Darci had it in the bag from night 1. Her singing was spot on ....with her mouth closed. She could sing any genre and her different voice were totally individual.

A lot of native talent, a lot of parental support early in her life, a lot of maturing into a beautiful young woman, and (a few years ago) a little bit of courage to try something new. Mix all of that together and you have Darci Lynne. Simon saw years ago that she was destined for a big career. He's not ALWAYS right - but this one, he nailed solidly.
@Quaker 2019 - I'm old enough to remember Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop. Darci is no less than her equal. Maybe better - there, I"ll admit I'm not sure. But NO LESS than her equal.
