T.Rex - Children Of The Revolution - Official Promo Video

- The videos for Buick MacKane and Children of the Revolution were filmed on the same day - probably in October 1972 in London, although it is unclear for what purpose they were made. In both videos Marc is using his newly-acquired Veleno custom aluminium guitar.
Featuring the classic T.Rex line-up of Marc Bolan, Mickey Finn, Steve Currie and Bill Legend, Buick MacKane was a favourite track from The Slider album (released 21 July 1972), while the anthemic Children of the Revolution was the third single on Bolan’s T.Rex label, released 8 September 1972 and reaching number two in the top 40. It is one of Bolan’s most enduring songs and the title phrase is frequently referenced in the English language.
Released in 1972 - Who is rocking to it in 2024 ?
Me! 😎
Me too 🎶😜
2023
I just discovered this band! I was 8 then!
🫶🏻
I'm 66 and been a fan since 1970 Ride a white swan, and when I hear a T.REX song on the radio, TV the hairs on the back of my neck still stick up. Bolan got me good and proper, and I've passed it on to my grandson he loves it
I'm '64 and share your feelings❤
The t.rex effect 🙏
You and me both bro. Rock On❤
More than 50 years old and it still rocks.
Absolutely true! I still love it and it has not lost something of its power!❣️✊🏻
So trure
Yep!!
Dang😢
"I got a Rolls Royce cos it's good for my voice" ... the greatest Marc Bolan proverb
Marc Bolan was so unique!
Children of the revolution and metal guru are my favourite T.Rex singles.
Me too ✋️ !.. S.- Petersburg.
I'm watching 9th May 2024 love this song so much ❤
🎉
No matter how many times you view this, you will NERVER, EVER get tired of it, timeless 👌
Never not nerver.

Except for the bad covers that me really sick .
I think Marc Bolan’s voice was imprinted on my soul when I was 11 years old. There’s no one else who sounds like him, and his voice always stirs the memories..in the best way!!
I've still got T Rex Vinyl LP from the 70's. Agree no one else sounds like him. Yes, his voice always stirs the memories and the glam rock is amazing.
This song is 2 minutes and 25 seconds of pure joy.
Me encanta me trasporta👏👏👏👏👏

In the Seventies an absolute Masterpiece. And this Days......unreached.
One of the best bands of the glam rock era .
The originators of glam rock.
There was only one Marc Bolan, rest in peace man.
Wracam często do muzyki lat 60 i 70 -dziesiątych. A słuchając "Epitafium" King Crimson, zawsze widzę obrazy i fotografie, przemijającego czasu. Serdecznie Pozdrawiam z Lublina.🫶💐
TRUE TALENT....RIP FOREVER MARC BOLAN. GREATEST SONG EVER
one of his first
Came here after rebel moon trailer…What a great song!!
Absolutely love this song . Not long after it came out I was on holiday at a pontins camp and this was on the jukebox in the arcade . I spent about 50p in that jukebox that week and as it was 2p a go that's a lot of revolution for a 9 Yr old.
😂
Love it
Long live the glam revolution
Cool kid!
This is allmost some of the most pure and original pop-rock You may ever hear. It pulses with a rythm and tone art that embraces You with exitement and joy.

There hasn't been a British band as good as T Rex since.... T Rex.
@Ian Pemberton or the velvet underground :р or the lou reed
@Ian Pemberton i love just one hit frim this album "Take a walk on the wild side"
Stone Roses
@@LSUOdyssey The had a pretty good album, yes, and a great guitar player, but not the boxload of classic songs T Rex had. They fell a long way short there.
@@irmi8290 All very interesting but none of them are british bands. Or a tenth as good as T Rex! :-)
Growing up I always thought they sang "Now you want food ... The children of the revolution, now you want food"
I still here those words when I listen lol and to be honest, both that and the real lyrics/version are awesome 😎
This is a rock star! Great songs. Looks great. Great band. God those were the days.
NO MUKE UP MUSIC THERE, JUST RAW TALENT!!
if you like this you might like my brothers music. his name is Stu Morris
Marc my lovely 💯💖 revolutionary artist. I always loved this song.. But it was when I first heard it on an advert (I was born in 1977)it was 1990, they didn't fool this child cos I soon seeked out the singer - , loved Marc ever since! thank you ❤️

I remember buying this as a kid. The label was red on white. Played it so much it wore out.
Appropriate song for these times............
There have been so many pretenders to his crown but there. was only ever one Marc bolan
T. Rex kicks ass!
He was my first music hero. When my school friends were into Bay City Rollers and Slade Marc Bolan was my hero,
Pure music Magic 🎶😎
I remember buying this record....played it till it died...
T. Rex is my carnal pleasure!
misunderstood unappreciated visionary influencing many like Bowie but not recognized while tapping into many genres to come a POWER HOUSE !
@Ian Pemberton obviously a Bowie fan so your judgement is flaw and not unbiased.
That duck face lol 💁🏻♀️❤️
Wrong assumption I'm not a Bowie fan ... I do like some of his work but not a fan ...
I freaking love this song!

Was a sad time when he crashed out
1972 when I was 12 ... got me hook, line and sinker
Awesome. I remember exactly where I was, in my bedroom, what time of the day it was, everything just like it was yesterday, when I heard on the radio that he had been killed. I was 15 years old...
