- Here's a 1987 Buick Regal "T" I just found and purchased after waiting 25 + years looking and saving my ready money. This is the 2nd of 2 white G's that I own, only this ones made with built / optioned with the "black-out" option package. NOTHINGS PERFECT: (and this car's no exception) ... but being almost 30 years old, "I'm in love" !
Have a look at what I feel is the "prettiest" car EVER Made ! - Auta a dopravní prostředky
very nice and rare car
Nice, very nice. I can tell you are a proud owner. I would be too.
very nice! an 86 is a T-Type and in 87 its a Turbo T. anyway really like it and ive always wanted a white one too. i own an 87 GN with 25,000 miles and ive owned it since 2000. i used to havr a Grey 87 Turbo T, but ive always longed for the White T-Type or Turbo T. my only requirement would be a grey interior
Nice I have white turbo t also 1987
Sweet
Clean car!
Thanks !! "theirs far nicer here". :- )
Beautiful car I see you took care of it would love to get it for my dad he used to own the same car
I replied under this car's "thread". : - )
very nice
Analicia Ramirez Thanks Analicia !
i was always a fan of of the fan jet/corvette rims so old school
Man, I'm so jealous. I bought one of these back in 2001 for $1,700 that had a blown head gasket (only 48,000 miles) caused by an unhooked vacuum to the turbo waste-gate. I fixed it and sold it the following week for $3,600 to buy a wedding ring and had a baby on the way. Even though I over doubled my money and bought the ring outright, I wish to this day I had kept it.
Sounds like your priorities are STRAIGHT Chad ! "I've been there" ! Later in life you find another when you least expect it, and who knows ... "Maybe that will be the one you'll keep" !
Take good care, (and THANKS) !
Great video...l use to have one in silver...best days of my life
I learned to drive on a 85. Still have it and no matter how long it takes, I will bring it back to life!
this is the nicest one I've seen; wonderfully stock! I'm envious!
thanks for posting and happy motoring!
Thanks for sharing. Beautiful.
I'd leave the knock and boost gauge. it could save you down the road as well as the oil psi. If your wastegate line ever falls off due to root or something you will instantly see the overboost and be able to let off the gas before it blows a head gasket.
Very nice! I used to have a white 87' Limited, with blue interior. Currently my father owns a blue 87' Limited with blue interior- cant wait to buy it from him one day!
Beautiful. I love all Regals
The little rascals music is the best
ANYTHING "Hal Roach" IS the BEST !. :- )
You know I can’t stop watching this video. I’ve owned a 1987 WE4 Turbo T limited edition blackout lightweight edition since February 25th 1987 it was my very first car and I will own that till the day I die. It’s bone stock and never saw bad weather. I my garage queen/show car in the making.
A few years ago I bought a fair condition Grand National with a great no rust body to use as my play around fast car.
But honestly I want a regular non stealthy either T-type or turbo T in White with either The standard maroon, or navy blue interior. I would even take a 60/40 bench seat with a column shifter or a limited turbo T with that real comfortable interior. Because I’m gunna be honest. When I was a kid those bucket seats were cool to cruse in and lean to the right with your elbow on the center console with the 80s freestyle music pumping. The grand National or any black out turbo regal was the coolest ride you could roll up in back in 1987. Someone could drive up with a 30k BMW and the Grand National or in my case the WE4 would catch all the attention. I’ll never forget the days or cruising up and down 86 street in Brooklyn ny with my car back then. Life was soooo much better back then.
