- You can turn a lifeless and dark basement into a beautiful apartment. On this video, I am sharing a cool project we did for a basement apartment (aka basement suite). And for this project, we came up with a fun but still classy design.

Hi! It is pretty, isn't it? The exact model you would only be able to find on Esty (depending where you are located). However, Wayfair has a similar one called Bungalow Rose Klahn. :)

Hi!!! Rona has a similar one called Safavieh Boston Geometric Rug - 3' x 5' - Cotton - Gray.
This one is from Surya Farmhouse Tassel Collection. It is called Diamond Hand Woven Rug from Hauteloom.

What would be the price range for this basement reno?
Hi Cassy! This will greatly depend on location. Do you live in Canada or in the US?

@@CassyFrater I had replied you but it appears it didn't go through. So, a reno like this in Calgary would be around 50k (including the designer fees). I would imagine that in Toronto it would cost a bit more.
Can you rent such apartments? Are they legal?
Yes, you can rent them. To be considered legal, the design needs to comply with the local bylaw and building code. There are a number of restrictions and rules that you have to follow to make a basement apartment legal :)
Is your client going forward with the project?
Yes! But she might not do all the millwork design we have proposed to her.
you did not mention how many square feet, was the entire basement. I will love to know ?
It was just shy of 1000 sq ft :)
