11 Shelters for Children: Dedication @ Gan Gila

Yesterday we held a festive dedication of the 11th shelter installed by Sparks to Life. We are still the only local organization working to bring shelters to protect the children in our region of northern Israel.
Mayor Yossi Kakon expressed immense gratitude: "What you have done here for the children is much more than being able to run to shelter. It can impact their entire lives. G-d forbid, a child can be traumatized from the sirens...it's very stressful. But when there is the security of having a place to run to, our daily lives are different...they're calmer and there is much less damage to their mental health during these complicated times.
