- Aquascape Tutorial: ‘Clarity’ (How To: Full Step By Step Guide, Planted Nano Aquarium)
Welcome to this weeks build video. I really wanted to make a simple aquascape that allows me to view and enjoy my shrimp, but still look stylish. I think I achieved this with the aquarium/aquascape I've created :)

Love this setup and all the vids I stay up every night so I can watch your vids I was wondering when you were gonna trim or redo a scape with the wood good job bro
@@williampatton632 thanks a lot william
The filter is currently unavailable.
New subscriber and I have a few questions please. Do the tanks with plants have to be cleaned and how? Also if you want to put a fish in, how would you clean their waste? 💕
@@aabi777 hi, I'm not sure what your asking. The tanks have water changes and glass cleaned like any other aquarium. The water changes such out any waste that hasn't settled into the soil/sand. Any that has will be used as food by the plants.
I did it md... stayed up and I’m first!
To all the Americans who are watching this at 1 am... hello
haha. How did you even know I was posting Toby??
Well you post every other day from 11-2am (in the us) so I just leave my subscription box open for whenever you post.
*wow that sounded really excessive but catching one of your videos early has been a goal since I first started watching lol*
@@TobyCreates nailed it!
Lol. It sure is one am. Hi!
@@HalenBowlerThePerson hi Halen :)
You're one my biggest inspiration for aquascaping. Thank you .
Anybody else get shivers going down their spine when he was scooping the substrate out?
Nonetheless outstanding tank! Thank you for being a great inspiration to the community🙏🏽
scratch that tank up!
Ha, yeah. Almost as bad as the school chalk board..... 😱
do you know what we should do with the old substrate? Should we throw it in the backyard or we can actually reuse the substrate?
@@wiwitratnasari6714 late but he reuses the substrate in current videos, he even puts it in mesh bags now to make it easier to reuse
i think this is the best track soundtrack while watching. spot on mood
I really love this beautiful yet simple aquascape for a nano tank. Great idea to use only plants that grow on the decor and not in the substrate. Keeping the substrate to a bare minimum really helps give you the most water volume possible out of such a small tank. Amazing job, as usual!
I like how this nano talk has been setup! 😍
Loving those mininal style.
yeah same :)
The Nana Petite 🤭
Crystal shrimps gives those minimal vibe . 🦐
1:16 MD is becoming systematic, found the net huhhhh🤣🤣
I spent 20 mins trying to find it for that 2 second shot....
This is it. This is the tank I will set up as my first aqua scape. Thanks for the inspiration. Excited for no substrate!!!
How calm and pleasant! Probably one of my favorite tanks, ever! I will say, i would not have been able to stop where you did! I've gone moss crazy, and would have added at least 4 mosses around the base- for the shrimplets of ccourse!!!
The more I look at this gorgeous tank, the more I love it!!!!!
I love this! I used to watch videos like this before I started my first tank and then all the sudden have three tanks and a cherry red shrimp I think I want to rescape my shrimp tank now. Nothing better than clean and easy
I simply love your simplicity and love for the hobby I have never seen such a simple way of doing Aquascape
Perfect editing, music and format. And beautiful aquascape, as always
I swear when something already looked good you tend to make it better. 👍
Looks fantastic! Love the little babies. Great to see the goldfish swimming in the background too.
Love the way you tell us tank dimensions and lighting etc ..I wish more people did that , gives us a better insight into what we’re actually looking at ..Nice one , thanks .
Wow this scape is absolutely amazing! Great job MD!
thank you :)
I love all of your builds. They all look amazing!!
This is such a beautiful scape! Good job MD!
Just finished watching .. I love how the scape looks especially because of how lush that fern is . Great work 👍
thank you :)
this tank is really beautiful, love it
A pleasure to watch! Thanks MD
This is so beautiful
cheers
Love it! I love the simple modern design
cheers ryan
After a big episode of bad MH and letting my tank get disgusting; your videos have restarted my love for the fish hobby and im now beginning to explore aquascaping... my dad used to breed guppies and goldfish when he was my age but the style of the hobby was so different then so he's learning now too, thankyou for giving us this 🥰
Each day I'm fall in love with your setup 😍
Absolutely love this md so simple but so beautiful and I love the crystal reds themself look stunning 👌😍
Beautiful video!!! 💚💚💚
Absolutely stunning as always…⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love it. Ok time to change my tank soon 😍
Absolutely beautiful shrimp tank!
MD I had been really wanting to do a tree & path aquascape, but finding a proper aquascape store I realised it’s probably way more cost to start with as I was only going to put in shrimp & a batta. But this looks so much easier & I love the aesthetic! I have health issues holding me back right now but I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! I’m going to do it as soon as I can. Thank you so much for your videos..
Just a note... for me personally I love the journey, wasted my thing to show what your doing completely in the intro... hope you don’t mind me saying so.
I feel the need to rescape my 2.5 gallon tank after watching this. Thanks MD!!
So simple, yet so amazing 👏
thank you :)
This was a fun build MD!! Happy Saturday to you!!👍🐟🦐🌿🌱
Another perfect simple Scape md
Inspired me to do my own shrimp tank
I love simple and clean aquarium setup! thanks for the tip, love the video!
no probs :)
Love to see some more content on shrimp, personally a fan of shrimps, especially the crystal varieties. Love the scape, keep it up!
Nice choice of only adding the cr shrimp!
What a beautiful tank. I love simplicity as well. The white sand is beautiful but from my experience it stays white for about a second.
Looks great
This is looking awesome!! Thank you!!
That video, with a glass of wine and that music put me away! :)
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing! - Little Bobby
Little tip from my experience with shrimp (CRS) moss is the key for breeding and for the baby's to hide in and looks amazing 🤗😊❤
oh my goodness, Don't know why but have only just found your channel, brilliant. Enjoyed catching up on past ones and subscribed to future ones. Really helpful to this fairly new fish keeper. Thank you and apologies for my late arrival!!!
Nice... love it, much betta i think good eye on this one man, smile and nice. Happy happy shrimp
Love it it's a real clean look 👍
cheers catherine. Glad you like.
really like the scape! I've got a 2 ft tank I'm thinking of starting today, some nice inspiration here.
Another great video mate keep up the great work
You really inspired me to add some blue velvet shrimp to my small aquarium! I really enjoy them more than the fish!
Love your captive audience in the background...
Tropica Plants are the absolute best! I get them ordered from Denmark. Super high quality. Of all the plants J ever bought for the last 5 years. Probably 80% Tropica.
Great Tutorial awesome job and very informative
cheers buddy :)
Second time watching cuz I have new shrimp and I think this is my favorite scape of all to be able to have a slice of nature and still see all the shrimp.
👍❤👍
So easy so clean. I always do too much in my tanks. Have to try that minimalistic method😀
Excellent slo mo sand
Awesome vid md looking for to setting up a nano tank of my own.
Always watching your videos... from philippine.. hope some day i can visit your aquarium paradise😁
Reminds me of the old videos 🤣😊 Brilliant scape! Love ur vids! Keep em coming pls!

