Can't believe how fast it looks, way faster than anything I've seen before.
Check out the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo world record. Honestly doesn't look real!
It goes faster than it looks. Lightweight tight chassis with loads of torque and hp.. a modern day caterham

@@ericpisch2732 - But was Shmee carrying all that speed through the corners, lap after lap, over 24 hours? I doubt it. Big-power point-and-squirt driving is very tedious.
I can’t believe how few people smash the “like” button after viewing good free content. vrooom vrooom.
The telemetry showed an awful lot of throttle and very minimal braking. That was an unreal lap!

That's incredible. I lost count of the number of times I thought 'he's braking late here, oh, he's not braking at all😲'

Yep. It must take an awful lot of practice to be able to put your trust in downforce to the extent that, as you say, braking is not an option. Speed down the straight is all well and good, but carrying it through the bends without lifting is where you make up time. 🙂

100% the same! And as he went I tried to adjust my brain to expect it later but never could. I am really not sure how the designed the cockpit to fit the balls his size.
The grip levels are phenomenal, the tyres aren’t even squealing. Beautiful car.
someone correct me if im wrong but if a racing slick starts squealing that means youre starting to be in trouble
@@thibaudprevot4270 Yea, if its squealing you're either overdriving or spinning out of control.
Slicks don't squeal like street tires do. You have a lot of grip until you suddenly don't then you're sliding around and get some squealing from both inside the car and the tires.

The KTM brand has grown into something really special in motorcycles. If they can leverage this into autos, that would be amazing!
Ktm dirt bike devision sucks monkey balls atm. They are the most expensive/lowest reliability/parts most expensive etc. It's not looking good at all.

One of the best onboards I've ever seen, the sense of speed was so palpable, the blur of the kerbstones and trees, wow, immaculate.
I think I just held my breath for about 8 minutes!
Hans Stuck is such a legend. Amazing to see his son Johannes working to the same level of racing.
Haven't heard that name In a while. His ring videos way way back in the day were my first exposure to the ring.
In 2006 I was at a mfg test day and watched Hans go by the car park on the front straight at top speed in a Porche Cayenne whipping the wheel back and forth testing the stability control . I tried to get some photos as I swear he was lifting a rear wheel on occasion.
Hans Felthercrack is a good driver as well 😜

I had to rewind to the beginning of the onboard right away, not only to see the windscreen was relatively bug-splatter free. 😎 Awesome footage.

That's a hell of a lap! Vvery reminiscent of the 919 Evo lap where they just string the corners together faster than I can even think. A very impressive piece of kit for sure. I didn't know they used the Audi 5-cylinder.
Another great video! What does it for me is the genuine exitement and pure geeking out on racing, this is contagious and makes it so much more fun and interesting. Between Missha's giggeling and geekout and Adrian's cinematography this is so awesome!!

Everything always looks so tame on camera… Yet that looked absolutely incredible! I can’t imagine how that must feel inside the car. And for the car to be able to do that for 24 hours? Mind blowing
I can feel that aero working from my couch! The amount commitment (and speed) needed to get that downforce working for you is mind-numbing! Huge props to the driver! Dudes got mad skills!

Great work KTM! Love the lines, nice proportions, wicked look and fast as hell with only a five cylinder. That was one of the most thrilling laps I've ever seen on this track. Please pick me for a ride along the next time he's doing a lap, wow!! Every garage needs one of these babies!! I'll take that one just as it is, thank you very much!

It's funny. You see Schwedenkreuz and think:"I've seen faster cars". But then it goes smooth around the left with over 240km/h. Impressive
You know, when watching the in car dash footage and you get goosebumps watching as the driver and car is generating over 2.5G through corners and barely any braking.
Its absolutely a technological and a physiological breakthrough.

That thing is allowed 600hp in GT2 races. Absolute madness.
They use a different aero kit at NLS and this 24hr though than in GT2 series.
That thing is an absolute monster. I would love to see them make a little Road version of that

Cannot wait till this car makes it into the simulators!! Been a huge fan and supporter of KTM MX bikes and street bikes since the early 2000's. Great to see them grow in MotoGP and now here as well!!

I have heard about a track day special coming from ktm 800hp will see. Great fast lap. Nothing upsets the car chassis and dampers well set
I love KTMs IDGAF design directions, They alway stand out, its the same with their sport bikes too. Plus their vehicles just feel pure, raw and uncompromised by comfort & vanity. They are a seriously underrated manufacturer.

While the car may not have an amazing top speed on long straights, it makes up SOOOOOO much ground in the amount of speed it can carry into and through a corner. VERY impressive machine.

I can't believe how much grip this car has and how late he breaks and how quickly he gets off the brakes. Watched it again just looking at the break indicator and it is insane how little breaking is happening.
I saw several of them racing on the Redbullring yesterday, put up a good fight against the other GT2 cars. Nice to get to see some onboard footage now.