Omg I’m sorry I’m getting off the topic. Those bucket seats are cool but after 4 surgeries on my hips trying to keep me out of a wheelchair from injuring my hip slightly when the twin towers collapsed (I’m a retired nyc firefighter A lieutenant actually lol) I was walking around till January with a hairline pelvis fracture that I thought was just muscle pain. But long story short. The op’s video made me make the choice to buy a white turbo regal. So I’m gunna own 3 now. I don’t care what year it is. I’ll even take an 84-85 hot air and I’ll mod it with an 1987 ecu and ignition system and fabricate the lines needed for a front mount intercooler. But i would much rather have an 86-87 cold air one. I may sell the grand National to fund this car. But I will never part with my WE4. So wish me luck. Maybe by this time next year I’ll have found the right one. With me the body and frame is everything. And all the numbers have to match as well as the RPO trunk sticker has to be there. As long as the last 7 vin digits are located on the engine block, transmission, rear, and under the drivers side door punched into the body. I don’t care if the engine is knocking, or the transmission broke a band. Anything mechanical I’m ok with buying but the body and numbers have to be correct!!!!
Thanks for reading and In sorry for the ramble. These cars always bring back memories of a much better time in my life. I guess that’s why I love my WE4 so much. I actually met my wife in that car.
No No, "not at all" ... all the things you site example of (too ME), are a given BTW ... I PREPPED THESE NEW, AND HAVE A LONG HISTORY WITH THEM. I worked at a Buick Dealership to. I HOPE you find your "dream-car", I never have taken out this-one / nor have I driven it. I'll leave it sit, and in another 20 years get her back out. From the T's / to the GN's, Montes, and the Hurst Olds ... I love them all. :- )
Beautiful car! Excellent find and I've always loved the "Ts" in white. Congrats to you.
I had a 85 regal... not the t-type but its almost exactly the same as yours... white with burgundy interior...I bought it for 2,000 back in 95. I love all regals.....
BADASS !!
3006USMC Thanks 300 ! ;- )
Body by Fisher!
I've been in love with the cars from the very beginning. My 78 regal was my first, and my last will be a 85 GNX.
"NICE" !! You mean an 87" GNX ... : - )
@@natezemanek Your absolutely correct, just a mild slip. Hard to type with a broken finger.
@@shinhostergroup "sorry to hear you've been hurt Shin". ;- (
nice ...don't you love how people say they got one but no pic to back it up....
+lou4ny Hi ya Lou, I spose (back in the day) ... most "ALL" had either a Regal, or a M/C, or a "Cutlass" ... *They were as common as common gets, and in some examples, they STILL are.
Did YOU have one ?
Best ;- )
Very nice Tommy!! She is a Goddess that's for sure! Excellent find indeed! Thank you!!
Very nice car sir. Gotta love the whole Regal family from Buick!!
Marvin Santiago Thanks Marvin, I have an 80 "before black Regal" on here as well ...
"I agree about Regal's" !!
AH !!! "a sister" ?? Niccccccccce !!!
Beautiful car in orginal condition love it. I've owned a 87 GN and now are proud owner of a 87 GNX with 300 miles and paid a hefty price also for something classic but all good. I agree with original none of the aftermarket crap. Enjoy your new T
Anthony Macneil I remember the GNX's Tony, (we got 2 as we were the "Flagship" Dealer). I can only imagine what it's like too own one. Best, Tom ;- )
The 1986 Turbo Regal was called the "T-type", but in 1987 they shortened it to just Turbo "T". I own a 87 Turbo "T" and have the original dealer brochure which explains the option. Thanks for the nice video.
THAT I would like too see ! *Ever read Dennis Kirban's books sep ?
(best) ;- )
beautiful car!!!!!!!
Thanks so VERY much Sir !
Excellent car, truely a dream come true!!
Great video what a beauty , I myself enjoy an unmolested vehicle. I've been saving for 13 years and just 2 weeks ago purchased my dream car for my 37th bday 87 Buick grand national all original with provenance documents from 87 to 2017 I'm the second owner and it's a surreal experience for me to finally owned one .
Thanks Lynwood ! *THAT'S GREAT* !!! "I know that 'saving' period", and it makes things all-the-nicer upon FINALLY getting one. "We'd LOVE ta see it please" ? !!!
Any advice on how to maintain the engine . I've owned a few g bodies like monte Carlos ss and olds 442 but I'm new to the turbo engine. Any particular engine oil I should use and any particular way in how to have the oil change?
