Overcoming Stuttering

  • Hey everyone! This is just me sharing my experience on how I learned to communicate a bit more clearly.
I had to trim a good amount from this video to get it under 60 seconds (so it can be used in CZcams Shorts), so if you want more information, I left a longer version here: / clesohblccq
I really want to emphasize that it's using your voice to COMMUNICATE and listen back that will help. If you just read pages out of a textbook or something, it may help with enunciation, but not as much when you actually need to translate your thoughts to words.
I hope that can help you out and you all have a beautiful day!

@@TehUltimateSnake Honestly I grew up reading Warhammer and Warhammer 40k books, and I would seriously give those a try if you like gritty and grusome fantasy/sci-fi books. They're all very descriptive and use some amazing vocabulary, so I often come across words I don't recognize and I end up looking them up or googling them.
I recommend physically writing down the word and definitions of words you don't recognize. You don't have to study them or anything, it's just that I find the action of physically writing them down helps me to cement them in my memory. Then again everyone learns differently, so do what's best for you.
As for specific book recommendations for getting into Warhammer I would read the Gotrek and Felix series of books and I also thoroughly enjoyed the series Brunner the Bounty Hunter. Right now I'm reading The Return of Nagash, but that book ties into a lot of events that have happened in other books by different authors and features a lot of characters prevalent in Warhammer lore that it's hard to appreciate them unless you knew about them before hand.
For Warhammer 40k, I would recommend starting out with a short story omnibus like Hammer and Bolter or reading the series Gaunt's Ghosts or Ciaphas Cain. The series that really got me into Warhammer 40k was actually Path of the Warrior by Gav Thorpe. That series was fantastic!
This isn't Warhammer related, but The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson is probably my favorite book of all time, so I fully recommend reading that one first!
Also the Vlad Taltos series by Steven Brust is awesome too!

Question: do you stutter in other languages? I’ve found many who stutter in their native languages don’t stutter in others. Perhaps it is the mindfulness of reviewing words before speaking them.

Irrelevantly to this video, I lost around 6 kilograms (including water weight) the past 3 weeks while working out and changing my diet plan. I think watching your videos one after another planted motivation in me subconsciously because I genuinely felt them even If I didnt act immediately and at a point that seed started growing. I wanna thank you man! Even if I don't watch youtube that much lately you're still one of the main reasons I was able to start working out and doing careful changes. Much love man, hope you hit all your goals and more!
