Awesome video, love the thorough instructions. Working on this project today as a (mostly novice) handyman and new homeowner, so I really appreciate the time you took to explain and show each step of the process! Now, to work...

We are doing a similar project and have only done tile on floors before. We have removed the tile and are replacing the drywall. Can we cut the old drywall right under the cabinets using the bottom of the cabinet as a cut guide, and right at the level of the countertop and eliminate the need for the tape and mud where we have upper cabinets? I noticed that you used tape and mud on a seam under the cabinets, but not at the countertop level. Can you clarify why?

Hate to be that guy, but a reciprocating saw is basically what we call a sawzall. What you are using is commonly referred to as a multitool, or an oscillating saw. As for the actual job. Might want to try using a heat gun on the tile, for awhile. When the glue is melted, the tile should come off fairly easy.

When tile is secured with the more commercial grade glue like “ Acrylpro adhesive” does it make removing tile more difficult or it’s all basically the same amount of effort?
    Thx

Why are you unable to tile over drywall with torn paper?
