Travel Man should be renamed “An Introvert Abroad”.
are you ok?
Merz Bois Holy shit yes, and they should call it “an idiot abroad”! Oh wait, that sounds familiar.
Exactly! He doesn't get out much!!!
The second Pilki
Accurate
The Paul Rudd episode was effectively combining an American national treasure with a British national treasure and allowing them to wander around together
And then the Lena Dunham one was the exact opposite.
Well Paul Rudd's entire family is from the UK so it works good
@@austinhuber3131 I hate that rotten bitch.
@@austinhuber3131 I was just about to leave this same comment!
*English national treasure!
"...then it becomes technically edible."
What I always want to see on a menu.
Glad I wasn't the only one to hear that
And
'Why won't it kill me?'
'Um, I'm not really sure'
Is just what you want to hear from the serving staff :P
"Tubes are opening in me that have been closed since the nineties"
-Richard Ayoade
Paul Rudd was a great guest, he had such good chemistry with Richard.
Paul Rudd is a national treasure.
Ant-Man has good chemistry with anybody.
Nice picture ;)
They should make a movie or something
His confusion at the BK sauna was gold.
I just realised i want Richard Ayoade and Paul Rudd to do everything together
“You won’t get your gelato if you don’t eat your stomach.”
* completely deadpan expression throughout *
"Both those things are awful."
Those are two awful things.
Golden moment
@@smaakjeks I come back periodically just to watch this first bit.
"I think any food that requires you to be drunk should be re-assessed." So damn funny!
So bizarre! I read that as he said it! Bloody good timing
1:08
75 proof alcohol, £5 per shot, and she drinks it straight from the bottle. This is the kind of woman I need to be going on dates with.
Drinking that kind of thing from the bottle is normal though... Right?
Wherever I saw Spaced for the first time I'd knew she's a keeper
Didn't he spit the shark out in to her glass
British women will out drink most men, then take a piss in the street. Pure class
If she drinks absinthe straight from the bottle there’s no chance you’ll be able to get her drunk enough to sleep with you
"It's the antithesis of good."
He is funny. His teaching stories are hilarious.
I am Turkish and that soup is too Turkish even to me.
@Mike's Big Mouth tripe when cleaned properly and then cooked properly is delicious lol
@@timmabbb no its not xD
Way late comment, but I’m American and I love tripe? idk it’s so good!
@Mike's Big Mouth yup, same thing. Menudo
You are just an Anatolian or Greek speaking Turkish
Watching Paul Rudd fight his natural state of being the nicest guy was hilarious.
"Like a normal leaf that I'd eat if I was lost in the park". Hahaha I love Richard.
Still crying... "It's offering a lot of resistance". That's too good. He sure has mastered the language.
"It's offering a lot resistance." Not something I wish hear during an examination of a food.
"Sorry, I've got a bit of frontal lobe stuck between my teeth."
“No, it’s the antithesis of good.” I love that line
"Both those things are awful"
I dont know what you expected from fermented shark and strong potato alcohol
Hahahaha "That face tells me you've made the wrong decision"
"This is basically just an autopsy!" hahahahaha
As an Italian, I swear that talking Richard saying “Grazie” and “Gelato” with that British accent made my day
Good grief Paul Rudd is a beautiful specimen
I think the exact opposite. His face makes me turn away.
I could be happy just watching him read the phone book, he is so beautiful to me.
and he doesn't age
10:24. he actually looked like he had transformed into the goat he was eating.
" but before we can invoke logic, we're knawing on nettles"
I swear Richard has the best deadpan humour and wit i've ever heard hahaha
"....it's fine"
What a stoic!
“Yris marlmilat”
“What’s that”
“Yris marl mi lat”
Rejwana Ahmed My response being “Oh yris marl mi lat, of course. Mmmm... 🙄”
The second part might be marmilade?
@@PolarBear-rc4ks it was marmalade
@@PolarBear-rc4ks iris = toffee, marmelad = marmalade
The Russian restaurant where they're eating is called 'Petrovich' in central Moscow and its a nostalgia-themed restautrant with classic workingman's fare and furnishings from a re-imagined Soviet era. The items they are eating are still pretty common dishes.
I love horseradish and mustard and I think it would help with that lard plate in a way that makes it tolerable....not sure that's what they want though.
