Y'all need a Claw-rake. After the field has been plowed and a rain, take a Claw-rake and a Short Spade with ya. Areas where you feel there may be more and areas where there soft mud you can run a rake through it and they can come up 3 - 5 at a time, if you're in an area where there had been a campsite and "Always along Creek Bed". Walk the creek water and look at the spots where the water flows over roots and catches debris. (Watch for Snakes and "Woodboogers" - I don't care what folks think, they're out there in wooded areas by creeks and lakes.) Ya know what a Woodbooger is right? (Squashes)
These are a good outing to take your dogs with ya and "if you've promised the kids" a 2nd day at one of these sites is a great outing for kids and a lunch picnic.
These are gray Metal-detecting locations for Civil War items, particularly in Tennessee, Eastern Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi.
Teach them to keep eyes on the ground for the Arrowheads, snakes, and Hornets Nests or Ground Bees (often by tree trunks).
      You guys are so fun.
      Awesome Video!!!

That's not a Paleoindian point. It's a late stage preform or knife. Paleo point would be thinner and have a different flaking pattern. Based on the points that were found, site looks to be Late Archaic to Middle Woodland.

Kurt, some of the prettiest jasper I’ve ever seen is in Arizona. I’ve collected rocks all of my life, and many of the from Arizona, including arrowheads. I found many of them in the mountains between Tucson and Bisbee. I found a beautifully napped tomahawk head near Patagonia, next to an artesian spring about 3 1/2” down in the clay.

Hello Kurt, you know in my situation it’s hard to find comfort of any kind. Tuesday night is the hardest, my wife is constantly saying relax, relax. This morning all she said was are you ready? Where are you going with the Hover Boys? I was so ready to go on a great adventure I dropped my tablet twice, so my wife set me all up and went for some coffee (I don’t know what I would do without my wife). Wow! Again thank you for sharing your outstanding adventure of finding very cool arrowheads that could be as old as 5000 or even 10,000 years old. It makes you wonder how it was used last? How did it end up there with the tip missing? As always, thanks for sharing your great adventure with all of us (me). It’s really exciting to see what you and the guys come up with next. My Dr. will not check my BP on Tuesday - it’s that fun!

I use a long handled dandelion digger. Works great. might be to short for taller people. When you are in Paleo country their knives were sometimes made of the larger flakes. Look for secondary chipping and see if the piece fits to your hand hold. Also watch for stones that have smooth surfaces.Might be a tool or game piece. Call it sugar quartz or sagar flint in Colorado also. Some of those pieces might be scrapers.

Awesome. I used to look in my grandparents fields for arrow heads and spear points. I still have my finds from that time. Its great seeing you out doing this. 😊

Thanks for a great video! At first when you said "No metal detectors today" I just about spit my Hortons out!! But wow, enjoyed every second, while I always keep my eyes peeled when I'm detecting fields, I've found no more than worked chips. Congrats on that huge Paleo! Man, what a honker, that's the equivalent of a State copper lol...So have you detected this field? or have plans to? Thanks again, great content, you guys always deliver. Scotty.

Nice find on the black piece. Tough to find big pieces with modern farm equipment. Not sure you have a paleo type but still a nice find. A good clue would be if it has lateral grinding near the base. Regardless it should look nice in a display case.

Now that the excitement has calmed down and if I had to give an honest accestment, id say Guilford Straight Base - Early Archaic 6,000 to 8, 000, there was Maccorckles and Lecroys found at same spot, im by no means an expert, my guess.
