I'm going to throw down my honest opinion. Zephyr produce THE best burgers I've had in years. Having eaten there a few times in recent years, I can vouch for their superb food and they are very highly regarded by the locals (those that actually engage in the food scene in Plymouth, that is).
There are so many haters here...WTF! What is the guy going to say...if the burger he is currently eating is the best he has ever had he has to say that it is the best simple...I love this guy and his reviews he seems to know his stuff and he seems to really care about the people behind the burgers
I think you mistake hating for criticism. I'm sure you're not opposed to watching more authentic videos.

Wow! I did not expect to see them in Plymouth! I was obsessed with these guys when they were in Peckham Levels. I used to go there for lunch (and dinner) all the time. I get saying a burger is the best is overdone, but it really is true with these guys, literally the best burger I ever had (and I live in the US now). Perfect bun that holds up, doesn't get soggy, amazing meat/smashpatties/sauces, perfect pairings/ratios, awesome loaded fries, and love the pink onions! I was so sad when they disappeared and would think about them to this day haha. Looks like I'll have to make a trip down to Plymouth when I'm back!

Those burgers look phenomenal. You can tell he’s put a lot of time and effort into getting each part of the burger right. This place is a 5 hour drive from my house. If it was closer, I’d definitely check it out.

Glad to see you finally ate a really good burger. Was laughing when the owner asked if matt went to well known burger spots in la. Bun is super important , Portuguese buns or milk buns really good , glad to see a mayonnaise based sauce or aoli on burger such an la thing. Best burger ive seen him review but hope if he does go back to la he hits up goldburger or plancheck or fathers office or any of the other amazing burgers to choose from even institutions like tommys or apple pan.

Update for anyone who cares lol. I went on Thursday and had tge California. There were a few people inside and the people were friendly. The burger itself... It was good, really nice, unique melt in your mouth patty and cheese. As pointed out in the video too, the buns are fantastic, retaining their shape and texture throughout. But unfortunately it was rather salty. I think this was down to the cheese but I can't be sure. Therefore I give it a solid 7.5/10. Really nice but the salty aftertaste let it down a bit. I wouldn't say it was the best but it nearly was!
I understand the commitment to the food, but what about the prices?
How about turning up to places unannounced and doing a proper honest review like the old humble days.

Trip burger uses ground bacon in their patties thats their usp. Goldburger well known but loads of amazing burger places in la but they dont do research.

I reckon you should do an incredible little "mini series" where you take Ben the driver round to only the BEST places you've rated and treat him to some grub when he gets of his diet routine! I feel terrible for him torturing himself like that, but i understand the reasoning!

go to Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, Lockhart, and Houston and do a texas BBQ review....it will take you a solid 7 days but it will be worth it
Looked like a pretty average burger cook with seasoning, but those buns are top tier. Using pancetta is a neat twist.
Id only trust reviews that were held away from the place the item was bought such as just outside even... good video and yeah the burgers look nice.

As of late the vibes are off with these new videos compared to the old ones.
The thing that brought me in was the authenticity, the honesty, and the banter between whoever was in the videos. Even the act of being impartial went a long way. The reviews felt real, and they had that unique spark to them.
Walking out with goodie bags filled with swag after a review is just not it. It's a shame, because I feel like the integrity has been compromised.
I still wish FRC the best, and hopefully they can return to form.
Those days are long gone, just like big matts hairline.

Independent smash patty cheeseburgers from London street food to Brighton via our lovely restaurant in Plymouth. Food Review Club: 10/10 "This Could Be The Best Burger in The World" . Deliveroo are selling these in Brighton but I can not find an outlet in Brighton. Are they sold under licence produced by another company?
There isn't an outlet, just a 'dark' kitchen for delivery.

I would have thought the negative comments can easily be tested as it gets down to a single bacon cheese burger to try and see if it is as hype as being commented on.

You obviously didn't swim in streams as a child, Charecter building and the southwesterly way.
In any professional kitchen including Michelin starred chefs handle food with bare hands and have rigid routines in washing hands to avoid cross contamination, this isn't a subway.
