ASMR TRUCKING: HAULING HEAVY THROUGH THE RAIN

- This is a continuation of my ASMR video from last week. This is driving through that same rain storm. The first bit is some shifting and maneuvering on streets, but then it's a nice long drive along I96. Hope you enjoy!

I spent thirty yrs. Driving coal trucks , almost died in two different wrecks that weren't my fault , finely fell off trailer of one , broken back in two places , leg broke in two places , can't do much anything now , and I find myself watching what seems like a fine young man drive one on a youtube channel .
Sorry to hear about your injuries Terry. I hope you get better soon!
Yes, Matt is a great professional driver. Been watching his videos for quite awhile now.
Sorry to hear Terry! Back injuries are definitely tough to manage. How long ago was the accident?
@@callthemall the back injury was four years ago , but the rods and screws in my leg and foot kept getting infection , wound up going into septic shock over that , eight days in intensive care , heart stopped several times , bottom half quit now on several meds. For affib, they are afraid to put metal in my back , it might get infected.it has been a journey.
@@terrydavis6132 damn sorry to hear that, that makes my 7 month journey from a farm accident look small !, hope you heal up good some day 🙂
Hey Terry, my dad was a long haul trucker (hauled hazmat) for 30 years and I am constantly telling people how brutal of a job it is. People think it's easy to 'just sit and drive' and it's anything but! My dad fell off the bed of his truck and broke his shoulder to the point it needed screws and rods to go back together. he had to drive cross country that way because of the importance of the delivery before he could go into the ER. I know it's not much but I hope it helps to know there are folks out here who love and appreciate truck drivers for all they do and everything they sacrifice being out on the road. I hope you find healing and new joys in life.
Love how this guy waves to everyone
Yes, i like that waving to everyone😁👍
Only Canadians and small town folk know the importance of such gestures. All about respect 🤘🏼
Driving a truck with a hood is like being in a gang. Everyone waves
Now That’s a legend
and they dont even see him cause he cant reach over the steering wheel.
1:45 “How many tires do you need?”
“Yes.”
😂 welcome to the wonky Michigan axle laws!
WHAAAT!?! first time I see that many.
Its due to how heavy he is hauling. Must be some really dense stuff.
Here in Manitoba you don’t need all those tires, thats also a reason why most of are roads are the shits, hahah.
I've seen Indian trucks with that many axles
I don't know if anyone else uses this to sleep but this is one of my favourite relax/sleep vids. Very smooth and relaxing to watch and the storm tops it off. Great work and goodnight.
…..and a vibrating bed. Ahhhhhh wake me in morning
New truck driver here. Been driving now for 9 months. I recognize this road. I96 Westbound heading towards Farmington Hills, Royal Oak, Detroit. I run this road most days. Videos like these are what made me finally decide to ditch 29 years of factory life to follow my dream and become a trucker. Best decision I ever made, shoulda done it sooner. I dream of hauling heavy in a nice rig like this. Can't complain, though, I'm with a good small town company paid hourly home every night, making $$$ and having a blast. Stay safe out there brother! Love the video.
I’m leaving a factory job of 2 1/2 years to do trucking. Starting my classes next month. I’m nervous for the permit alone 😅
Drove with a fella years ago who use to wave to every big truck, back then a lot more did, a lot more
my dad passed away a little over a year ago now. when i was a kid he’d take me trucking with him. id always fall asleep in the sleeper because something about riding in a truck and hearing him shift gears put me right to sleep. i love listening to this and remembering the good times we had before im out like a light. i miss him so so much, and this makes me miss him a little less
My condolences friend ❤️
I like your attitude when you greet colleagues. You look like a nice guy. Have a good trip and be safe.
Pure class this guy.
Thanks buddy 👍
Always puts a smile on my face seeing that wave
too bad he didn't get more back, it's not like that anymore
@@davewhite5258 The important thing is to feel good, do your part If you felt good is what matters
The camera quality on this video is something else, and from the best angle. Keep it coming!
That truck of yours sounds awesome! I could listen to that turbo all day and not get sick of it. I came across your channel recently, and I find myself watching it all the time! Safe travels sir, and keep up the awesome work!
