Just bought a 2023 new Kawasaki 310LX Ultra. I appreciate your information on the Kawasaki Jet ski. So far 8 hours in 3 days and we love it! Handle like a dream on our lake with all those Wake Boats.

How old are you? I’m 67 and on my sea doo 155 wake the ski is killing my back. Hoping the deep "V” hull on Kawasaki will solve that rough ride. Your opinion/?

Nice. I used to waterski/kneeboard/wakeboard growing up but now if my family does any tow sport it’s the tube.
Also, I officially have a date of when I’m putting my ski in the water for the first time this year: April 20th. Why not now? Because working OT to catch my company up (I love my job but we’re behind so gotta work weekends) and then I’m going to Arkansas first weekend of April to see the solar eclipse with my family. Then the next weekend I have an out of town wedding. So yeah my schedule is packed until the April 20

Hey JD, remember that bolt on my ski that came cross threaded from the factory I found during the 1st 25 hour maintenance? Well, it finally let go and won't hold torque. I really hope the person that did that when they built the engine has a really BAD week!!! I ordered a new exhaust manifold ($780) today and hope it arrives soon. What a pain it was to remove it. Hope the install goes better (it wont🤣). Wake boarding looks fun! Nice way to spend the day!

@@JDsWaterWorld I tried that. Made a special jig but as you know there was no room to work with it on the ski. In hindsight, I should have just removed it and tried it off the ski. It was off about 1mm but that was enough to not allow it to thread properly and not bind. Oh well, kind of my luck!🤣 I hope the part get's here soon though. I probably should have had the fight with Kawasaki as soon as I discovered it and they "might" have covered the cost of the part. Oh well, At least it will be factory new when it's back together!😃
That really sucks this happened to you- wish I had some sort of power to get them to compensate you for the part. Did you buy the new part from a dealer? Maybe that dealer will be able to file a claim on the old manifold on your behalf? New parts all have a 12 month warranty..wait a few months and then say the manifold failed? You’re like me- would rather just do it myself than dick around with the stealership
Thanks JD. I bought it from Partzilla. The dealership here doesn't give a crap. Like you said, STEALership. They wanted almost 300 more for the parts. Yep, just do it myself and fix what they screwed up. At least I know it's done right.

lol dam. I’ve been talking about and wanting to try this SINCE I FIRST Got my ski. Couldn’t ever get any real answers on how possible it. Or find anyone with a video doing it. We FL people sure seem to all think alike
Yeah tows like a champ! Make sure you’re in low power mode though or else you’ll get your arms ripped off…
I wish the Kawi cruise control was GPS speed based rather than RPM based so that when you’re towing a wake board, it would hold the speed precisely.
2022+ the speed is GPS based but also RPM locked in cruise control between a fixed range. What makes you think it’s not GPS based? My impression is that it holds pretty steady, but is not dynamic, so it will not change speed or rpm on its own without rider input for safety reasons
I bought the 22’ 310 LX-S Kawasaki when it came out, thinking it would be the perfect personal watercraft for water skiing, but the speed would vary by about 3 miles an hour or more under hard pulls. So the GPS speed is displayed on the screen, but the RPMs are what the cruise control uses. I have had a couple of the Sea-Doo wake pros, including a 2023 and they are GPS for the cruise control and hold a much more accurate speed. I would rather own the Kawasaki because I think their quality is better and I believe their hulls are much more durable than Yamaha or Sea-Doo. Plus it has a rearview camera, to see the water skier.
The seadoos must have dynamic cruise control then that would adjust the throttle to maintain certain speed- just speculating.
Yes but it is GPS speed linked. Just like a slalom ski boat (Malibu, Mastercraft etc) which has a similar system. BTW - Love your content, keep it going!
That is true on the STX models also. Not GPS speed so cruise is not a big help for towing.
Do you really need speakers on your jetski ?
Need, no, but many people like them!
@@JDsWaterWorld just considering getting the lx-s over the lx because is on sale at my local dealer. I like the speakers but dont know how realisticly i will use them.
I originally was thrilled that kawasaki sells a ski without speakers. Whereas the other brands you have to get speakers on pretty much every model. I added aftermarket speakers from PWC brackets, they are not currently on my ski though.
@@JDsWaterWorld I did my research and kawi came out on top. Back in the day i had 2 new seadoos and they spent more time at the dealer than the water. My brother in law has the 2021 fx svho but that nano cell plastic is horrible. The thing rattles like its going to break. Overall kawi has the speed and reliability that i need. The front lights and the speakers are a plus. Our dream is to do the bimini crossing.. maybe one day you can join ! Thanks for all your videos ..Cheers !