The shuba is brilliant! I don't understand people who don't love it.
that's an upsetting culture you've got there
And they're bloody delicious, the blonde fucker is offensive and acting up for the camera.
@@geetamplify Anything soviet is upsetting. I much prefer our imperial heritage.
"Throat full of offal" is one mighty sentence to close out on
Ah Richard, your politeness in the face of edible adversity is very entertaining. I'm located in the US, hard to find full episodes.
I don't know if it's possible, but if you can use a VPN to reroute your connection to the uk, you could watch the episodes on channel 4 demand. I assume it's on there anyway, mostly everything he does is on channel 4.
Someone will have uploaded them on CZcams.
pirate bay broski
They have them on Hulu.
@@FrauleinDaniels WHAAAT?!?! I haven't seen anything on Netflix or Amazon or Hulu....sheesh.
My all time favorite bit: "Lights on, it's become too Turkish"
Wow, Richard is really brave when it comes to tasting new food.
"My personal favourite stomach, the much maligned 4th"
DOES RICHARD NOT AGE?!
And why does Paul Rudd look Ben Affleck?!!!
He looks so much better than Ben Affkeck
Black don't crack
same uncles, different sisters
"It's fine." It was clearly NOT fine!
Bye Bjork
PiousMoltar I thought that’s what she said 😁
Hákarl is something most Icelanders never eat. It is better than starving - that is all I can say about it. He/they should have tried kjötsúpa, Hangikjöt, Lambakjöt or ýsa; (boiled or fried haddock),with potatoes and smjöri(butter).
They could have tried a lot of good food icelandic people eat daily... or seldom like Sviðakjammar that actually are eatable.
As for Brennivín... no-one drinks that "straight" you fill the glass with kók i.e. Coca-Cola or some other type of soda.
I'll fill your glass with kok in a minute
So you are saying that chick just showed up an entire nation by drinking from the bottle? Powerful she is
The whole segment with the Turkish soup is still hilarious, and I've seen it at least a dozen times!
Turkish soup and the fondue key party bit with frank skinner are my favorites
Me too
Paul Rudd: Computer, load up TRAVEL MAN please
Great job 👍🏼
That stinging nettle really kicked up the 4d3d3d3
I love all of you for this mini thread
i think you have to be Nordic to enjoy salted liquorice, that's why Richard liked it
is he nordic?
@@smileyShiiZniTZ his mom is from Norway
We love it in the Netherlands too, but I do know we used to have trade routes to Nordic ports (looooong ago), so maybe we got it from Scandinavia
It's always good fun to bring it with you and give to new friends :)
My girlfriend hates liquorice (the normal kind) but I love it. So she got me some from Flying Tiger (Danish shop) back when neither of us knew salted liquorice was a thing, and she didn't understand why I found that disgusting sweet disgusting but liked the other disgusting sweet.
4:44 he can't look her in the eyes when he says "she's missing out on this meaty goodness" I'm dying 🤣🤣🤣
... how the hell have I never heard of this show? This is great
It really is.
The Adam Hills and Stephen Mangan ones make me die laughing every time!
These sharks can live to be 500 years old, just to end up as a "delicacy"
Magnus Ericsson They’ve had a good run by that point
humans can be truly barbaric. imagine if people made a practice of hunting and killing humans... and cooking as a delicacy.
@@rachelw821 You can try it for yourself, if you find a restaurant serving 'long pork'
On nettles, i have never eaten it raw but in soup its like a kind of spinach.(and if you roll or simply stroke the spines with your palm or something you won't get stung while its raw)
Quite good and very nutritious.
I wish someone would make that gif.
The Greg Davies episode was such a gem.
I'd watch it again and I've already seen it 4 times 🤣
They make a hilarious duo.
Lets see if my over-stimulated brain can absorb ultra-modern Shakespearean comedy. I think from now on I have to say, "Woah, now that is too Turkish!!"
Richard Ayoade terms to live by: "Why won't this kill me?" "I had to go through that like a jackal." "That's going to end up a horrible gift." "Lights on, it's become too Turkish". "I think any food that requires you to be drunk should be reassessed." "That is not how you get Michelin stars." "That face tells me you made the wrong decision." "It looks like a normal leaf I would eat if I was lost in a park." "This Watership Down is sanctified with apple schnapps..."
