MASSIVE FINDINGS Our thoroughly developed OTL front mount intercooler impressed all of us at the shop this week! We went head to head VS the stock GRC intercooler and absolutely blew it out of the water. The difference is huge and it’s real! We tested the two intercoolers on a bone stock GRC with NO TUNING while data logging through one of our Haltech elite 1500 ecu’s. Outside air temp was 55 degrees Fahrenheit and our dyno fans were on the same settings for each pull. We also did 3 back to back pulls to get it nice and hot but to also find an average. We know from testing this car in the past that heat soak is a big issue, we’ve noticed doing consecutive pulls the HP number kept decreasing with the stock FMIC. To compare this to a real life scenario think of it as losing power going into lap 2 or 3 of your track day. However with our new intercooler that was not the case at all, it actually increased in power with each pull. Our cold side actually never went above 70 degrees Fahrenheit while the oem FMIC touched 140! This proves in itself you will be able to run longer cooler track days without worrying about making less power!

Did this intercooler impact (positive or negative) throttle response and the onset of boost?

At those power levels, did you do valves springs already? I know those and clutch seem to help weak points
When we do our clutch job (which is soon) we will be also doing headwork!

@@nicrandazzo758we’ve done roughly 30 power pulls on the dyno at this power level as well as a lot of street driving! The clutch is definitely soft on this car so that will be the first priority but since we’re that deep into the motor we will be doing headstuds and valve springs ect
