Adobe After Effects is a fantastic tool, but it can be a bit overwhelming at first. There are a ton of features and workflows that you can use. But luckily there are also a ton of third party extensions and plugins available to help you speed up your workflow and get 'in the zone.' In this video, I share 3 such tools with you that will really help you save time in After Effects. As always, I hope you like my videos, and I hope that by the time you're finished this video you'll be well on your way to saving time.

I use overlord and motion 3. it will be interesting to know more about motion 3 and MoBar, especially your personal user experience. Thanks for the Video, John.
These are all great tools. MoBar has been the most recent addition to my workflow and I've quickly found myself using the create shapes with controllers more than I thought I would, as the ease in animating basic geometric shape paths is so much easier. In either case-your content, style and presentation are great. Hope you keep creating more stuff like this!
I also got MoBar, yet, I did not find "create shapes with controllers" feature. What is it called exactly in the menu? [There's only Circle/Rectangle Wizard]
How are you utilizing it exactly?
First of all, thank you for all the great content you've published at Keyframe Academy! There is no doubt that Motion and Overlord are among the most useful scripts out there. They are a part of my daily workflow. You convinced me that MoBar could easily fit into the same "MUST HAVE" scripts category. It would be fantastic if you could publish a video exploring all the available options for Mobar, since there are so many...
I am planning to purchase MoBar. However, as you mentioned, it will be beneficial for your subscribers if you can do a deep dive into MoBar and Motion-3 as well. It would be nice to see more than an exploration of the features but actual samples of how other designers use them. Thank you again for your hard work!
Thank you! It's brilliant!
Omg so so so amazing thanks for this video!!!
Motion 3 Deep Dive please!
Have Motion 3 and Mobar. Mobar was a must purchase
Please create a separate video for motion 3 and MoBar workflow. I have both. I need more tips.
Great video and thanks! I would like to know more about motion 3 and moBar
I just bought the Mobar2. Autocrop tool is just one reason I had to buy this plugin!
yes please deep dive motion 3
My top tools to save time are motion tools, ease-copy and true comp duplicator
Nice! I actually had ease copy included in this video but the video was just becoming too long that I decided to cut it, but yes, definitely one of my favorites.
Motion 3 Deep Dive Waited
Could you do some more demos of Mobar and Motion 3, a movie each perhaps? Cheers for running a great channel. I learned a great deal about shape layers and sorting out problems with shape layers from you. Really grateful. - Stephen
There's a lack of tutorials about Mobar. Practically none.
@@eladbari Absolutely. We need more.
Mobar Deep Dive also please !!
@Keyframe Academy what is name Take_Shape plugin name?I cant find
Motion 3 deepdive🙏
@10:39 - There's a Conflict / Logistical Bug between the "Organize Project" + "Folder Structure" feature. 🤔
As the Organize project does not know:
A. How to use the structure you already built with the Folder Structure feature
B. "Organize Project" doesn't work with sub-folders really. So, if I want to have a GFX folder> and inside it a PSD folder + Still Images + AI [illustrator] folders- it wont know to direct these file types where you want them specifically. It just does it in general. Audio to a general folder etc. Should be able to assign file extension to a specific folder to make it usable.
Have all 3. Practically necessary. Do you know if you can assign a keystroke to get into the mobar search? Mobar is worth the grids and guides alone
I would definitely take a mobar deep dive I just learned a bunch from this little segment here that I didn’t know
Having developed my own script, as far as I know you can implement keystrokes to execute a function but you have to have that panel active (blue box highlighted) to use the keystroke, which for me defeats the whole purpose of keystrokes...:(
I'm not aware of any keystrokes shortcuts for Mobar at the moment.
Thank you for your comment, Dave. Currently, we are working on an update and assigning a shortcut to the search function is already on our to-do list
@9:05 - In What cases do you need to disable an Expression? I mean, what good does it do? As you gotta see how the layer/or adjustments work with the Expression anyways, no?
If you have an expression applied to a mask or shape path, and you need to adjust the shape or mask, you must disable the expression first. That just one scenario. But I'm sure there are a myriad of reasons why you'd want to disable an expression temporarily or else the function wouldn't exist.
@@TheKeyframeAcademy oh, that's interesting. I mostly remember using expressions on Position, Size, Rotation, yet not to a Path or a Mask. I wonder what kind of Expressions work on them and what do they achieve. (Is there an expression that can organically manipulate a path? In a kind of a Sine wave or anything looking organic?)
People are screaming for a deep stage dive for Mobar. Hear us you royal!
I have one already
@@TheKeyframeAcademy So It’s time to release kraken. Don’t you mean this one, right?
what's the difference between "mobar" and "kbar"?
Searching this answer for centuries.
Dillon francis 😂😂
What is the script you are using called Take_Shape? I tried googling it to no avail. Thanks in advance, I appreciate your content it has been useful in many ways.