Thanks,
Danny
I'm not to savvy with loading up videos but I'll try to show my gn , but if you have an email I can send you some pics/video
@@chargercaddy Use "ZDDP" additive with your oil would be MY best advice Dan ... *go to "Kirbans Turbo Forum" (site) to learn more. After that: I use Mobil 1, and just use an AC Filter (OEM) *(and I'd saturate that same filter upon installing it).
I'm not very comfortable with my e-mail (leaving it here), and I'm sure you know why ... WITH ALL DUE RESPECT. If you'll look: I own several "T-Types", Hurst's, and GN's ... I also collect 1980 Regal's (and you'll see them HERE).
I'd love to "help" and I'm very excited for YOU, that said: sometime:, TRY an do a video and perhaps someone could lend you counsel as to up-loading same HERE.
Me ?, "I'm just an old Buick lover", and again: I "share" / and love ta see others amid that same 'want' and passion.
A PLEASURE Dan !!!. :- )

Thanks for you're input. I will check out the Kirbans forum . I actually found a book in the trunk of my GN of Kirbans guide to 86 and 87 Buick turbo regals , On the back of the book it has an image of a 1986 T-type being white and It says white was one of the most desirable colors with the blackout trim package , looks identical to your's . I was working out of town but now that I'm home I will take a look at the guide book . I'll be making a video of my Buick and get my oldest son to help me upload. I will let you know as soon as it's up .I've been enjoying you're vids good stuff as I am new to you're channel.
Beautiful!!!
THANK-YOU !! "It really was 4 me" !!! Best.
GOOD Advice !
Man this looks absolutely new!
always nice to see any Turbo Regal, all the power minus the Darth Vadar sinister presence
lol it's definitely T-Type. i was in high school in 1987 and i test drove several of these. unfortunately, insurance was too high for parents to actually buy the car for me. it's funny to me, i didn't even realize there was a debate about "T" vs "T-Type." honestly, the only reason to buy a T-Type then was because EVERYONE wanted a Grand National and this was a way to be different.
now that i am looking at this video i remember. the T-Type had OPTIONS!!!! nothing was really available on the GN's. T-Types could get you all the speed with style. These really were monster cars back then.

Yet the die-hards would argue the FACT too death ! Black cars are TOUGH to win with ! (keep nice). BUT: "all are beautiful".
Engine sounds great! Hard to believe that's a V-6
well congrats my friend!
enjoy it!
"Get outa here" !! (we'd) SURE LOVE too see it.
Pretty nice man!!! Love those cars
The best G-bodies ever made in history!
nice buick!!! sen one this year at the good guys car show in san diego. Took my 79 cutty supreme Gbody out for the weekend, That is a great looking car how did you manage to come across that thing in that condition?
Thanks so much ! ;- )
Thanks Deonte ! ; - )
Love it. If you ever want to sell. LMK Zman! : )
A K&N air filter will improve your gas mileage and help through you back in the seat and are rechargeable. I know that you said that you air not interested in, " that crap" ,but they are a buy one and clean it out every 5 to 10,000 miles recoil it and you are good to go until your next time of service. In other words, give one a try you just may agree !
I'll bet It would, but I'm an OEM guy, and to spoil the under-hood appearance wouldn't be worth it to me. I see no reason to "exploit" engine pressures with that stuff anyway. AND; "I love the 'kick" already". After that this car is put away ... (and I never drove it after this clip) ... Someday; I'll get it back out, (and maybe polish it up), and see what happens. All my best Mark. :- )
Very sharp car. The 78 and up were all G-Body cars as well.
Nope: 78-80 Regals, Century's and Regal Wagon's were "A" Bodied Cars. *(I got ripped on at the Dealer about that until they got out the actual Parts "Book"), and my God, He was RIGHT ! .... *ALL 78-80's WERE "A"'s.
