Summary: Jackson's dad Jerry arrives at the hospital, and wastes no time in blaming Aaron for his son's condition.
No copyight infringement intended.
The look on Aaron's face when Jerry told him it would be his fault if Jackson died was heartbreaking. He just looked so vulnerable and lost - I've never seen pain like it. Danny Miller's performance was beyond words.
I actually started tearing up. I've only ever cried at TV four times and it was always with Aaron's heartbreaking scenes.
After what he's done? I'm sorry Jerry but what exactly did Aaron do? Nothing, that's what! This was not his fault. Aaron sometimes is at fault for some things, losing his temper and hitting someone, hiding facts about things he shouldn't, sometimes stealing, etc. but this is not one of those things that he is at fault. This was just what everyone is saying, an ACCIDENT! Jackson chose to either answer that phone, to look down at it, or to let it ring. He chose to drive off in that van while he was upset. Aaron did not do anything to cause this accident. He didn't cut the brakes, or grab the wheel while Jackson was driving, or fight with him in the van while he was driving, or spike his drink so Jackson would pass out while he was driving, nothing. Aaron is not to blame for this. So just shut up Jerry and fuck off! It's not like you've been much of a dad to Jackson recently anyway, not since he came out and you hit him. What right do you have to drop back into his life now and start calling the shots. What, just because you are his bio dad! As Aaron can attest to from experience with his own dad, just because you share DNA doesn't make you a good parent. And he should know.

Even though we didn't actually see him at the hospital I'm glad they said Adam was there, soap friendships are so easily forgotten about it's nice to know Aaron and Jackson still have the kind of friendship where you'll get a taxi to a hospital in the middle of the night to be there
Did we ever get a Chaz and Jerry face to face? Or were we robbed of it? Because I think if Chaz walked in on this right here she would have ripped Jerry a brand new one and fed it to him.

I kinda liked the fact that Aaron didn't go mad and start on Jackson's dad.....it shows how he's changing....
I really can´t stop watching again and again episodes from the past few days. And every time I cry. Very emotional and sad. I really hope Jackson makes a full recovery.

Emmerdale has been awsome this week. I have been waiting for a while for the show to bring something interesting again. My hat goes off to the writers they wrote an excellent storyline. I am happy they are letting Jackson and Aaron show affection toward each other and express emotion. This week has been so juicy and I cannot waite until next week to see more.

one thing I dont get. Adam arrives at the farm knackered because he'd been up all night, but he wasnt at the hospital with Aaron . . . at least we didnt see him . . . is there a bit missing here maybe?
When people are in grief, most play the blaming-game. Even Chaz and Paddy had that argument when Aaron was in coma right after trying to commit suicide. It's a common emotion for those who can't handle the grief or guilt.
@Jendall1 Honey you´re not the only one. I just feel a mess. I can´t sleep properly. It is all so well done is unbelievable. Best thing ever on tv. Everybody needs to vote before Monday. They deserve all the awards this year. We have only just began with those achieved last month... Oh and cheer up guys. I know it´s hard but we have to make it!!!

WTF? Jerry has the nerve to call Aaron a chav and accusing Hazel of getting Aaron and Jackson together even when his son is severely messed up and could die? Oh it's on. I'm all for Paddy and Aaron ganging up on him. 2 on 1. How can he even claim to be concerned when he rejected his own son in the past? Wow.
As for Aaron, WTH??? He needs you more than ever! He'd be more upset and hurt if you don't come to him. I certainly can't wait to see what's in store for both.
It's definitely not Aaron's fault that Jackson was in the accident. People receive calls on their cell phones all the time while driving. No one is forced to answer any call. In fact, many jurisdictions now make it illegal to use cell phones while driving.
Aaron may FEEL responsible because of the argument and his subsequent call but that doesn't make him responsible. Jackson's father is a real piece of work. He's probably really good at blaming everyone else for his own shortcomings.
How am I supose to wait until monday to watch what happens next ???

Aaron facial expression when his "father-in-law" is blaming him ... he's such a good actor. This was terrifying to watch. I felt so bad for Aaron. I don't care what you think about him ... no one deserves to feel like he must feel right now. It's in no way his fault, but I'm sure you can't help but think that in his situation. So sad ...
Oh how I hate that Aaron is blaming himself, even though I knew it was inevitable. Jackson's dad is an idiot. I wanted to be there to stop Aaron from leaving at the end. Paddy is so right. Jackson needs him. I want Aaron in that room at Jackson's bedside. Jackson needs to know that Aaron is there to support and that Aaron does indeed love him, he simply can't say the words. Can't wait for more.
Jackson's father has no right to talk to Aaron or even Paddy.... Paddy is Aaron's dad and he's the one that you can refer him as a "Father figure". Paddy is a good father, he's always there for Aaron despite Aaron is treating him bad and don't listen to him. But i'm sorry Jerry, i don't see how you call urself *dad when you ask Aaron to get lost when Jackson needs him the most! So Jackson, please wake up soon and tell your so called *Dad that you love Aaron and nothing can change that!!
Now I have to wait all weekend to see what happens next.
"Going for a quick shower, back in 5." Okay, so he's gunna need to walk up to the house, turn on the shower, shower, get dressed, then go back to the farm. In 5 minutes??
I don't think ED was terrible... I like the fact that this soap is not cheesy, bad acting with cliché after cliché storyline.
Jackson's dad is horrible. I get that he loves his son (even though he's homophobic), but taking it out on Aaron is just harsh. And when he was blaming him for everything...the look on Aaron's face (Danny Miller's a star)...broke my heart again. Oh, Aaron...he's already so insecure that being blamed isn't going to do him any favours.
And Jackson lying there not waking up is like kicking my already broken heart.
Jackson dad is soo harsh..But the Actor who plays him is doing great !!.

