I missed the point, is previous mechanic forgot to put back that washer? On my 307 i can hear some ticking noise sometimes somewhere from gearbox direction when idling but car runs fine in all gears.

they designed the windscreen bottom like that to use it to hide the wipers I guess.

Now we still don't know how to spin the box ;P

Yea I owe everyone an apology for that cause when I split the box from engine I see the carnage that was in there. I dropped the box as you can see to carry out the gear box repairs if and when I get another I can do it on il show every one how ✌️

@@crankyconrods7417 thanks. One question though: I guess you are in a left hand driving country, (I'm in a right hand driving one), to remove the box, do I need to disassemble the drive shafts from both sides of the vehicle? Or just the one at side of the box? I see many videos where people remove both sides, which confuses me.
So to get the box out, I need to remove battery and battery holder, airfreshening housing, the wheel, and detach the wheel sensor, then drain the gearbox oil, and then detach the drive shaft, and detach the clutch slave cylinder and gear change cables. Then put a stand out jack under the engine, and another one under the gearbox. Then I should be able to the unscrew the nuts and bolts and remove the box?
My car has 200k (km) on it, is it really necessary to replace the flywheel together with the plate? My local garage told me, because it's just a solid flywheel it's not necessary, they actually never had to replace one at all, ever for a 307.
However to replace the crankshaft oil seal, I need to unscrew the flywheel. And my question about that is, can I re-use the bolts? Maybe with loctite (which one?)

Hello there is a Few good questions there yes remove all drive shafts if removing the box fully cause if you don't you will catch drive shaft oil seals in the gear box then it will leak.
No you do not need to replace flywheel as its a solid mass one yes you can remove and re use bolts with a bit of lock tight I personally never use it but it's up to you.
Yes battery tray and as I show in the video needs to be removed to get to the gear box mount.
JUST WATCH THE BOTTOM OF WINDOW SCREEN as I say there not supported at the bottom

@@crankyconrods7417 alright, thank you. And yes it's a French car.. they like floating wind screens. and putting bolts and nuts at weird places (no pun intended haha). Well, I just want to replace the clutch, the pressure plate (it's a set), and the clutch bearing buffer (and also the clutch fork). The driveshaft oil seal on the other side was replaced 2 months ago. I wonder if I have to replace that again, is it recommended? Also, on that side of the vehicle, the crankshaft oil seal is beyond the crackshaft pulley and engine timing pinion, I should not go there right? No need to replace that seal I hope, I rather not mess with that part. I wish i could just 'spin the box' and replace it without all this hassle ;)