Well we learn something new everyday! lol
Yeah Blackie, but it STILL won't "set" in my mind ! (I got so used ta calling it a "G").
Anyway ... :- )
Nice T! What’s the brown stuff on the door at 7:35?
Special "Amber-3M" undercoating (not the blk stuff).
Yeah, it must of been really awesome to see alot of these on the road when they were new. I'm young so I'll have to dream about it:/
It's a beautiful car. But I wish the interior would have been black. Or at least Gray. Other than that. She's pretty badass
you said you bought it from a dealer ship where at looking for one myself
That is a beautiful T man. I agree you should keep it stock. I've been down that modding path and created nothing but problems because I let the wrong person tune my car. But one mod you should really invest in is a torque strap. Because the power that our engines make can actually yank the engine upward off the mounts so violently that it rips a hole in the exhaust manifolds. It's only about $40.
S1KRR Thanks so much ! *I never heard of a "Torque Strap" ... Is this "insurance" ? (in case the motor mount were to fail) ? Best.
Yes it's a ratcheting strap that attaches from the alternator mounting bolt down to the crossmember. It's not the prettiest mod in the world but it is 1000% necessary especially if you are running stock exhaust manifolds. Honestly that car must have been babied before you got it because 75% of Gn's have an exhaust leak from the tear and it causes them to run lean and misfire. And almost all of them have been re welded in that same spot.
S1KRR IC ... I can't recall ever seeing that happen. Last I drove this, it was quite fast "as it is" ... (It was put away after this Video, and has been sitting ever ever since). "But I'll remember that" !
N8 Nate how’s your car doing? Figured I’d check up on it after 2 years. I’m sure you are enjoying it. I know I’m loving mine. Lol
OBJECTS IN MIRROR
ARE LOSING
thats what i saw at 7:35
ima king That you did !!
Thanks ! "Their are a few left out there". :- )
It is nice though. Thanks for keeping the memories alive. The cars from yesterday were the best. If you ever decide to sell it. Let me know. all right? Thanks.
one clean buick my friend.excellent.how many miles are on it?
17,500 miles He said. ; - )
Damn that's a beauty. I had the IDENTICAL TWIN to that car except it was a Limited with the 55/45 split bench seat with column shift. Same options including twilight sentinel, Astroroof, red pinstripe, power everything. Incredible! Here's the only video I have of it: czcams.com/video/3gRMktUaz50/video.html
Classic G-Body is right!
not sure about yours but i know my 84 t type regal has emblems all over it that say t type and mine is a one owner car and all stock car my mom bought it off show room floor then i bought it from her 10 years ago
+daniel norrell NICE !! *Yeah, the 87's said "T" , that was it. Read about it if your curious. Best
@@natezemanek In 1987, because it was the last year, you could order the turbo V6 in any regal. They would just get the "T". I test drove one after my '86 GN was stolen. Scared the shit out of the salesman when it jumped into the left lane on a dip.
I used to be employed AT A Dealership. (Maybe I miss-stated myself). Anyway, If you find one be sure too show it to us ! :- )
what is sprayed on the doors
She bad ass!!!
MOST CERTAINLY SIR !!!
;- )
Does the regal have the same features as the Grand National (Power seats, windows, locks)
Yeah ... "It depended on just what you ordered"... GN's were a "package", *but like everything, it also had options one could add in addition too what "came" in the GN Package (one could order in addition too).
Nate, how are you? Are you selling it? I have an old 1981 Buick Regal, but the salt and the snow have almost destroyed it. I want to keep the memory of these cars alive. Are you selling it? Can you let me know. Thank you.
Hi Robert, "No" ... "Maybe someday tho". *If you look they are still out there ! Your right, their BEAUTIFUL Machines ! .... I put both "T's"away and won't get them out for quite some time. Funny, "you'd see them everywhere" ... but at local shows / and what-not, ya NEVER see them. As time goes by they'll "ripen" and maybe then, they'll get the recognition they deserve ! Look on "Craigslist" Bob, *** IC several on there RIGHT NOW. Let me know if I can "weigh-in" on anything, (should you find one) OK ?
