- Join as as we go on the hunt for Omilu (Bluefin Trevally) in Hawaii. Brandon creates an epic Gyotaku Japanese fish-print with the fish he caught shore fishing. Using that same fish, we create a tasty dish called Poisson cru with fresh coconut milk.

How do I get the print not to show brush marks. How did you get the yellow look so smooth. Mine looks so splotches.

How long do you make your rub line?
This spot is super rocky and shallow so I make it about 30ft. I used to run it short, about 10ft long, but took big strikes that cut me off on my braid above the rub line.

did you bleed the fish before the paint?
Hello! Yes this fish was bled to preserve quality, but gyotaku can also be done with fish that aren’t bled as well.
