I live in down Rogers. Rogers has population of approximately 68,000 people. You can experience art galleries, Daisy’s museum, weekend concerts, farmer ‘s market and much, much more……

There’s not any big gangs in Rogers, mostly unorganized teens. Springdale you’ll definitely find some tougher ones

Nash just p***y wannabe gangs. I haven't seen anything in Springdale that has concerned me any but I came from much worse places. I'm a transplant from bigger cities such as Philadelphia 5 years, San Diego 7 years, Los Angeles 10 years, Chicago 6 years, Houston 4 years, Dallas 4years, Memphis 3 years you get the trend.

You sure get to see more when you get off the main highways that all look the same. Too many chains anymore; few local businesses.

I wear my Ultra MAGA hat when I leave home. Living in the great state of Arkansas allows many to carry protection in the even any trouble approaches us. I know a lot of people that carry including little old ladies like me. That’s how our fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers fed their children and protected themselves, my father had a gun when he was a child. My late grandmother raised seven strong sons, healthy men of legal age were drafted in WW2 from the hills of Arkansas. Our cousin survived Pearl Harbor, he left his ship to mail my aunt, his Mother a letter. We welcome families here but gangs will not be tolerated. We’re already seeing cars being broken into and stolen. Catalytic converters are being stolen. It is what it is, people have to pay those that helped them cross the border, that’s why they steal. If they fail to pay they know they and or their family members at home in other countries can be killed. Anyone moving here is blessed to be able to thrive unlike they did in CA. If they stay on top of their children they can see them flourish with happy fulfilling lives unlike they had. We have a lot of transplants from India here in NW AR. Family and education is a priority for them coming from a third world nation. They raise their children to work hard in school, if you don’t believe me research the scholarships they’ve received. One thing we have seen with them as neighbors is they prosper, fit in and add to our community. We can all learn from them, I love how happy and friendly they are shopping and living babe ar them. We all need to push and promote a program to keep gangs and drugs out of NW AR, it can be done if we help the parents at schools, church and in your neighborhood.

It is so disappointing to see nice places ruined by gang activity. I agree with you, to the point where latinos fake not speaking spanish to other latinos ( california here).

I was born and raised in North Rogers where your at, it's a lot different when you go into the neighborhoods and downtown from pinnacle hills and their bright lights, iv seen shit get wicked, homies shoot and get shot, people jumped and stabbed even someone getting smoked in the face with a hatchet.., I was born in 97 back in 03 lake Atlanta was an amazing place to take your kids to feed ducks and fish, it was a smaller dim litted slow moving town, shit never really jumped off it was just normal people, you had small factions the older you get like wicked brown suspects and I ain't snitching anyone from the area knows wassup, viva brown pride, 805k, Southside devils, like many places the gangs grew up with the children and from each neighborhood they claimed what they wanted and loved to rumble at veterans park😂 shit seemed like a lifetime ago, we thought we were somebody selling dime bags and quarters at 14 and 15, once drugs really got introduced to the community you know many started selling, many of us lost many close friends to prison, the needle or pipe, and death...somehow I hope it hasn't gotten any worse, I haven't actually lived in Rogers since 2016, but iv been around, the town has grown up, they've torn down a lot of houses, neighborhoods and strip malls that had butcher shop, a local barber and small town jobs that supported the local economy, ever since the 2010s, a lot of downtown and other areas on the Southside have been gentrified, invested in while on the other side of Olrich street there's many failed projects, abandoned buildings and open lots, the actual people have been through a lot I believe, now you see only the rich people who come out from the hills and fishing competitor's. I think alot about what my grandpa would feel seeing the place change so much, he was born in 46 and came here in 1950, the way I understand it was always a pretty chill place until my generation came along, and people didn't take it seriously, or realize, or even comprehend it until we started having shootings on walnut street and olive street, Im not sure where it'll end with old Rogers, but I feel like I can definitely remember a time there when things were different, before harps replaced food town on 1st street, before they built the skate park and water park, back when you needed to go to the hospital you would go to st mercy on 13th and walnut, this town has a whole story that iv wondered would ever be noticed, it was insane growing up here, fun, terrifying, stressful and yet had the realest mfs who would go to war come outta 479, I wish many were still here. Rip shout out from the streets of rogers, to the boys in Benton county and the ones who are still alive today✌️💪🏽

It's ruined. The culture is lost. The lakes are trashed. The rivers are trashed. The pastures are trashed. The pretentious newcomers have ruined what Rogers was. It was a wonderful town.