Richard, you are like a desert of humor, so dry but gorgeous! Love these!
"That face tells me you made the wrong decision". - lol.
Seeing Richard eat food I encounter on a regular basis gives me life for no apparent reason
i like that richard mostly leaves it to his guests to try the awful food lol
Paul Rudd AND Richard Ayoade??!! The world has never been more blessed ❤❤
“That’s too Turkish” is definitely my new catchphrase! CancelledT has been canceledT!
I was praying to finish the video without seeing any Turkish ones here but then I saw İşkembe Çorbası and was like... fck it's ok you're right, they're absolutely right hahahahah
11:33 I love this moment of simultaneous contemplation and acceptance.
The very fact that you did this with Lena Dunham complaining about black pudding/blood sausage has turned my stomach. Black pudding can be gorgeous! One of my favourite dishes.
I would have rather eaten anything show in this video than spend 2 minutes talking with Lena Dunham. She is insufferable and terribly unfunny.
Now, I need to go find this show somewhere. These clips are hilarious.
«This is basically an autopsy»....hahaha!
This is a great show and the different guest each episode make it great each and every episode
Glad you're back!!!!!
Well, we do use the young stinging nettles in a Easter stuffing. But they're young and we blanch them first :D
Erm, first time I hear of this show! I must have it all, please and thank you!!
Its Like the cast of Taskmaster wandered on here
“I may just look at them” 😂😂
Richard chews with intention! 🤣🤣🤣
4:56 a fly deffo flew out of that bag
fun show! loved the big lady saving room for ice and eating a salad...in italy...eat proper!
Paul Rudd❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍
Salted liquorice 😍😍😍😍😍
Is that what they were eating when they had the sweets? I love salted licorice!
@@cijmo Yes.
Us Finns love that stuff=salmiakki❤️
Richard is a trooper i must say.
Ooo I found a little gift in there 😂😂
“I’m not paying” 😂
richard and paul , two men that don’t ever age
This video is a "voyage of discovery"
"summoned forth..." - the delicious details in well spoken language...is addicting.
I legitimately perished at the first video alone LOL! Currently typing from heaven...there's wifi!
LOL 4:56 the fly buzzing around that disgusting italian sandwich
I'm sure I threw up in my own mouth about 6 times watching that 🤢🤮
“Tubes are opening in me that have been closed since the 90s.”
That’s what happens when you sit on the steps that were the music video filming location for Darude Sandstorm.
I quite like herring under a fur coat...gotta get all the layers
I loved this
Tripe can be amazeballs. Menudo is one of my favorite comfort foods.
*LIGHTS ON, IT'S BECOME TOO TURKISH* This is my new theme line
Why am I just finding out about this?! I'm dying 😂😂
I want to make our videos as funny and sarcastic as these. I love this
0:34 Lmao the poor waitress
' herring under a fur coat' hahhaa
I would love to see Richard and Gorden Ramsey review food 😂
@@bamberlamb6512 Kinky.
@@bamberlamb6512 I read this as bounced on dick😂
4:40 that's the indoor market in Florence if you guys are curious. The sandwich that he eats is actually reallly really good!
Stephen's Magans face while eating HAHAHA
I might just ask for the salad!!😂😂😂😂😂
I love brains...especially goat brains. One of the best dishes I've ever had was curried goat brain over fragrant basmati rice with caramelized onions and tamarind syrup. Also, I eat menudo about 6 times a year (Mexican tripe soup). I love organ meats...aside from chicken gizzards which have the texture of intertubes and almost no flavor...and I've tried them 4 different ways with the same result.
I loved this show! Brilliant and Richard is incredible 🙌🏻 all hail Dickie
"Lights on. It's become too Turkish" LMAO
After eating Jessica's face morphed through every expression possible in seconds.
Damned fine video.
Would love to go out for dinner with Richard! he's my kind of man \o/ nothing better than trying new things.. even if it tastes like trashbag bottom water xD
Ayoade has a solid pokerface for sure xD
I had a go at that, like a jackal! 🤣😂🤣
I've been to restaurants where "it becomes technically edible" is in the description of half the menu
That 'space food' had every appearance of being expired - it should be a paste, not chunks that pop out of the tube in fits and starts.
