Its not that he takes it too seriously, its that he blames everyone else. I've played sports with people who take it too seriously, but they can still be fun to play with and can sometimes motivate you to do better.

@KaylumHSQ the thing is that everyone that plays siege more thinks you have to get kills to do your part. I had a dude message me bringing up my gamerscore (I'm on Xbox with 170k) and saying to go achievement hunting because siege isn't for me. I played hard breacher every round and planted 2/3 attacking rounds. I played bandit or kaid and stopped thermite every defense, finished 3 kills 5 deaths and we lost 4-2. 90% of the time I'm playing support or anchor because nobody plays objective or for plant. Literally so frustrating that nobody uses utility anymore

The most annoying for me is a dead teammate nonstop telling me where to go how to play and if I do something incorrectly. It's like now I can't hear the other teams movement to this and it's getting really out of hand. Then when you die for the rest of the game they just talk down on you like you don't know how to play the game.

That's probably because ubisoft thinks casual is purgatory. If you get banned for something smaller like a match abandon, you get locked out of everything except casual. The real casual experience is moving over to standard

I ALWAYS get randoms like the first guy. So i play like a full on bot just to piss them off, its very entertaining. Then they always have awful stats and bottom frag like 80% of the time.

But then on the last round I was carrying the defuser, I got stuck in 1v3 scenario and this one guy yelled at me saying, "Why didn't you go inside and plant you fucking retard!!? Admittedly I didn't know everyone was on sight already, but no one said anything. I got fragged and they all went "OMG you're so fucking bad!" Fuck this game, man. 😔

@@TraviNomotion Not even losing! Often they'll just bottom frag, talk all game and get carried, it's miserable. But to be fair I mute pretty quickly after it becomes clear it's just how they are.
Probably because they treat quickplay like a practice mode for ranked and get angry when losing cause they think it means it won’t go well for ranked.

This happens because you start to overthink things. It happens to me as well. When you're playing casual, you can kind of just turn off your brain and frag out. So when you enter into ranked, you become super paranoid and question your aim or your game sense and tbh it really sucks, but I think the best way to get over this is to consistently play ranked.
Whenever I play ranked and get teammates that tell me what to do the whole time, I try and play along but I wind up going 1 and 6. Then when I don’t listen to everything they say I go even and do my job lol
Yeah honestly the toxicity in higher ranks is a big reason why I only ever wanted to play with my Gold/Plat friends in ranked, never cared about reaching Diamond/Champ, never cared about finding higher ranked teammates, and never peaked past Plat/Emerald, and I've been playing this game since 2018.
i've been playing since the 2016 era/2017 and find it toxic when players see I used to be gold and moved down to copper. I was just getting back into the game after a couple years and just so happened to be copper this season. (was bronze and silver in the past couple seasons before) and get shit for playing like a new player (I still knew the basics and how to support in a team role.) but yeah, I play ranked in copper and even the players there take the game seriously especially with PC crossplay and pc players are just the worst.
pretty sad cause my irl friend acts like this, even in quickmatch. i don’t know why he gets this mad, i don’t know why he blames our teammates when he’s bottom fragging and screaming instead of giving info. i’ve tried calming him, talking to him, but nothing is working. sucks

There's nothing wrong with taking a game seriously as long as you keep a couple of things in mind:
1. You can't hold your teammates to the same standard you hold yourself.
2. You have to hold yourself accountable. Focus on your own mistakes and the things you can control.
Ranked is either: everyone is muted, plays whatever op they want and doesn’t seem to care whether they win or lose like it’s a TDM game. Or sweaty tryhards who most of the time, aren’t even doing that much but still talks shit anyways. Then there’s sometimes the lucky draw with chill dudes.
And you still lose with the "chill" dudes because they are a mix of both. Most siege players are just really aggressive depressed freaks.
I agree that most people that play Ranked Siege do take the game WAY too seriously. However, I personally don't play the game to lose, so I get it. I get both sides in the end

