Proto-Germanic is the reconstructed ancestor of the Germanic branch of the Indo-European language family. Spoken around the mid-1st millennium BCE, it is the common predecessor of languages such as English, German, Dutch, Swedish, and others. While Proto-Germanic was never recorded in written form, linguists have reconstructed aspects of the language through comparative analysis of its descendant languages and by identifying common features and patterns.
Proto-Germanic likely featured a rich inflectional morphology, including a system of noun cases, verb conjugations, and strong and weak verb classes. The phonological system included features such as the "Grimm's Law" sound changes, which distinguish Germanic languages from other Indo-European languages.
This language underwent various sound changes and grammatical simplifications over time, eventually evolving into different regional dialects that became the early Germanic languages known from historical records.

Naja gut, da haste ans Ópalan aber noch bissi was zusätzlich angedichtet.
Stumpf runter gebrochen steht's (rein als Symbol) für Erbe und Besitz im Sinne von erbrechtlicher Übertragung, vom Vater zum Sohne und so quasi....
Noch stumpfer runter gebrochen ist es einfach nur ein kurzer, nicht lang geszogener Umlaut mit "verschluckendem" Charakter / Zunge und Kehlkopf fallen kurz nach unten in den Hals.
Alles andere klingt eher n bissi nach esoterischem Astrologie-Krams, sozusagen die romantisierte Variante. Aber egal, kann man so auch bringen 😌✊🏻
Ópalan steht rein für Erbe und Besitz im Sinne von "Übertragung" dessen, verbunden mit Pflichten, vom Vater zum Sohn in direkter Erbfolge.....alles andere hier ist eher so esoterischer Astrologiekram und sonstiges. Der Vaterlandsmythos ist wie belegbar angesichts nahezu kaum physisch überlieferter oder erhaltener Funde? Ich meine klar, Interpretations-Spielraum gibt's überall zu Hauf, nicht nur bei den Germanen.
Das Lied an sich ist aber klasse - gibt ja inzwischen unzählige gute Bands im, vor allem, nordischen Underground von Dänemark über Schweden, Norwegen bis Island, die etwaige überlieferte Verse (sie sind ja extrem spärlich) der alten Skalden wieder aufleben lassen - ich hab da allein auf TIDAL ne knapp 10Stunden Playlist für mich zusammen gestellt👌🏻

I know nothing about the Proto-Germanic people nor their language at all. The only thing I do know is that they come from the Indo-Europeans and from the 4 lyrics shown, and apparently using what I think is Elder Futhark runes as their writing system. I would like to learn a bit more if anyone does not mind
The Proto-Germanics had no runes sadly, they were invented in the 2nd century, when they were already split into distinct Germanic tribes.
The Proto Germanics lived some centuries earlier and their language is only reconstructed, we don't know what it was exactly like. They stayed for many centuries quite isolated in the north.

The Proto-Germans originated in what is now northern Germany/Denmark, and slowly spread northwards (Norway and Sweden) and southwards, where they slowly Germanised the Celts who lived in Germany at the time. But yes, you are right, the Scandinavians, the Germanic tribes and the West Slavs are all of Indo-European origin 🙂

richtig! die Runenschrift der alten Göktürk 🙂 woher diese extreme Ähnlichkeit kommt ist aber leider ein Mysterium. Es wäre aber nicht auszuschließen das sie damals in den Kontakt mit Germanen oder Wikingern kamen, wenn man bedenkt das es die Goten bis in die Ukraine, Moldavien und Serbien geschafft haben, oder später dann die Nordischen Waräger und Rus, die aber Hauptsächlich in der Ukraine und Russland tätig waren

Wurden diese Lieder nicht für jedermann zum Singen und Anhören geschrieben? aber es scheint mir, dass die deutsche Einzigartigkeit darin liegt, dass selbst die modernsten Lieder wie Geschichte klingen können. und die ältesten Gesänge können modern klingen... (Das Folk-Genre inspirierte die „Neue Deutsche Heaviness“, und die kultigste deutschsprachige Gruppe aller Zeiten zeigte durch das Video und den Song „Deutschland“ perfekt die gesamte Geschichte von das Land, und in anderen Liedern ist die klassische deutsche Mystik mit Nietzsches Nihilismus deutlich sichtbar (Das Lied „Dalai Lama“ erinnert an Goethes Gedicht „Der Erlkönig“) und „Rosenrot“ basiert teilweise auf Goethes Gedicht „Kleine „Steppenrose“ und das Gebrüder-Grimm-Märchen „Schneewittchen und Rotkäppchen“... deshalb habe ich beschlossen, dass Rammstein der nächste sein könnte... because Proto-Germanic (old Futhark) is a separate and much older language that was spoken by the North, West and East Germanic peoples. It was only some time later that a separate language branch and runic script developed between the North, West and East Germanic peoples, but it was still similar overall

@@gavinrolls1054 sorry, then I misunderstood you. Yes, the term "fatherland" did not exist at that time, as there was never a common, unified people among the Germanic tribes. I think he did not want to introduce a word that would not have been appropriate from a logical point of view
What fatherland are they talking about? The germanic tribes were at war with eachother aside from the short period of time after the battle in the teutoburger forest.
