Bro I do the same thing why when when u shouldn't you don't learn from it so I suggest to my opponent better lines or plays to help me get better for what Im going to see from better or strong opponents

Honestly 3 hours of pak playing at tournaments is how I survive some days. I always appreciate these and learn a lot from them since it’s hard for me to play in person tournaments regularly

How does Pak’s locals have players that ash aluber and spend 1k before learning to play the game. My locals read spreadsheets all day and only hand trap optimally 😂
New players get into the game with disposable income. Ask their buddies what's the best deck? They build it and start learning. Also could've easily borrowed the deck from a friend to learn how to play. I think when I got back into the game after a 10 year hiatus I spent like 500ish on branded during kash format.
@@Zero12710 that’s fair. The new players here buy structure decks and ask for help building their best version of it! It’s actually a pretty good group. The new people never join case tournaments or anything though

Same but I spent 250 on rikka (came back after leaving around nekroz format) then had zero success getting whooped at locals (kash was everywhere even bottom tables) so I built kash just in time for ban ariseheart. Then I moved on to purrely and infernobles and unchained after that ban it was fire kings structures all the way to pure snake and I hate the deck wish I never built it. Now playing 55 card branded and infernoid snake eyes just cuz
Floo held me down after Jan 1st ban til I had poplar and princess. Forgot that lol
After a few years of being away from yugioh I spent 1K on Kashtira when it went full power (Diablosis) and that deck held me down up till the Fire King structure deck released. People just got it like that and end up learning along the way by going to locals and playing the deck as much as they can irl
Pak is so good at helping people respectfully but also not mincing his words, thats what we get from the prodigy that he is

Yes that is correct. Since branded in red resolves and sanctifier activates during that window your opponent can’t respond

The spell branded lost says that opp can’t rapping to the summon oh his fusion cards or something like that, meaning if branded player has quick effects(branded n red/ sanctifire dragon) he can use them and opp pretty much cannot respond because it is bc within the summon window of his fusion monster. Hope that helped a little!

Question, it didn't affect the match, but at 27:17 why did mirrorjade not return in the end phase when S:P little Knight returned? It should return I believe since it was only temporarily banished. Also I realized after typing this that S:P here was an illegal summon anyway.
Edit: Nvm, I just realized he used the on summon effect of S:P to banish mirrorjade, not the temporary bounce. Sorry.

I can’t speak for Pak but if they let you go battle you swing over appolusa probably and then in Mp 2 you try to bait out the IP or hope harbinger with a spell and then just chain droplet to send the spell you activated plus the albaz to negate IP and hope harbinger.
That would stop them from getting flamberg to GY. And then since he has thrust, Cartesia and branded opening you just play from there
Quaeritis is so funny against VV, either you drop their attack to 0 and just beat over everything or you force the negate and float into something even more problematic

Branded vs Snake Eye is the most fun yugioh I’ve maybe ever played. But against random rogue stuff I keep finding myself getting mega cooked. I could watch Pak run this shit all day. Grinding to get on his level 😤

@@RobinsAssistant played against chain burn at a regional, didn’t draw my outs in a 46 card deck, played against Floo, Plants… some of the games were maybe winnable if I played better but those matchups feel so much harder than the snake eye matchups lol.

can someone explain on paks 1st turn why the field spell couldn't go off? its an if effect and it wasn't damage step yet, i know if it was a when effect it would miss timing
He’s not saying it can’t activate, he’s saying if he does activate the field spell it mean they cannot activate the “when” effect of apollosa he wanted to use to negate the Aluber effect. The when effect must respond directly to the opponents monster effect. If he used the field spell you can’t chain apollosa to it to negate aluber effect. He essentially chain blocks himself.

@@smithlead47 no no I’m saying the field spell can never be cl3 in this particular scenario. By choosing to activate the quick effect of Apo you are also choosing NOT to activate the triggered effect of the field spell.
Pak is turn player so his effect has to be cl1. Then his opponent has the option to activate the field spell as cl2 because it would meet the activation requirement to trigger.
However, if he chooses to use Apollosa in response to Aluber, the field spell has now passed its window to trigger.
Another good example if you’re playing branded would be:
- Turn player summons an extra deck monster to their field and activates it on summon effect.
- You are not the turn player and you have Quem on field with a legal target in GY and a mercourier in hand with an Albaz monster on field.
- Since they are turn player their monsters on summon effect is cl1.
- You can then choose to use the Quem effect since the opponent summoned from extra deck or you can choose to chain mercourier quick effect from hand to negate in direct response to the monsters effect.
- If you choose to use the mercourier, you just activated a spell speed 2 effect so any spell speed 1 effects cannot happen after that. If you choose to use Quem effect, you are no longer directly responding to the monster effect so it “misses timing”
@@Masonsayshello ok so overall to sum it up, that field spell "if" effect misses timing, and a trigger effect is spell speed 1 so cant be chained on top of that, but if it was a quick effect it would work. i needed some clarification on the whole missing window timing for that effect since i thought "if" effects always happen no matter what as long as condition is met and dont miss timing compared to when effects
@@smithlead47 yeah exactly it’s technically not that the “if” effect misses timing (that’s a whole other thing) it’s that the effects are optional so when you have two “if” effects that can trigger at the same time you can activate them in whatever order you choose but since one of the effects you are using is a “when” effect AND it’s quick effect, the only effects that can be chained to that when effect have to be quick effects as well.
It’s all pretty dumb and it gets way more confusing with older cards that are “when” but not quick effects. In those cases “when” effects mis timing simply because the opponent might chain block with effects that do not meet the trigger requirements for your when effect. That’s why in master duel you will sometimes get that prompt that “you missed timing” lol

5:40 Wait what? Why can't the chain be CL1 Aluber, CL 2 Apo, CL 3 Field spell?
Field spell is a an optional trigger effect, meaning he can chose to activate it but if he does it has to be cl2. If the field spell is cl2 then appolusa no longer has an opportunity to chain to the activated monster effect.
If they choose to use appolusa quick effect in direct response to Aluber effect they are choosing also to not activate the trigger of the field spell.
Essentially the field spell as cl2 would chain block appolusa from negating aluber and if they choose to use apollosa quick effect (Apollusa is not a trigger effect it’s an optional quick effect when the activation conditions are met) then they are choosing to leave the activation window of the field spell since apollusa is activating a quick effect. If the field spell was a quick effect then there would be no issue chaining it to apollusa.

Could be your area, really dry or really humid areas will bend the cards. Just try to keep them in cool tempatures like in your box then bag a lot of the time.

Nah not at resolution of branded red. Pak activated sanctifier on the summon of sanctifier. He could have definitely chained nib on resolution of granguignol sending puppet or upon the activation of branded in red. But once the branded in red resolves as cl1 the summon window is protected.
why does quartes stay banished from zealantis game 2
It wasn’t properly summoned so it cannot be special summoned back from banish off Zealantis since it was summoned off granguinol

Sometimes its nice to make selene since its a spellcaster or to make Dharc since its a Dark monster. Or to get poplar to the grave so it can bring itself back to the backrow.. many reasons haha
