Congrats guys. We picked up our Beach 6.1 in April and it's the perfect balance of a day van and for trips away. Works great with the glawning too! Enjoy

Great choice, we rarely cook in our Ocean and I have often thought a Beach is the way to go. That bed is so huge.

Good choice guys, I spec’d a T6.1 beach when they first appeared on the VW site but couldn’t afford the price then and they have only increased massively since. Have fun and enjoy!
Didn’t see that coming but think it’s an excellent choice 😊 we have had a 4 seater Beach for 2.5 years which we absolutely love they are brilliant vehicles. The Ascot Grey looks lovely, enjoy 👍🏻
That was a surprise! I’d not have expected that choice but as I have a T6 Beach myself I totally get it. Lovely looking van, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it so much.
Great choice ! I would chose a beach most people don't cook in the van but the option s there if you need it !

Really wasn't expecting that. Guessed at a Grand California. Saw the van and thought a new Ocean. A Beach !!? Your experienced campervaners/motorhomers, so I'm sure you've made the right choice for you, and that's what counts. Can't wait to see you out in your new baby.

I watched all your videos since the beginning and they were one of the main reasons I bought a Cali, but I went with a Beach (4 years ago) and have not regretted it at all. Brilliant buy. The beach are so versatile, allowing you to use it as a car, holiday machine and even a van if needs be. The king size bed is amazing!! So happy you didn't go with the grand, just feel they're not really in the same bracket as a 'true California'. Great decision and my wife and I look very much forward to your new adventures and holidays. My hint, I cannot recommend Vanessa window bags enough for the beach! They add so much more room, especially now there's three of you!! We already have kids and now just got a puppy, so we've done things back to front from you, so exciting times for all!!!
Congratulations on your purchase. I hope to see your full review / thoughts soon, as my wife and I are looking to purchase a Beach very soon and would love your insight into the 3 bench Beach, which is our preference at the moment.
Interesting choice. We have a T6 Beach with two young kids. Works well for us, although we find some kind of external storage a must for decanting stuff into, drive-away awning or pop-up tent. We also have a Maxxcamp sink unit which is great for longer trips. Enjoy!
Yep - I didnt see that coming, no point being dishonest about it.
The one question that passed my lips as you showed us what it had, is fridge. The best thing about about my T6 custom built camper, is that the fridge is epic and covers me for all eventualities.
In fairness beyond that, I will be dialled in to see how you get on with it.
Makes perfect sense with an expanding family and a much better alternative to an estate car, looking forward to the review

Sleep in it! Love the new kitchen. Big change from ocean though. You will want Vanessa bags to go in back Windows to give you some organisation. Lack of organisation i love (can Chuck anything in) and hate (things can get lost if not organised and harder with bed down to store stuff). But enjoy. Great van!!

Interesting choice. We have a T4 Westfalia Cali Beach. (Limited edition with full camping interior) saw a new model Beach in Dorset the other day and was surprised there was no cabinetry inside.
Thought like most in here it was going to be a grand. Can’t wait for your new adventures in the new one👌

Not that surprised, it's the best choice. We had a converted t6 with full kitchen etc. We never ever cooked in the van when camping. After living with the fully kitted out van for a few years we realised as a family of three that space and comfy beds and every day usability are the priority! You really dont need as much furniture in a can as you think! We want a beach so much but until we can afford one it's back to car camping with a tent

Never would have guessed 🤷🏼♂️ we had the Caravelle Exec which had the full size bed & removable pods. Liking the stove in the door 👍🏻😁
Must admit didn’t see that coming. Will be interesting to see the full review. Especially about the practicalities of storage, with none of the cabinets etc. Enjoy!
Congratulations on the new van. Another happy beach owner here. We love the flexibility. 7 seater MPV when needed. We take a big tent for long summer trips and a smaller storage tent for weekends. We don't spend much time inside the van to be honest but then we live in central Europe and don't have to contend with British weather. Hope you enjoy it.

It is the best layout to suit current lifestyle great choice but was quite a surprised one too.

Wow! Didn't see that coming. We have the 6.1 beach with 2 seats (plus 1 extra) and the box, it's perfect with kids - ours who are 8 and 10 love it too. Fantastic choice guys! 😊

Wow that is a surprise, I was thinking the grand cali. We got an ocean in ascot grey, it’s such a different colour, depending from the light it goes from bright white to a middle grey. Well done guys

Seeing them again in a couple of weeks”? Picking up a Grand as well for the longer trips and Beach for everyday wheels?
We have the 7 seater Beach it is a much better family choice, especially if only running 1 vehicle. "Minibus " configuration opens up a wider resale market when/if that time comes. The lidar in the nose of the vehicle suffers in heavy snow, needs a sweep every now and again.

Well that was a surprise, was expecting a Grand Cali or a bespoke conversion on a LWB T6.1. We’ve just ordered an Ocean in Ascot Grey, just got to wait ten months now. We did consider a Beach as we don’t do that much cooking in the van but we do like a bit of cupboard storage space. Envious of the bigger bed though 😂😭. If you’re back in a few weeks though I hope it’s not a service visit! 🤣 I was told the other day that Cali order books are now closed and the wait for a new order placed now is about 18 months!
Pouch, 18 months, diesesl will be banned then :-0. A beach with Vanessa window bags gives you tonnes of storage and a lovely king size bed :-)

I was begrudgingly expecting a bigger van but am totally chuffed that you didn’t.
We are a family of 5 plus dog in a Beach and am hoping that you go all out with innovative ways of maximising storage and retaining an element of comfort.

That was a surprise! Beautiful van though inside and out. Top choice, mine's also Ascot Grey (a much cheaper van though!!)
On a nerdy note - I can tell you the LEDs are insanely good (and great to watch them adjusting as the road contours up and down in front of you!). Yep, I'm a proper nerd!

I honestly thought you was going to be getting the California Grand or even a Crafter as they are more lager than what you previously had but you went for something that’s a little smaller on the inside, glad you are happy with your choice tho and happy camping with your new bus