Fantastic MD! The shrimp tank looks amazing and I'm sure the shrimps love to stay there!
:-)
Love your little shop in the garden ;-) I want one too. But it will probably be a little difficult for me - I live in an apartment. Hahahaha! ;-)
Cheers mate!

12:02 good choise!! 😍😍
Yooo always love your contents MD, and because watching all your videos, i decided to start my first aquascape now, wish me luck 🙈🙈
love from indonesia
good luck Leo :)
I went to a fish store yesterday and overheard two people talking about plants.. one of them mentioned Bucephalandra. Before I could even think about it, i heard myself going „BUcephalandra“.. I definitely watch too many of your videos :D
hahaha. I still do it all the time. Held off on this video...actually, i think i edited it out by mistake lol.
MD Fish Tanks haha :D nice „inside joke“ anyway, I was just glad nobody noticed it ;)
I‘m so sad i missed it 😂 i shouldn’t have left you alone but i was too busy watching all the beautiful fish.
I really want to do a shrimp tank or even have shrimp in my main tank set up hat off to you looks top spec
Like it Very Much...!! Thanxs
Succes Bosque ❤❤❤❤❤👍👍
Great👍👍👍
Loving that background with curious oranchu noses watching you scape 😜
Really enjoyed this one, sure you'll have a tank full of Crystal Reds soon🦐🦐👍👍
Who knew watching sand be poured in slow motion was so satisfying?
The channel is so great
thanks :)
Mini hang on backs are one of the things that keep me going in life. I don't know where to get any, but I'll never give up

Are you from the US? If so I know a few mini ones on Amazon that I love that I can link to you
Toby Creates no he’s from england.
Hi MD! Gorgeous tank! I’m looking to set up a crystal red shrimp tank of my own and this has really inspired me. Just curious on what the water parameters you keep them in? I have soft water too here where I live in Canada.
Very nice and supper.
:)
That slow mo sand pour 😍 Such a simple scape but so effective, looks absolutely beautiful 👌🏼
Did you put the sponge over the inlet to stop baby shrimp getting sucked up?
Nice
Bit late but hello Md 👋 nice tank love it. I hope I can get some fish in the future
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........... How cute do the baby shrimp look with their parents! Another brilliant, stunning, clean and on the minimalist side of your normal scapes but very much a piece of Art to be proud of.
I'm wanting to grow my own plant's for my tank, mainly the back-ground and mid-ground varieties. I can only find the carpeting species in seed form. Is there somewhere that specialises in seed for aquariums?
Really enjoyed the video as always, take care my friend 👍😷👍
Would love to see feeding fresh foods to these guys! Video idea perhaps?
I love this tank, and would DIE for that clump of Java Fern. 😍 My Javas look a little rag-tag at the moment.
My daughter has a 5 gallon tank (Marineland Portrait) and I think she'd like to go all shrimp. Would a taller tank like that be ok? I think it would be fine since shrimp have no problem getting around and could go up onto a nice centerpiece scape.
Please one day come to Malaysia and make ur aquascape exhibition. We hv lot aquascape hobbyist here..
Not first - very good job 👍👍
but still early :)
I really enjoy watching your videos & a scape like this would be ideal for what I want to do with keeping shrimp, a quick question. I’ve been looking into keeping caradina shrimp (which is what you have in this tank) & been told that you need an active substrate to reduce your ph level. You don’t have any in your tank so wondering what your parameters are ph/GH/KH & what TDS are you keeping them in. Thanks.
greetings from Mexico
i just clicked subscribed when you whispered it. guess it worked! anyway, i already enjoyed a few videos.
Your discus tank holy water 🏺that's it man, your secret of success 😇
That’s something I wanted to do for years
go for it :)
Floor Gang ahoooo
for life!!!
Good and very easy and nice setup
make moss wall if you like......... In back side of scape........ God job
Hey MD, I’ve just started my own very small shrimp tank, I will only be putting Red Cherry Shrimps in there. I do love the way crystal reds look also, do they need a heater?
i can’t wait to make a tank when i move out!
can you make a nano now??
MD Fish Tanks i wish!
Now that you've set up more shrimp tanks and had time to learn what's best, would you still recommend this HOB filter for a shrimp tank? If you do could you kindly provide an updated link (UK) as the one provided is invalid now
Imagine if he put black/grey gravel in the tank, they would pop even more!
Hi MD how often do you do water changes on a small tank like this and how much