Same here after your 2 years 🎉❤ i watch him everyday n night now.
It looks just like my Peterbilt 379. The only difference is he has an 18 speed. I had to live with a 13 speed. I also ran Super B Train Flat decks, but found strapping and tarping in the winter a bit much at over 70 years old. Now I'm hauling local, and home every day.
Tall shifters always look so cool!
I freaking love this sound omg... Thats my dream Pete. Please create more content like this.
Greets from Hungary
Wathchin you go through them gears is like a masterpiece . on point!!
lol
So it's lightly raining here. That awesome first rain smell just kicked up the realism while watching this one.
This is music to my ears
You wouldn’t think watching someone drive a truck in the rain be so idk, interesting. Awesome video
So relaxing. The angle makes it looks like I would need a booster seat to see over the dash
TOTAL INSPIRATION!
Man!!! This type of videos are just what I need. I'm just turning on my favourite music for my mood and watching this. This videos is making me feel like I'm in some kind of meditative trance. It's so cool... Besides, this thing is helping me to see the world far beyond my city and my country - I have no any opportunity to travel, so it helps a lot. Thank you! Hope you'll do this kind of videos more often!!! I wish you the best of luck and an easy roads before you and your truck!
The engine sound is the best music for my ears
Probably the best ASMR trucking video I've listened to - need more of this!
Thank you! I am 53 and need to build my confidence back. I had a strong urge to do that work when I was young. Now I finally think it is time for me to do it. Make more videos like this! Thank you!
Outstanding Diesel Sound Bro. I can sleep for hours hearing that Diesel running. Love it !! Keep it going.
I like the way you drive, nice and gentle.
so peaceful, I love it!
Man, this is beautiful.
I love the clean camera quality and placement. Also I like the truck.
Living the dream and he looks like he's alright with it.Best of luck to him.
The sound is absolutely beautiful wow!
Nice - also for the ears! Thanks for the takeaway.
650 HP is some nice power, great sounding truck, greetings from the Netherlands
Love falling asleep to this peterbilt keep up the great work!
Once I was so broken an I watched a video like this. My heart actually drove with the truck. It was profound. This digital way of life is something beyond comprehension how it connects how it works. It's as impossible to understand or make scene as much as life.
That turbo sounds awesome I could listen to this all day and the sound of the truck makes me want to go truckin !
Thanks for another awesome video. 🚜🚚🚛
I only wish that you had hours of this to share. I drove semi for years and the sound of the diesel can sure put me to sleep.
Glad I found your channel. Great videos man and I do love me some good ASMR 👏🏽
Loved the video, stay safe and keep up the good work
Watchin on a 55" screen with phones on and it is like i am sitting in the Truck!🤘
Paying real close attention to him shifting. Just learning about shifting on one of these beast's
.
Thanks for the ride along
Fantastic, thank you sow much. ❤️❤️
I actually looked up "truck cab view in the rain" and found this video. No, I'm not a truck driver but sometimes driving can be relaxing.
I am a nearly 40 year old fully disabled combat veteran, I wish I had gotten into trucking after I got medically discharged from the military but my back problems prevented that, I have nothing but love and respect for them….they are quite literally THE BACKBONE OF THIS COUNTRY!!
I love these videos brother. Keep them coming! Fantastic entertainment😀
I remember riding with my dad when I was a kid and when it got late I use to sleep in the sleeper, best way I fell asleep was to the sound of a diesel motor and rain hitting the windshield
Next time you clean your windows and mirrors. After you dry them put rainex on them. U will be surprised. If you haven't used it sir. Have your light ribbon checked behind your gauges. It's awesome to see a young man. Drivin a Pete with a standard box and can float shift it.
This can looks so cozy
Ya know. Even if they don’t notice your wave, i like to think it wishes a bit of luck on them. So keep doing what you do. All the best!
I really enjoyed this Video! Thanks for sharing
And u are a Good trucker driver 2 bro straight facts and I will always totally support u all da way home bro
Nice man! I like videos like these! Keep making videos like those man! God Bless you! I'm am preparing to be a drive-in USA.
