I have always accepted Julian's body of work because it has always stood on it's own. His material be it musical, or in print has been a noteworthy expression of his creativity, and should not be judged upon he having famous parents.
All the World Say that Julian is Gifted from his father John, It is true! He is gifted from his great parents Cynthia & John .....But Julian is on his own man, on his own way of his own steps!!! Not only talented man in many ways, Julian is Golden Man!!! ♥ Thank you!!! ♥
John called him whiskey bottle baby,aka a mistake , left all his estate to yoko and other son while ignoring Julian . Paul was a father figure to him . Created huge rift between brothers who didn't reconnect till sean was in late 30s

Julian Lennon is a legend in his own right. Although I have been a John Lennon fan for the past decade. Julian's music is equal if not more than John Lennon's. And definitely Julian has a better tone..

Great interview but a year & a half before John was shot John tried to reconnect with Julian. Wish I could ask him about that?
I think Julian has a lot from his father. His features are very similar to him.
Obviously Sean has a lot from his father too. But imo people tend to see more of John in Sean because he does everything to have John's appearance. The glasses, the long hair, the beard. Obviously people will see more of John in him. On the other hand Julian doesn't do that, he tries to avoid the Lennon image. He doesn't want to be known as John's son. Sean does. And well, Yoko wants it 'cause it's lucrative for her.
There should be a group, the sons of the Beatles. Julian, Sean, Dhabi Harrison and Ringo's son Zak starkey.
And Paul's son, James is also a musician.

WOW..Okay,yes,in the very beginning when your career first started,I was amazed and stunned,as well as very mystified at the whole "DNA AND GENETIC" THING between you and your dad,as I did very poorly in Science and the study of the body,genes,and such all through my school years(SCIENCE AND MATH WERE MY 2 WORST SUBJECTS),and to this day,I'm still mystified by it,lol and I have always said,I would just love to go into a lab somewhere and play with chemicals just to see what I come up with,lol. BUT..rather than be a fan of you because of your dad,I chose to look beyond it,to see whom you could become outside of it. When mom took me to see you in concert when i was a teen,she knew i was struggling with alot concerning my father and trying to find myself outside of him,and outside of many past bad things and trying to help me make peace with all that had went on,by showing me somebody that had been there,done that and still finding his way and succeeding where i was losing,i used it as a "Learning tool" as well as looking at somebody whom was a part of his dad genetically,but personality wise and talent wise,not living in the shadow. It wasn't until i saw the "STAND BY ME" documentary where i began to SEE alot of myself and that same awkwardness i felt,awkwardness,discomfort,and pain. BUT then when i saw the VH1 BEHIND THE MUSIC thing and heard the stories you told. I WAS IN COMPLETE DISBELIEF AND SHOCK at how similar we were. ALSO? I NEVER GOT ALONG WITH MY STEPMOTHER EITHER(and i still don't like her,and she's been deceased for 2 or 3 years now). I AM STILL TRYING TO MAKE PEACE WITH MY PAST FULLY, and I'd say,I'm halfway there. But,I don't know that there will ever be complete and total peace,alot happened that I just don't know if I can forgive. I'd like to. But right now,I just don't know. Time will tell. BUT I ADORE MY MOM,she looks like a very skinny version of your mom,lol. SHE IS MY #1 VERY BEST FRIEND AND WE ARE EXTREMELY CLOSE. AND WE MAKE EACH OTHER CRAZY,LOL. AND WE HAVE ALOT OF FUN. WE'RE MORE LIKE SISTERS THAN WE ARE MOTHER AND DAUGHTER,LOL. RIGHT NOW I AM TAKING CARE OF HER,SHE'S DOWN SICK WITH A NASTY COLD. AS FOR THE PHOTOGRAPHY? LIKE I SAID AND WILL SAY AGAIN"YOU ARE JUST NATURALLY GIFTED AND TALENTED,LENNON OR NOT". YOU ARE GOOD,AND YOU KNOW THAT AND YOU DON'T NEED MYSELF OR ANYONE TO TELL YOU WHAT YOU ALREADY KNOW,EVEN THOUGH IT DOES FEEL GOOD TO AT TIMES FEEL APPRECIATED AND I GET THAT. BUT JUST KNOW THIS..YOU HAVE BEEN MY ROLE MODEL SINCE THE BEGINNING AND HAVE BEEN HELPING ME FROM AFAR,"WALK THROUGH THIS SHADOW PEACEFULLY",and i know in time,I'll get to where you are with time and baby steps, one step,one day at a time. So,.thankyou for being that role model for me and i am sure for many others. Keep up the awesome work you are doing and take care always,much love,light,and hugs.