I can see Hazel corning Aaron in the village and saying I want you there because Jackson would want you there. I can see Hazel literally dragging Aaron in to visit Jackson. Aaron loves Jackson, he just thinks he's bad and thinks the best thing for Jackson is for him to stay away.
@AOP25 Jackson Wants To See Aaron Because He Is In Love With Him. Aaron Didnt Want Him To Say The "L" Word Because Aaron Didnt Know How To React, But In Another Way He Did Want To Hear It. Aaron Has Shown Everyone In The Last 2 Days That He Is Madly In Love With Jackson. Those Tears Are Not For Nothing. Letting His NO GOOD Father Control Him Using His Emotions Shows That All He Wants Is For Jackson To Live And To Be Happy.
I do agree with everyone that Jackson's father is a real tool but something tells me he does love his son, he just can't get his mind around the fact that his son is gay. His inabiblity to do that has caused not only a rift between him and Jackson but between him and his wife as well, for she was able to love Jackson for who he is not for what she wanted him to be unlike his father.

OMG, I am a little upset at Aaron, for not saying what he feels, and for walking away from the hospital....
Jackson's dad is a piece of work, but I'd be worried if at least one of Jackson's parents didn't react that way....Anyway, I hope Jackson pulls though.
How did this show go from terrible to brilliant in two episodes?
Jackson's father was horrible to Aaron. I wonder how him and others will react if and when they find out the truth about how Jackson's car was hit by the train. The way I see it, the phone call distracted Jackson for the first collision, but the train hitting him was because of where his car landed...
Paddy is right Aaron - he does need you... and you need him
@AlanRM1000 Definitely. Paddy's more of a father to Aaron than Jerry ever was to Jackson, since it's obvious that he's never accepted Jackson being gay. And being angry at Aaron is him just taking his anger and frustrations out on someone because by blaming him he's taking the easy way out. I think he's anger runs a lot deeper than just the crash.
who the FU*K is jacksons father to tell AARON ANYTHING?!? where the hell was he through all of this... he does NOT have the right to call himself a FATHER and then try to act all high and mighty... and what the HELL is wrong with aaron... he's tough when he doesnt need to be and when the situation calls for some balls he wimps out!!! Yes...Jacksons father had a right to know and a right to be there... but by no means did he have ANY right to blame anyone for what happened to his son... PERIOD...

Yes Jackson could have let the phone ring Aaron shouldn't have called no matter how you look at it. it happened. jsut the same. Now for us to look at this.. we have to move on and hope for the best.
Jerry will look at it as it is Aarons fault aaron will see it that way as well. while Jackson when he wakes( hope and pray he does) will see it as his fault.. so the thing they have to do is move on

Nobody ever mention that "his [Jackson] mate" is his boyfriend. Well kind of because they were breaking up just before the accident. But this Jerry doesn't need to know the detail...

@AlanRM1000 It's like I said before, I don't care about Aaron right now, and I don't really care about whether Jerry approves of his son's lifestyle or not. The way I see it, let the homophobe and the drama queen duke it out. That way they both can get kicked out of the hospital. My only concern is Jackson, and I refuse to make this all about Aaron. I've had enough.
Oh the similarities between Jackson's dad and Aaron are frightening The angry lashing out and blame driven rage? Looks as if our boy Jackson may have some serious daddy issues.
Does anyone else feel that this is a bit of a continuity error? Back in April, J told A that when he told his parents he was gay, "nothing" happened, they just want him to be happy.
Now they bring in his dad and he is anything but accepting???
Just seems like they only decided later on to show more of J's background and forgot about that initial conversation.

My first comment to this soap: OK, maybe I'm so new to this story that I can't really understand, but... for what I can remember, I didn't even know Jackson had a father somewhere till this... Mr-Who-The-Hell-Are-You didn't come at the hospital claiming he's a father (really? Interesting!) and he's the only one who can understand how painful is seeing his son lying in that bed (yeah, du, because his boyfriend is just not giving a toss, huh?!), am I wrong? What the hell does this jerk want NOW???

@AnifanBaby Angry, vile, & irrational. It's never easy to see your kid in that state, and it's always easy to find someone else to blame for it, much like when Chas blamed Paddy when Aaron was in the hospital for attempted suicide. It's human nature.
I watched the whole aaron and robert story and I felt for both of them everytime they were sad or mad or happy or anything. I don't really feel anything for aaron or jackson.

By the way I was referring to the scratches on Aaron as maybe then the dad having a reason to blame Aaron - but as I say - terrible script and badly acted by all and he's still pointless. There's nothing remotely interesting in a bully that is Aaron.

Chav - it's generally used as an insult to describe someone who looks and acts in a particular way, like they normally wear tracksuits, have a particularly thug-like appearance etc. It's not a compliment

Paddy is more of a Father to Aaron and yes he will definately stand in for Jackson if needed but.. Jerry reminds me of Mickey.. cept instead of a thug using fists..he uses words. He prolly uses fists to but that stems from his bigotry towards the situation.
I just don't get this at all. Why does Aaron keep going on about "it's my fault, I was calling him". And how can Jackson's dad just turn and start throwing accusations. And why did Hazel not question the bruises on Aaron's hand. This is a very badly written script and not very well acted either and for a totally pointless character that is Aaron.

It's just a derogatory word for working class people, people who don't have that much money but aren't homeless. Basically for people who have bad wages and a bad education.
I know this is a year old but it (originally) stood for 'Council Housed And Violent' - people who live in working class homes they don't personally own and who are angry / violent / disrespectful. But like a lot of words it evolved to encompass people who wear track suits, have big scary dogs, and are rude and aggressive with a bad attitude
