actually the reason why bishan station is open air because the platform is not deep enough. if anything were to go on the ground above the train track or overtime in the long run, it will have a high risk of collapsing

Correct about Biddahari Cemetery is right beside my old home Potong Pasir. I used to go to school walking through the cemetery for 5yrs. Residents take that cemetery as a park to do their exercises. My school is right beside the cemetery and near Mt Vernon. The new Woodleidge mall's food court is built exactly the same level of the Christian Cemetery's Graves at the depth of 6ft.... lol... literally

I grew up in Bartley Road and studied in Maris Stella Primary. Back then Bidaddari was a cemetery without any underpass for cars. Beside Maris Stella Primary was an abandoned school-like structure with SPCA around the corner. Outram Institute is across the road. In the past night shift taxi drivers would claim to see figures walking up trees when they passed by the road towards Joo Seng as one side is Christian and the other Muslim. Riding inside the cemetery doesn't feel scary at all during the evening as residents are jogging there and it is pretty well maintained that it looks like a park with tombstones. As long as we don't make unnecessary comments about the tombs and do our exercise.

Some understanding on the Bidadari on why it was left vacant for a few years after the exhume of the tombstones, before building BTO. From what i know, the land needs to settle down for a few years. You cannot immediately erect a building there as there are chances of soil erosion. So need to wait a few years for the land to stabilise.
As for the Punggol story on the sister jumping down, i've heard before also. Same story... but i only managed to hear the part until the boy see the sister jump down. As for the wife jumping down, i didnt know theres such continuation.
I do have my own Punggol story to share too...

Hebrew is a language of the Jews. Bidadari cemetery was where my great grandparents buried at. I recall it was very beautiful and peaceful. There was a chapel for people where they could hold the funeral ceremony. Also there were joggers who would go there exercising. A pity such a beautiful place was gone.

1 more experience I want to share. Is about wake. When my grandfather death the wake is 3 days and the monk came saying he did alot of bad things so the floor he going is very deep. Then my dad gave the monk some money asking them to pray more for forgiveness. Then on the last day when they say close the casket no one can turn behind I was small I don't know much so I turn and when the 3 days before the wake is over when praying it suddenly rain heavily and alot of big insects came out. Last day they want to burn a paper house I actually don't believe in ghost so they say don't look when the house is burning but going home I looked. Then going to sleep I saw the casket on my table and I turn to the left and see my grandfather on my bed with me then next morning my dad pray for forgiveness then nothing happened after that

Mei Chin estate across the main road facing Queen Crescent was also a cemetery once. If you are at the main
road you can see a lot of tombs on the slope before it
was cleared and the hill levelled to build HDB flats. I was
living in Queens Crescent and when they will clearing the
graves ever nights I could hear the dogs howling very loudly
and cats meowing pitifully in the street during that period.
I even heard foot steps of a ghost very loudly one night
and it stop at my door before going down after awhile
and when back to the cemetery with the dogs and cats
    growling loudly after it.

Can u pinpoint exactly where were the tombstones and graves and cemetery? Your description of across the road facing queens crescent very confusing. Is it the current blk 168 area or the current bto midway of being built aka queens arc and queens canopy?

    • @michaellim8464
      @michaellim8464 Před měsícem

I cannot understand or even answer your question. When my
family move in and stay in Queen
Crescent during my early childhood years what I know
the place was a hill and also a
      Chinese cemetery before it was
      cleared and levelled to build
HDB flats. I don't even step into
the estate but I used to walk on a
long stretch of road everyday to
the other end to reach my school
      i.e Queensway Secondary School.
When I am using that road on one
side is Mei Chin HDB blocks and
on the other side of the road there are still levelling the hill. After that
we shifted to a place where there
is block they call red brick. I heard
that my area is already cleared
      under end bloc.

I was at one time always staying very late at nights
engrossed in my computer when I keep sensing
some things in my room and when I turned round I
would see small people with eyes that turned to face
me and they always flee and disappeared. That was
just a period of time and now I don't have this problems.
I don't know why. They are not fearsome and I am not too
bothered. The one in my office really give me the creep.
After the first time, I have a knack of sensing their
presence even though I am fast asleep. My body would
freeze and go into shock and that when I opened my
eyes, I would saw them in front of me. Very big and fearsome that sent shivers over me. That why I always
avoid sleeping in the dark in my office or I will always encounter them. I know they like to sneak into the office
after midnight and everyone going to sleep.
