Folk read this!! In order to connect to wireless you need to download the HP smart app, then on the printer you need to hold down the wireless button and the cancel button (X button) at the same time until the power light starts flashing!! This is how you put the printer into wireless set up mode and allows your computer or phone to find the printer and connect it to wireless. This completely useless video (showing you how to plug it in and load paper….) does not tell you this. Without doing this you will not be able to connect the printer to wireless. Hope this helps!!

@@marieolding3223 Thank you. because of your comment I was able to connect. I still don't know how to check if the printer is on the same wifi but when I moved the printer to another room, closer to the wifi box it finally connected!
After reading these comments, I feel relieved that I wasn't the only one having trouble. I will be returning this tomorrow. Trying to install this on my computer had me screaming and wanting to punch holes in my wall.

I was going to return mine as well until I noticed the return opportunity ends at 14 days. So I guess I'll limp along with this TOY for about a year with the constant help of the HP print and scan doctor, which is basically a trouble shooting app that I find myself using constantly. Next printer HP will not be a purchase candidate.

Installation was so easy to my Mac computer, just needed to download the app so I can access the WiFi and settings. Perfect to work from home for the unfinished tasks at the office (solo time), efficient, cute, modern and minimalist. Love it! 🥰 ❤️

Can we use it for t-shirt print ?
I'm having issues with it cutting the top part of the image I print off when printing from my phone. I'd usually just adjust the printing parameters but I cant find them anywhere in the settings on the phone. I just need to print a few shipping labels but i cant ship anything with even the smallest bit cut off. Advice?

What is the secret to getting those ink cartridges to stay in the machine? I've got them oriented the way shown in the video. I push up like the model does, and they don't click into place. They stay floppy. I feel like I"m going to break the machine getting those things into place!

Parts of 3 days trying to set this up with no support to be found from hp, unless a payment was made to them. No cord, no set up disc as promised in the box. Finally had to contact geek squad who said there was a problem with website (in turn driver download) and when you print DO NOT select the actually printer, but the driver instead. App never end up finding the printer, so don't use that. The machine prints fine, but will be returned on principal for awful customer service, which was something I ignored on tons of reviews and shouldn't have.

This printer is honestly such a nightmare. I have been trying for DAYS in every way imaginable to connect this damn printer to the network and nothing is working.
I’ve tried with both my Asus laptop (Windows 10) and my iPhone, nothing. I’ve tried it wireless and with a usb cord, nothing. I’ve printed 20 fucking pages of instruction that is outdated and in no way helpful. Keeps saying “printer status unknown” and “printer offline”. I’m over it.

The Deskjet 3700 does not support borderless printing according to the specification in the document here. Furthermore, a bottom margin of at least 0.5" or 12.7 mm is required to properly feed the paper.

Sorry but I don't get all those "great reviews" from buyers on Amazon I just bought this printer which I didn't realize it's 5 or 6 years old model and I was not able to connect it wi fi with the HP smart app and not even with the ethernet cable, on my new Chromebook, or Pixel 6 pro or my new Kindle fire tab. I don't know what do they smoke, but I want some!

@@HPSupport I'm sorry to say it was short lived because once I then tried to set the printer up to my mobile phone it has done something to the laptop connection.....I have spent 2 hours overall (not to mention the hours spent on other occasions) this morning trying to sort it. I have given up again. I should have just left it set to my laptop and all would've been well 😥

just got mine in the mail from my amazon order and there is no cd and no USB cord. Pain in the ass. I shouldnt have to go buy a cord but I will because its better than going through the bull shit process of getting the cord thats supposed to be in the box.
