    Great video guys, in the mid 1970s in Montana winter, summer this was the best job I ever had untill the oil 🛢 prices dropped. 🇺🇸

    That's not old school, it's just the safest way to do it on a rig without an air hoist. Because you damn sure don't want to put a Collar in the mosehole with a Catline!

      My rig don’t even have a mouse hole 😂 we just got a pipe box, we pull the collars out with the cat line, we keep subs on top so the elevators can bite them

    En la vieja escuela hacíamos cosas a lo bestia, como no colocar collarín en los DC, usar la cadena, no dar el Torque adecuado en el sustituto, echar la grasa sin limpiar, etc, etc. No se mira el coste ni los riesgos. Sólo rápido, rápido...ahora los pozos son más complicados y profundos, cualquier falla puede ser catastrófica...y que decir de la seguridad.

      @@dabmaster9039 Started in the 1970ies Sedco 5 or 6 rigs just outside of town. And we dog collared every collar even jars if run if stuck. Old school would use dog collars not zip collars

      @@ammybj that looks like at 6 inch collar i drilled for 5 years no zip to them OR A CUT OUT you need drill collar slips and dog collars my boots got more experience then you my friend 25 years on them drill pipe have a box and pin welded on

    can someone explain to me what the spinner chain does and how its faster, the entire process is the same on my rig but without the chain and our connections are much faster. I'm on a telescopic double drilling rig and we don't have a top drive nor do we use a pipe spinner for making connections. The only difference between our connections and this video is that we don't spin chain. Also I'm pretty sure we go a lot faster.

      It does look flat. Of course Texas has alot of flats as well.
      Their Spanish language is why I say they from South America. Probably on a work visa. Or unfortunately cheap labor. Which isn't good risking one's life for peanuts. But I don't know they could very possibly be American citizens.
