I used the ballmaker for awhile, then I just went to making the bait balls by hand. Much faster and relatively same size bait balls. The launchers make a huge difference when baiting up. Easier use than spods n spombs, far less water disturbance. Obviously, it is for bait balls only, but I have launched pva solid bags in them. Up next is to launch my actual fishing rig, lead, inside a bait ball and launch it with the bail open obviously.

That pult idea is very clever very innovative I guess you could use that with baits as well to reduce spread, opens all possibilities.

Why would it break down when it hits the lake bed as apposed to when it smashes in to the water surface. The impact on surface is greater

Nice vid, captured the feeling of fishing more than most people. I was thinking just 2 days ago, surely a good tactic would be to sling 4 o5 bags in an area that mimic the one with the rig in.....

Nice one Joe , fished there a few weeks back on the peg to the right 13 runs in 24 hrs so well busy .
Nothing massive but enjoyable all the same .
Oh yea , all on standard Scopex ... Not scopex squid .

Great quality video, 1 thing I don't understand is, after a long day blanking when the bream moves in u reel the rods in??! Why mate? U could just change the hook bait to something bigger and u good to go.
It's a thing I find a bit sad, lack of passion, but after all the constant fishing maybe I wouldn't be different at all. Anyway cheers, and again best quality.

Maybe after being up and down all night he just needed some uninterrupted sleep? Especially as he said he had to be off in the morning and I assume driving so seems like common sense.

Great content as always Joe. Don't understand the 20mm ball scruncher though !!!!just squeeze a Billie and throw it in..... Bit gimmicky if you fish in a budget. Great tactic though and gets the brain ticking

It's a good idea to use groundbait.
I was going to write a book on it but two pages in....got bored.
Don't make a meal out of it.
Takes them time to know it's coming.
    A week maybe more.
I was going to fish in my drive but discovered there was no water.
Then I went to a fishing lake.
I am using solid bags cos I like solid bags. They is more solid than the unsolid ones.

@@nuffinbutfishing Lol. I've been carping for 50 years now. Man and boy.
And I've seen enough crap talked over the years.
I used to fish the same lakes as a guy called Fred Wilton. Look him up.
      He was a friend.
Prebaiting is the best way. Maybe over a month and twice a week at least.
Train them like you train dogs.
      I had 4 x 30s a few weeks ago and guess what?
The bait was Sainsbury's pork and beef sausages. Well fried. Groundbait was the same catapulted out.
Obviously cut them to one inch lengths.
      Hi tech....it's just for mugs.
Best attractant is the used oil from cooking the sausages.
      Trust me.

@@nuffinbutfishing I just tied a choddy woddy double noddy bod wad rig.......so far no luck.
It's so complicated even an England goalkeeper has to have it done for him.
The choddy waddy noddy is the bees knees of Rigs.
On the other hand, try casting to where they are.
If you can tie the double noddy....you've caught all the fish in the lake.....apart from Snide Dave.

I get the idea of placing the lead to one side but what if your fishing at range say 80-100 yds will the bag wobble on the cast then losing distance with the lead not in the centre of the bag ?

    • @nuffinbutfishing
      @nuffinbutfishing Před 3 lety +1

I have not found the bag to wobble at greater distances. We are talking about the lead being about a cm or so off centre so it isn't massively unbalanced

  • @SciD1
    @SciD1 Před rokem

The pouch should go along with the ball, otherwise, it's hard to be precise without using distance sticks and clipping.

I have never understood buying coated braid, at a premium price, and stripping it to just use the braid. You can get a great supple braid, uncoated, saving you both a step and some cost.
