I never towed a car in my life, probably never will.... but everyday I wake up, and I step out on my porch... I put my sunglasses on and say to myself, "it's a good day for yankin' some cars, it's what we do" and then I just get on with my day.

As a Texas resident, everyone should have a sticker on the front window. Even if it is expired. If he moved to GA, get the vehicle registered in GA. I think most States give you 30-days unless you are a temporary resident. Needs a GA license as well. I would have gotten it taken care of within the first two weeks!
Depending on when he bought the car in Texas... Some areas the DMV is not open. You can get your inspection done at private shops, but you can't get a sticker for a newly purchased car. They are telling us here.. don't worry about it. As long as you have insurance on the car . No problem. Although I wonder how he got the plate then?? Hmm. Something fishy. But if the car had been in Texas over the last year before Covid. Your correct it should have had the previous sticker.
California DMV has been closed for a long time my license expired in June still can’t get in to retest they say it’s good til 2021 now because I’m a senior also my registration is due this month (Oct) still haven’t received my renewal also I had my front plate stolen off my p/u in July all paperwork and payment sent in still nothing from DMV WHAT A MESS
GA gives you 2 weeks to change your license. They also charge TAVT which is 7% of the car's value when you transfer the title to GA so you can get the GA tags.
You can’t get the license plate in Texas without the windshield sticker. Unless it’s a new car it will expire in one year, the new cars will expire in two years.

There has been posts about people thinking it was faked/staged in the past. With that said, people with more than 2 brain cells know that's not the case, so the disclaimer (for anyone capable of understanding basic words) is redundant.
I have had some comments about being faked but I really directed that toward the many channels on youtube that are fake. They trick people just like tru tv. 90% staged content. Good day

I've been watching your videos for quite some time now and you do it great job , and even though you already have their vehicle loaded on your truck you do give the owners a chance to get you to drop it so they wouldn't be without a vehicle ! It amazes me how many of these cars that get towed are just extra/spare vehicles that are no longer needed/used. I don't understand why they don't just get rid of them, if I don't need something anymore I pass it along to someone that does instead of leaving it to sit and take up space.
Well, in the case of my wife and I, we have two cars but only use one regularly. My wife used to drive to an office every day, but started working from home last year because of the pandemic. Meanwhile, I still drive to work every day. My wife occasionally needs to drive somewhere while I have the other car, and she’s still probably going to end up going back to the office when the pandemic is over. So we’re not willing to sell one of our cars, because we occasionally need a second car, and we’d just end up buying another car later when she goes back to work. One of our cars just sits in the driveway for the most part, we drive it once every couple weeks.
You are doing what a on high alert tow truck driver should be doing, people can come out of no where at any time, with or with out a weapon, man or woman and if you are not on your game they can kill or hurt you, no one is typically nice when someone is towing off their vehicle even if they failed to do whatever is required to prevent towing. So to whoever is calling you out they are a fool and have no idea what life is about in the tow truckers world. Stay strong bro and keep doing what you do, hook cars.

I lived in gwinnett almost all my life and while yes there are some sketchy apartments were he tows some of the places he goes to is super lax its nothing compared to 10 to 15 years ago.
Gwinnett isn't as bad as it was 10 years ago its going thru gentrification right now. Some parts of Dekalb absolutely are bad but not as much and yea south Atlanta you need a bulletproof vest
Not as dangerous as a repo because (1) People have had notice, (2) They can get the car back for $175, (3) Probably half of the cars aren't wanted anyways.
Don’t take any of that negative talk about your being cautious. If they come out they don’t see the property owners (the actual people that want that vehicle towed) all they see is little old and that truck trying to take their property. You don’t know what their mind set is or how many persons may show up, all you’ve got is you and your ability try and reason with them. You can be the nicest most fair and honest person that ever lived, doing the correct and lawful thing and still find your self in danger!

As a brother Tow Trucker we always have to be on our toes. Keep your head on a swivel. I like how you keep your back to the truck while loading. Great position to see any threats coming. I keep a tire knocker handy 2' wood rod with a metal end. I may lose the fight but I guarantee somebody will join me at the hospital. Stay safe Brother

Merri M Texas for example has a sticker that is placed on the inside of the drivers side windshield. It has the license plate info on it as well the verify the sticker itself isn’t stolen. Virginia used windshield stickers too. Reduces theft.

In Texas, the registration sticker is on the driver's side of the windshield. It has the license plate of the car it is for printed on the sticker itself. Texas has not done the registration sticker on the license plate for many years.

When you call in to the DMV all you get is a voice message lol

The tow laws might be different , but all state required tags. They drove it from Texas with no tags!

In Texas, the registration sticker is on the driver's side of the windshield. It has the license plate of the car it is for printed on the sticker itself. Texas has not done the registration sticker on the license plate for many years.