I try to win but I mostly play for fun (that's also why I play the ops I like and not the most meta ones...I love playing Fenrir and still enjoy Tubarao but I'll never forget the day I made the enemy mad by playing an aggressive Clash XD) and nothing is more fun to me than making toxic player rage

One thing about Standard is definitely the fact that there is a lot of Champ/Diamond stacks there, sometimes I go up against like 5 champ/diamonds while my team is like 4 gold players lol.
I just joined r6s and am level 22 and 1 out of 5-6 matches in standard there are kids taking it so seriously cursing me out, so sad. 😑

I tried playing ranked but had to stop before I got a ban or something because of "griefing" which is ridiculous because I was the only one setting up site. I was doing it properly too, with rotates and everything

@@Minotaur4005I went 1-4 in a game where we got 4-0d. I played anchor because my entire team, a 4 stack, left site to spawn peak and got picked off. All 4 deaths were minimum 1v3 situation. Stuck in site then on offense I play hard breach and get no emps from anyone and twitch doesn't use her drone and again they rush in like apes and I'm stuck trying to push site 1v4. New age siege is incredibly frustrating

@_DMNO_ its a shit system that gives toxic people and cheaters another way to ruin the game for others, i hopped on a couple days ago and got bombarded with more reports of griefing. I'd rather deal with cheaters on warzone or the insane massacre that is gears of war than deal with the r6 community. Some peeps may be good but im yet to find anyone in game.
Siege toxicity: in Standard got a team mate roasting the team because we were getting throttled. I ask him if he is solo queuing, nope he is in a queue with his friends. So hes casually roasting his own friends, on the voip probably while in a call with them already.
He has no coms except to rage, and then expects us (me and my duo) to play well. And he hyper ventilated when I told him to carry is hes that good then. To be fair I was playing trash but I never roast the team, I only give simple callouts.
This is the type of player I hate. They think we should play better, but they don't communicate except to voice frustration.
Hey varsity, I totally related to that cav interrogation out of site play and my teammates yell at me, once I was in quickmatch, trying to break in through a soft wall, Cav was upstairs, I droned, my teammate gets downed, can't go in bc I don't know where the cav is, teammate is intero'd, I gotta drone to make sure I don't get wall banged, other team mates get wall banged, can't do anything bc then I will get wallbanged, tried explaining what would've happened if I just walked inside the building and my plan (buck from above with fuze who was in the building) but he wouldn't listen, this was all in QUICKMATCH.

This is why I try to be as positive as possible when I'm first or second (when I have a leg to stand on) as people tend to play worse when they're worried their teammates are going to flame them. And also there's no reason to be mad! One of 900 games they've played isn't going to affect anything, so instead of putting others down, lift them up!
I've not played since 2020 ish and recently got back into this game because master chief. As an xbox player the lobbies are more toxic than you think especially because people can send pms to you on xbox (i'm also only level 60 if that means anything). I would say 1 in 3-4 games there is someone chatting shit in vc or sends me a toxic af message. Yes i know im shit at the game, im learning, thats what CASUAL is for.
Don’t invest time in the game if you are going to mainly solo q, trust me, it’s not worth it. I speak from experience (I’m level 200)

played standard yesterday and some kid on the enemy team was raging in text chat saying his team was awful, yet he had the same kd as the rest of them and was the lowest ranked of all of them. their all time best rank was silver V in ranked 2.0 with a negative kd, even lower before when rank was actually accurate. needless to say his team lost cause he couldnt stop tking and talking trash so each round was at minimum a 4v5, and was extremely satisfying when his teammates told my team thanks for taking a dump on him the whole game and for giving him the much needed reality check.
R6 is prolly the most annoying game I’ve played even somewhat competitively. Everyone swears they’re a pro even when it’s a gold lobby 😂 I thought when I hit diamond for the first time it’d be so cool but it was just a bunch of pro league wanna bes screaming in the mic

I get paired with kids in my matches almost every other match and all they do is yell and they get toxic fast especially when nothing goes there way
My favorite part about those guys is the fact that they’re the first to die, and will always yell at you no matter what you do, even if it’s a 1v5 and you’re already 20 HP and the defuser is halfway across the map (because they died with it) with 30 seconds left in the round, they expect nothing less than for you to bend the laws of space and time to clutch