Best Tom / Nate
TommyZTrains Yeah, but yours is neat. You have two others? It hurts to lose a car that you loved so much. Mine was white too. I hope you think about selling it someday. Let me know, ok? I will be checking these videos always. They are great. How were you able to keep that paint so new? You dont drive it much right? So beautiful a car. American cars are the best. Thanks.

After this Video the cars were put away. (I never drive / drove them). I find / invest in the "nicer cars" and after their done I seem too just "look - on". :- )

"Amber colored" undercoat. (Get it at Paint Dealers) ... VERY nice stuff. :- )
Thanks much ! "I sure appr. it" : - )
what exhaust is on the car? That sounds so beefy and good is it stock?!
"Yeah it sure is" . (Converter and all).
I wonder if the other white one you had (ya sold it) was EVER painted ? I recall being ready to "keel over" I wanted that one so bad ! If I remember: That one had T-Tops ? "God I'd a killed too have it" !!! One day I'll find one EXACTLY like that ! (until then, "I'll keep this one")
Best, Tom ;- )
I found it on the web just "browsing" one day ... "Thanks" !

I own this actual car now
There's still a good many of them out there !

I like "Limited's" but don't like 60 / 40 seats and Column Shift ... were they all that way ? *("the limited's)"
No, I got leather buckets.Colum shift though. Im ok with thay.
PugilistRick
NOTHING WRONG with that !! :- ) (me too) !!!
I've purchased off of Dennis Kirban for over 20 years. Have seen some strange combos. 87 blue Limited with the cloth pillows and crank windows!! I think the only real option was tilt wheel. Also the rare outside chrome mirrors that you had to adjust by hand. I think it had just over 100,000 and bone stock. Can't remember if it had the half -padded top or not. This was probably late 90's or so...
What kind of plug wires on there? Are they stock?
I don't believe they are stock Roy ... back in "that-time"; people often replaced the wires as a ritual like from back in-the old-days (amid the ole carbon wires).
@@natezemanek yea each wire was numbered, each wire was for a specific cylinder. Lot of people don’t know that.
@@royc7683 "We Dealership guys do", *I can remember that each could be ordered separately too !
@@natezemanek that I didn’t know
Do u mind telling around how much u paid for this
She still nice tho..take care of her.not a lot on the road.
v8? or v6?
Hi Ulyssees, It's a small V-6 231 SFI Turbo.
What kind of rims are those, I just purchased my first car. 1984 (G Body) Buick Regal. I have the original spokes rims that are a pain to clean!
Kyler Man Their the "Factory Rims" ... (Others had plain ole Hub Caps, the "non-T's" had wire wheel covers) ...
I like the wire wheel covers, they usually come out to clean / seal them.
Best
Great video but the music sucks. Bad to the bone would be good, ZZ top!
whats up with the cartoon music lol
That's laurel & Hardy Music ;- ) "only the best" ...
Kind of sounds like your mocking those with modded cars I mean if you have a heart condition where speed can cause a problem I understand. They are all gn' s to me
Na, (not knockin it) ... IC so many of these all "ruined" (my opin. here) *with "Tach's" bored in the hood, "stickers" all over, chrome this and that ... I simply mean these cars fast enough as it IS. In the end "we all love our love our cars" ("modded" or not). Me personally ? such things disinterest me (speed). Best ;- )
I love your car buddy! I am building an 87 right now check out my videos if you want. I am very sad I don't have the 87 grill anymore it's my favorite!! I am wondering where you got your gauge pod from because that one looks very nice(on the pillar) some other ones look cheap. Keep this beauty clean and away from the elements!! But don't forget to stretch her legs!
Sorry 4 delay Daril, "G" Body Parts ... HOWEVER, If were I to do again I wouldn't. "The fit is absol. TERRIBLE" !
