Safari Skyway On Ride POV - Chessington World Of Adventures

Safari Skyway at Chessington World Of Adventures opened in 1986 and closed in 2015. Riders embarked on a journey through many of the parks themed lands with spectacular views across both the theme park and zoo. The ride closed for the final time in July 2015 after 29 years of service at the park.

nice vid mate, id say this ride is the best ride there tbh, i was off me barnet last time i rode this bad boy but what i could remember of it was beasten, you dont really feel the speed until your on it (or off it in my case haha) when your there! keep up the good work dude.

While this was not the greatest ride in terms of thrills it was one of the rides I remember as a kid and it made chessington unique and for me as a parent with kids its taken some of the magic away from the park - this was a great way to see lots of the park and really made chessington very special. I am sad they removed it and there was no way of saving or replacing the trains.

Hey Shawn & Charlotte,
I vividly remember this ride from my teen years - it was a significant part of my childhood.
Do you happen to know why they shut it down, and is any of the ride's infrastructure still intact?
P.S. I'll be at Alton Towers on the 16th of March; hope to see you there!
