If Paul Pierce did nothing wrong and was just brutally attacked over jealously behind some woman, then I do consider him a civilian, who was the victim of a heinous act. Now if Paul Pierce instigated the situation, provoked, escalated the drama, or played a significant role, that led to the conflict and physical violence then you lose your status as a civilian and you don't get to tell the cops anything. Don't play big dog status, then turn into a poodle after you get dealt with. That's about as fair as I can be to both sides involved.
