Old Jazz fan. And a huge Gobert fan. Something not mentioned was the amount of times Joe Ingles and Gobert did PnR plays together. One of the their most frequent PnR combos. Which is great. Something that they couldnt do offensively was put Anderson and Gobert on the court together because of their inability to shoot. So just think of the newly acquire gravity, and the playmaking ability Ingles has. Not to mention he has amazing chemistry not only between him and Gobert. But Mike Conley as well. Next thing about Ingles is he's another crowd pleaser, chemistry booster within unlocking Gobert offensive play, and he's a top 10 trash talker. This is great news. Ingles and Ant will be unbelievable at getting inside opponents heads.
I am somewhat sad to see KA leave bc on defense he was a true swiss army knife. His steal rate was high, caused a lot of turnovers and could switch on 4 sometimes 5 positions.
On offense though he was a liability. Yes he could distribute but him being on the court could allows his defender to cheat off of him and help in the paint. There are several times in the game ANT would attack the paint with several guys waiting for him in the paint, KA's defender most notably.
i'm really excited to see at times Ingles and NAW together on the court. We've never had 2 capable wing shooters on the court at the same time. That should help boost our offensive ratings.

I think the rotation will be mc,ant,jaden,kat,Rudy with dilly,naw,Ingles, naz with one of Shannon, Miller, dozier,Garza being the 10th guy depending on matchups or whoever plays the best thru preseason and camp. Wouldn't be shocked to see most the young guys minus dilly spend alot of time in Iowa this year as of now I lean towards Shannon being the 10th guy because of his defense & he's good at getting to the rim at least in college . I could see Clark earning minutes also I he can be a okay shooter while having the elite defense he played in college translate. Wouldn't say he's got a good chance tho
You have to have a guy who can run the offense, but in the end, it's all about individual matchups. I still think the Wolves match up well with the most teams in the NBA. They have a lot of versatile players, especially on defense. The only thing missing was another pure scorer when Ant is on the bench. Towns should never have that role because he tends to force things. I'm hopeful Dillingham will fit that role, but I am reserved since he's so young.

ingles on a one year veteran minumum deal. he could be a cut at any time they arent playing him over a hot rookie
I believe tsj would take Jaden McDaniels role a little bit worse defensively but a way better offensive player
Ingles will probably start out in that slo mo role while dilly is the backup pg . Not sure Shannon starts out in the rotation gonna have to earn it over other young guys but could see him winning the finch over with defense . Honestly don't think minott even has a chance barring injury. Same with Miller he's gonna have to of gotten alot better for finch to play him now that Garza on a guaranteed deal would be shocked if he gets run at backup center & Naz is more of a backup pg . Can't see finch playing more then 3 rookies/ young guys who are pretty much rookies with how little meaningful minutes they have played
Man Ingles at times is unplayable on defense. I mean he's legendary bad on defense lol
His minutes have to come only with Rudy to protect him as much as possible plus they have excellent offensive chemistry. Hopefully Shannon earns that spot, but Ingles is solid insurance policy
He was a pretty decent defender in his prime. Borderline good. But you can hide players like that on a good defensive team.
@@mdiggler he was among the worst in the NBA last year, which is fine if he’s at the 3 with Naz and Rudy, or the 4 between Jaden and Rudy. He was brought in to fit offensively with Rudy so that shouldn’t be a worry cause their minutes will be matched together
@jondykstra6190 Yeah, he wasn't good, on a much worse defensive team. That's the point I just made about hiding that on a good defensive team. I was really just responding to your comment about it being "legendary" bad. It's a pretty new development in his career. Hardly legend.
@@mdigglernah he shot 44% from 3. KA not doing that. Dude took down okc with pg and ish by himself 😂. Yer trippin if you don’t think the help man has to go to the rim now. You can leave KA open, you cannot leave the YWCA 🐐 open at the three. Plus he another lefty. That’s 6 and counting. Most in the league and that matters.

I totally disagree with you Ben. T.Shannon Jr. Already has great offensive skills, but is 6"6" and has upside on defense.....instead of being a almost automatic defensive liability like Dillingham. TSJ will be the 8-9th guy off the bench.
I have the feeling he will bust, but I hope I'm wrong.

I know you enjoy crapping on SloMo, but man your comp is really bad. Ingles is a better shooter, much better shooter, but then you can stop. SloMo is a much better defender, actual playmaking vision. Yes he has his flaws but SloMo is being gaslighted in your review. He is not a better passer. Why do you hate Kyle?
Assuming Dilly, the top 8 are set. But the kids - Miller, Minot, TJ, Clark- could all get a shot at the 9th. Ingles is in the Troy Brown Jr role. But miller and Minot will get the chance to take those minutes at the 3/4. I also wouldn’t assume TJ beats out Clark (if healthy) or Miller/Minot. He isn’t as big if you look at his reach and wingspan. He needs to learn to play a role and that will be tough.
Attempting to rest Rudy, MC, Ingles and even KAT, to keep fresh for the playoffs, will mean there is a chance for the four pups to prove they belong.
Ingles - Career 3.6 APG... Slo-Mo - Career 2.8 APG
Ingles is the better passer. Slo-Mo had his two best years playmaking / passing while in Minnesota. Ingles could also thrive in a Minnesota playmaking role, as his best years playmaking were with Utah, passing to Rudy. Ingles best year was 5.7 APG.
