Hardest part is not taking damage, especially from max scientist stray shots. Rest is easy. Enemies in generals mode have the health and damage modifiers of Normal, and voltornator builds less turrets than classic AI.
Mad scientist stray shot is the biggest problem, but you can avoid that by simply have ground advantage when the death ray come. How? Don't build turrets.
