Miracle port. The studio that ported it is really gifted. Kudos to them.
sigh still bought it, I can't justify buying a second different console just for one game.
I think that's the good thing about this port; It's a genuinely good port of a REALLY demanding game. It works well enough on switch that you can still enjoy everything about the game.
Every console has great exclusives, but I still can't justify buying each console just for those games.
It is a great port, but damn the graphics are a dealbreaker for me. I just finished this game on Switch and i feel like i've missed out so much on the amazing graphics on PS5, so i'm selling my Switch version and getting a whole ass PS5 instead. Quite disappointing since I'm not a gamer myself and only bought the Switch for HL, but at least i got to experience Zelda BOTW and TOTK while waiting for HL.
I am plaing in the PS5 version right now and i have to say that the graphics don't change that much. I feel kind disappointed for what they do there too and i was hoping for something better. Of course that is better than the switch version at least.
@@RafaelCosta-vm4os oh no! i just bought a PS5 today after seeing all the comparison videos with the Switch over the past month. I'm hoping the visual upgrade would be worth it for me based on what i've seen so far, cause the game resolution on the Switch really took me out of the fantasy + that crazy flickering hair which was so distracting (Though its improved in the latest patch update)
If not at "worse" I'd still have TLOU part 1/2 and cyberpunk 2077 to look forward to on the PS5.
Your case might be of the minority. The port works out for people that want to play Switch games; like how you prefer being able to play BOTW And TOTK rather than other console exclusives. But yeah, the resolution is something youd have to compromise on.
That said, @RafaelCosta-vm4os made a good point. Hogwarts Legacy works best with a High End PC. Even the PS5 had to cut down and change things to get it to run decently
Some of the combat really hurts your fingers and hands due to cramping, especially Ranrok. Trying to choose a platform for a geezer who likes HWL, Zelda etc. switch is portable but tough to handle.
Hey now I'm that geezer and love Zelda reason I bought my switch oled to play BOTW and TOTK... beat both and was looking for another game got Hogwarts legacy because it's 1 player open world am disappointed in the "open world" but over all its a good game am just not worth shelling out a few hundred bucks for another gaming system where it might work better. I have been a Zelda fan since it came out and all my consoles are Nintendo, I'm too old now to start over learning another lol.
@@Boudicea97 You are definitely the target audience for this port. The fact that you can play Hogwarts Legacy on Switch at all, is way better than having to buy a new console or just missing out
@WinstonSmithGPT, I totally get it. Fingers, Elbows, neck. Handheld devices are great, but sometimes I’m better off using ScreenCast option and use a separate controller

Although portability is always a big argument; with consoles like the ASUS ROG Ally, Steam Deck and other handlheld PCs, we know that even portable gaming can be better in performance and graphics.
If the Switch can improve its hardware while keeping Nintendo quality and branding, then it's definitely going to have an edge over modern-gen consoles
Nintendo just can't grasp the concept of creating tech beyond that of a potato...this looks terrible for 2023...
Their consoles work great for Nintendo games like Pokemon or Mario, but it doesn't work too well when they try to port big AAA games into a half resolution, 30FPS version.
You can use your potatoes to make great fries, but don't give me a Potato between two buns and call it a burger

Man, el juego apenas corre en una ps4. Que esperabas de la switch que es igual de potente que una ps3.

@@irsshill4502 bueno a mi no me vengas de ignorante por favor, switch esta mucho mas adelantada que cualquier consola de septima generacion y no tiene mucha diferencia con las sobremesas de octava,hombre estamos hablando de una consola capaz de mover the witcher 3,hellblade,doom eternal,wolfestein 2 y otros mas,juegos que son completamente imposibles en xbox 360 y ps3 es mas,la ps3 ni siquiera puede con el the witcher 2

I'd say that the loading screens between areas is the biggest difference in terms of gameplay. Most of the changes and differences are an expected result of playing on a weaker machine, but the extra loading, or Large missing assets are a step too far when we're already accepting the graphical downgrade
@@Altaz-Review what are you talking about the only time I hit a load screen is when I have to load a new map. Moving between areas is smith maybe a bit of buffer when you go through some doors, like from the astronomy tower to the transfiguration courtyard. But it's not a big deal.
Also I would like to include that I have never played a game for the graphics. I play for story/exploration. This game could look like the philosopher's Stone for play station 1 and I would still play and enjoy it.
you CAN fly in and out huge maps , there are some loading screens to load specific places but ROAMING remains amazing! just finish "The High Keep" and let me know how you feel about Highwing XD, still fire even on switch
I would definitely agree; I, myself, don’t care too much about graphics or even playing at like 25FPS, as long as gameplay and interface is fun. But my reason for pointing out these differences is for players who might take that as a dealbreaker. Especially since we have the option to play on other consoles to avoid these minor issues
