures and videos of “places”… with you in the shot it becomes a shared experience… thats the whole point isn’t it?
Be in the shot…