Wow! I thought I was the only one using low to start out. My clutch will last forever! And I even saw him splitting a couple of low range gears. I split 'em all coming out of the mud bog bush with a load of logs. If you got a 13 speed you got to crawl all the way out in low or first gear. Give me an 18 speed any day.
im really love engine start
Sounds so badass! Love it
Ahhhhhhhh….great drive….professional…reminds of Dallas fort worth
A lot of rain, very good video ..
That’s cozy!
love the sound of that jakes
Helped me get some much needed sleep through the fireworks tonight. Such a great idea and unique use of a trucking CZcams channel. 🤘
I can listen 2 dis engine purr all day!!!!

Did you get your cdl?
I like how you start the video from cranking the engine while most of similar videos start with engine is already in idle. Greetings from Japan.
this is very beautiful,, I love the Rain,, I just liked, and subscribed. :)
I totally love da way your truck sounds and I totally support u all da way home bro straight facts and u be safe out on da highway bro
Driving for ATS out of St Cloud, mn years ago in a Freightliner condo (old fl150 if I remember model numbers right). The rain hitting the fiberglass roof... I had to pull over and and it out sometimes.
I love your truck. I hope when I get my cdl, I can drive one of those.
Really good view ❤️
The truck looks nice, greetings from Turkey, good luck.
Nice video man. I just random clicked on this video and noticed you were in my neck of the woods lol, small world take care.
Used to deliver bottled water to Unilock and other businesses in the area. Probably wouldn't have noticed just skimming the video, but someone time-stamped the Ajax paving truck (also delivered to their lab down the street).
Love this
Amazing.
Nice interior.
I really dig your content! I have a couple hundred hours into ATS and want to get behind the wheel of a 379/389 someday. Thanks for keeping me entertained.
a boy with a dream called 389 its me
Same here!
Amazing video
You remind me when I was young. "Keep in-between the stitches and out of the ditches". Catch ya on the flippy. Whoop Whoop..
😉The best trailer sound! ️👍
😅 But it's raining ...
My cat binge listens to these 😂
nice truck man rock on
Came across my page, now I’m subscribed 👍🏽
Son, you made an old woman's heart happy.❤❤😊😊
Be well. Be happy.
Load up a longer one
Light rain, you driving, me?? Fast asleep.🫠🫠
Now that is a big dashboard
Been on this stretch of highway so much, usually take it when I'm coming back from the U.P. I75 is more direct but I like taking US 127 better until I get to 96. Hell, I've probably drove by you at some point!
Do I notice a CB? A MACK truck pin on the hood?! And so friendly. ❤❤❤❤
Very cool to see how trucks like this work. I always wondered, and I’m visualizing all the sounds I’ve heard before with these trucks. 😄
This was a fantastic video.
I love compression braking.
I live near our pacific highway.
Hi from East coast Australia
Need to raise that seat some lol
Very cool.
I don't know how you are able to see over that huge dash board 😂
Awesome greetings from India
I love your video are the best man miles
It's Because of you I now also wave at truck drivers, dunno why 😂🌊
Hello good fellow, thanks for this ride along that you have invited us on, loved being with you in the cab hauling heavy in the rain, my favorite environment to drive a big rig; cold rainy out, worm and cozy in the cab with the drone of the big diesel engine giving you plenty of company!
I believe I saw you on Monday in Ontario. nice rig keep up the great work.
Monday I was... 401 east through Toronto for delivery, then up highway 12 to reload, and down 400sb and 401wb. Do you recall where?? Lol
Drumbo. I was in at the truck stop last week and swear I saw you then too. I drive a black 18 Silverado Ill stop by and say hi one of these days.
@@noahkennedy5947 oh yeah I’m there fairly often
Very very smooth gear shifting, shows your expertise. Which tractor are you using? When you have a full load, what is the fuel efficiency? I like that small steering wheel. It looks really good
4:18 Lots and lots of axles on that trailer
I like his truck
american truck sim come a long way the last time i played it
Im watching this and im like this is definitely canadian roads, more noticeably ontario.
Holy smokes that live bottom have enough axles under it. Dont see that everyday.
I got a double loads heavy heavy rain roads are slick I hate that when that oil is right on top of that road when it starts to rain it's kind of like the worst scenario
awww yisss
