    So Link defeated 3 Silver Lynels and about 30 Bokoblins on his own without even carrying a shield and all he got was a scratch on the arm? @Nathan-kk6lb Před 3 lety +123

      @@SashGirl34 It’s made worse since Age of Calamity outright confirmed this was the case. In that version, the change in events due to time travel resulted in the king having a Guardian Shield on him during the Guardian attack that killed him in the “canon” timeline, which allowed him to block the laser and escape. Had he properly researched ancient technology instead of just relying on the Link/Zelda prophecy kicking in and fixing everything, they stood a good chance of repelling the initial attack enough to prevent the deaths of the champions, Link’s near-death, and the fall of Hyrule Castle.
      Remember, the game outright states that they went up against Calamity Ganon the first time with *zero* ancient weapons. The Guardian Weapons were all sealed in the shrines, and the Akkala team didn’t even develop
      Ancient Arrows (which, in game, are only slightly more expensive than bomb arrows) until fifty something years after the Calamity. On top of that, even the barely-funded research groups by the time of Link’s awakening (lol) had managed to (almost) solve immortality, in addition to Link essentially tripping into activating a dormant nationwide teleportation system (yeah, remember, they didn’t even have Travel Gates until Link turned the towers back on at the start of the game, that probably would have helped the Hylian army a good bit, wouldn’t you think?).
      Oh, and the only reason why Hyrule isn’t the technological Star Trek fantasy land the Sheikah tech hints at by the time of this game? The king from 10,000 years ago got paranoid and thought the Sheikah might use their technology to usurp him, and so they told them to go become farmers instead. Some of them agreed, but another sect then went off and became the Yiga Clan out of spite. Also, he made the brilliant decision to seal most of the remaining Guardians into those four big pillars you see around the castle and set them to pop up out of the ground automatically if Ganon returns...without thinking about what might happen if he learned to control the Guardians.
      So yeah, I guess bad decisions when it comes to technology seems to run in ol’ Bosphoramus’ family. Canonically, if either of them had been even *slightly* less paranoid, none of BotW would have happened.

A Goddess blood princess and a fearless knight, appear each age to fight the good fight" (Zelda and Link) Every age there's descendants of Link and Zelda (who are also named Link and Zelda) to stop Ganon when he rises to power again. It was like in Twilight Princess where you come across the skeleton of the Ocarina of time era Link and he teaches you some fighting techniques. As for the timelines, I think there's two. One where the villain wins and another where Link and Zelda win (The main one I assume)

    I have a hypothesis. In Zelda's diary, we see what Link told Zelda for why he doesn't talk. She said he doesn't talk because he's worried about making something go wrong, or that he'll give the wrong impression about something. But what if there's more to that? By what Revoli is saying, Link is just some random person that was suddenly given more recognition than the Four Champions. Maybe that's also why he's so silent. He was some random person given power, and he feels he doesn't deserve it. He doesn't share his opinions or get mad at being mocked by Revoli because he feels that he doesn't have the right to. He accepts it. He does what he's told because he feels he doesn't have the authority or right to go by his own way or suggest another way. He already stole the light from Zelda and the Champions, so he doesn't want to bend things more to his desire.

      Cadaver The Crapfest but he isn't just some random person. Everyone knows about the Hero and how he reincarnates, and they know the signs to tell who he is when he appears. This Link IS a reincarnation. If he wasn't, the Sword wouldn't have bonded with him and he wouldn't have been allowed in the Shrines or given the legendary green outfit when he found them all. The only reason the triforce of courage didn't appear on his hand is because Zelda had ALL THREE, as it can be clearly seen when she seals away Ganon.

      Yes, I know. What I'm saying is that, even though he is the Hero, he had come from a simple background of low-class village life. It might be because of the fact that he came from such a peasant-like life, he feels obligated to stay silent since he had no notable achievements and/or status the Four Champions and Zelda had. I didn't mean to say that he was just some random person that suddenly took the place of the reincarnated Hero had for all the eons. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

And when I unlocked this one at the Spring of Power - it clicked that this was a Zelda that I actually wanted to save. Seeing Zelda struggle with her power, and her feelings of inadequacy, make her such a likeable character. I think Nintendo wanted with these memories, was for you to feel empathy with Zelda and do whatever to save her. Rather than spending more time like I did exploring the amazing open world of BOTW

    I love that in this game Zelda has so much character! You can see her slowly becoming more and more fond of Link rather than him just being the chosen boy that shows up and she magically accepts no questions asked. I also love that we find out the tiniest tidbit about Link's family. Best Zelda game I've ever played.

    You know, I just realized why Zelda needed "The Power of Love" (hurl) to unleash her sealing powers. It's has nothing to do with wisdom. As many people have already pointed out, the moment that made her power appear has more to do with courage.
    But, you see, she already had plenty of wisdom inside her. She was a scholar, seeking to learn from the past. She also had plenty of power; what Daruk described as "a strong personality".
    What she didn't have, or at least not enough of, was courage. She didn't show that until that moment where she leapt in front of that guardian to protect Link.
    She needed the full Triforce to unlock her sealing powers.
    EDIT: Okay, I feel like I have to clarify something here: I never meant that Zelda HAD the Triforce. What I meant was that she needed to embody all three virtues that make up the Triforce - and the three golden goddesses - before she could use her own power.

    • @bushisback112
      @bushisback112 Před 4 lety +8

      So you guys are just going to ignore that it makes no sense for Zelda to miraculously have the power of the full triforce? Also I’m 99% sure the full power of the triforce would have been more than enough to easily wipe out Ganon and pretty much every ounce of malice in the world. Think before you make these ridiculous theories.

    • @bushisback112
      @bushisback112 Před 4 lety +9

      Zelda has always had the triforce of wisdom, Link the triforce of courage, and Ganon the triforce of power. How does Zelda all of a sudden have the power from the whole triforce? There are so many characters in this game with wisdom, courage and strength. Link himself goes through multiple trials involving wisdom courage and strength but never held the power of the full triforce except for when they make a wish with the actual triforce itself.

      You know Link and Ganon don't have their Pieces of the Triforce in Botw. Search it up. Also yes you are right that the Triforce should be able to take down Ganon but maybe the pure incarnation of evil is just to much at its most enraged form to work properly. So yes this is a perfectly balled and genius theory.