I've been playing siege for like 2 months and i have to say, ive never really gotten upset during a game excpet maybe once when i got spawn peaked. The only time i ever got mad was when i got kicked from a standard game and then given an abandon penalty because I didn't rejoin. Blows my mind to see and hear people lose their minds over someone dying in like a 1v5, when they're almost always the first ones to die
im sorry this is absolutely not a rare occurrence in the eu servers, i have played 20 standard, 20 ranked matches and in 20/20 in both categories i had people be toxic for either no specific reason or for a very silly reason, i end up just muting the voice chat cause at this point there is no valuable conversation to be found

I'm a wide range of different gamers. I'm decent at siege and the highest I've gotten is Plat, but I'm prone to getting spawn peeked and then getting a bit frustrated with my teammates next moves. I'm consistently against champions, so it makes it even more annoying. The difference between me being actually toxic is I don't hot mic. Even if they say get on comms, ill pass. I'm either going to get chewed out or I'm just going to unintentionally get frustrated with what occurs next while I'm dead.
Better then the ones who go 1-4 backseatgaming and acting like this

Honestly I keep all my comments about my teammates to myself no matter the match mode, because it's not worth it and you don't know what people have going on.
Really, that IQ player was unreasonable with his comments and needs to understand that teammates do stuff for reasons like watching flank or planting in non-default areas. I hope this was just a off game for him and that he isn't usually like that, because he definitely showed a bad shade of attitude.

I’ve only just started playing pc ranked again recently and was amazed by how toxic even quick play was. I had a standard game where a 3 stack basically just tk’d me for the entire attack phase. I did my absolute best to throw the rest of the game which ig they didn’t like very much. I take siege seriously on ranked but standard is the place where I fuck around and have fun because there is nothing lost when you lose.
I played with these two guys once and it turns out they were brothers. They died before everyone else and i was usually the last one alive. They kept telling me i was trash and all. After the game was over they spammed party invites on xbox just so they can roast me and call me out. Point is is people take a video game way to seriously. The best thing to do is just ignore them.

I used to play R6 daily with my old friend group. We played for about...I want to say 2-3 seasons and got into diamond in our 3rd season but the community in ranked and casual is why myself and friends all quit the game. Rainbow is a fun game but toxic players ESPECIALLY in causal make it the most unenjoyable experience you can have. I'm thankful they at least took away the "vote to kick" feature from casual because getting kicked simply because "LOL we can" was the dumbest feature I've ever seen in any video game.

The funniest part is that most of the first guy's ranting and raving is about making you move and do things unnecessarily quickly. Your biggest strength in siege is your patience, in my opinion
I just got siege, im reallt enjoying it. Not reallt toxic but i had a guy tell me im bad... Wow it as almsot if played the game for about 4 hours at this point, im still learning how to lean effectively.
In my server its the opposite. Quickmatch and standard have the most toxic people while ranked have by far the most chill people.
One ranked game on round 1, my last teammate got prefired cause jager saw his shadow. Some1 said his cok was so big jager saw the shadow and BOTH TEAMS started joking about it into round 2 (reminder this is plat emerald ranked)

I was playing a quick play in Overwatch 2 and I had this guy hating on me for being a new player. I told him I was new and only had around 5 hours under me so I'm not going to know how to play or have game sense. As he kept digging into me I just told him to go back to Competitive if it's such an issue for him. Some people in gaming are just sad. I still don't know what ELO is because I'm that new.
The first time i tried siege. After the first round, two guys on my team got on their mics, ripping me a new one. Told them i no idea what to do because i was new, but it didn't matter to them. By the 3rd round, i had enough and told them to have fun only playing sweats and tryhards. Then quit and uninstalled the game.
When I watched the old stories/movies. It seemed Franklin didn’t show a lot of character. Hell it seemed pig pen showed more character than him. I don’t believe this to pander to the whatever community you want to relate it to. It just gives me nostalgia of an heartfelt movie/series
