How to cut a mermaid skirt with tail.

This is a video for an intermediate sewer wondering why their mermaid gowns don't turn out as those of the celebrities. If you are a beginner , you might find it a little confusing because i skipped some parts just so i could get to where i was headed. But leave me a comment if you would like a detailed tutorial on how to cut and stitch this gown. Thank you.

Dear after you cut the front part just place it on the left over fabric making sure the bigger part of the fabric is infront of the front part you've cut. That will be your center back, measure your zipper allowance of 2" but from the knee side shape it down to the end point of the big part you left . If you have more fabric left you can join it to the back again from the knee side and shape it down. You might also need to watch the video a few more times to understand. But i hope this explanation helps.
