Hi all, we have a mothership Marine narrowboat, and I’m very happy with it. We to turn off the inverter at night and often when we’re cruising. I find with the fridge, if you keep at least six bottles of wine in there, it stays pretty cool all night! We also have an icemaking machine😂 We bought the boat secondhand two years ago with 3/4 of a tank of diesel, and still have a quarter of a tank left. If you’re only using it for long weekends, I don’t think you ever need to run the generator .

Tim whats is the make of the electric motor if I can be so bold ? and how many and what watts rating are the solar panels?

Can you cross the channel with this narrowboat?
In theory you could - but it's a lot safer to put the boat on a truck and do it that way. Tim
