I love all your content but for the sake of discussion, I think expecting men to pay and take charge without having that conversation with them first is not fair. Especially today where women want to be treated as equals, most men are going to have that in mind. So when you asked him “should you go first” he probably took that as a que that YOU wanted to pay separately. It maybe would have been better to be more straight forward and ask “are you paying?” The way you asked him kind of set him up for failure and it’s not fair to say that’s a red flag. Again, I love you and this isn’t hate, just continuing the discussion!
I totally get you! you learn as you go and I probably would have handled the situation differently now but I was just going off of the moment. I didn’t go into the situation purposefully testing him, it just came up when we were next in line because I wasn’t sure what to do! I do think “are you paying” would have been the more straightforward thing to say, but again it was just in the moment and that’s why I brought it up after and we talked about it. but we all learn from these experiences haha

Absolutely nothing wrong with wanting the person your dating to pay and be the one to Initiate things, I just think that’s an important conversation to have with them before going out on a date so you both know what to expect and so you don’t end up wasting your time!
