Possibly the best, fastest review of the best watch in the world……
Just saying…..👍
Talk about Perfection right here with this Seadweller
I have a submariner that I wore mostly but after buying this 43 my sub stays in the box and never looked back. Really like the feel on this piece and the bracelet fits really well.
This is the finest dive watch ever made. It represents horological perfection
Agreed mate!

All the information you’ll ever need on the timepiece efficiently presented. Great video thanks
Mine arrives tomorrow and I’m so nervously excited about it. Fell in love with my Panerai but this looks on a different level altogether.
Have had mine for 6 months. Love it! I took off the dive extension which is easy to do and it wears much nicer. 5:43
Best watch I own. Perfect size, and has everything you need and nothing you don’t.
+1 .
👍👍👍
Love your in-depth analysis of every nook, cranny and crevice on these pieces!
just purchase an SD43 Red recently and it has become my daily... Perfect watch...
It’s my everyday watch since last year , I’m in love with it

Super cool piece. Takes the Sub to the next level. Celebrates 50 years of dedication to developing the best possible saturation instrument. Possibly the best diver in the world. You do need wrists north of 6 3/4in or 17.5cm in circumference at least, the larger the better.
I'm making a 3-D model of this watch using Blender 3.3, so thank you for the excellent reference views and detailed information about the watch.
What is the bracelet width at the lugs? And what does it taper down to at the clasp? Thanks.
Tim would love to see you review the new 34mm OP you have in stock, the 124200! There’s quite a few significant changes I’m keen to see you cover
Own this and the BLNR... both spectacular!! But there is something special about this one... love it.
Another great video, Tim! Off topic but would you ever do a review of the Ginault Silent Service??
So informative! 👍
Absolutely fantastic
Bought it in May of 2019, never looked back. It’s a phenomenal watch.

Yes its a beauty I am buying an Omega Sea-master next week small pogoes I know compared to the Rolex.
I also have a watch with such an adjustable clasp.
I however personally prefer the old stamped metal one.
Tim, you have just showcased my one and only number one "Wish List" timepiece. No other brand, make or model just the Rolex Red Sea-Dweller SD43 126600 with date magnifier. Maybe some day!!!!!!
Beautiful watch and great video 👌💯
This watch brought me back to the Rolex brand after decades of shunning them. The size, adjustability, accuracy, durability, and overall quality won me over after being disappointed with a 14060 and 16600. The ceramic bezel, solid end links, and machined clasp with glidelock are worlds away from the Rolex of the 90s.
I have the SD43 and a full set 16600. If I must buy one then it should be the 16600” ?
The touch of red on the dial makes a big difference to me.
Bought mine January 02, 2021 and my wife bought one too to celebrate our 25 years wedding anniversary coming up. Best watch ever and my wrist only measures 6.5 inches. It looks good and it’s gorgeous

Big watch small wrist mate
@@dirkdiggler79906.5 is a tiny wrist
Wow! I love that!
Picking one up friday!
My favourite modern Rolex!
Quick question. Could someone confirm if the SD43 would need extra links for a 24cm wrist. Thanks in advance
The best diver Rolex has ever made
Absolutely my favourite Rolex diver
PERFECT WATCH ALL AROUND, especially the size. i'd wear it anytime any day. i find the 40mm too small for my taste. . the other Rolex models i care about are the sky dweller and THE explorer II that both happen to be 42mms.
thanks Tim.
beautiful watch
Should I sell my full sell 16600 t
Just got mine today .. it is SPECTACULAR
I actually also have this as my everyday "tool" watch. I'm using the bezel to time things and the cyclops is actually useful (imho). When i need something more flashy, i wear my 116613lb Sub and for loungin' around in my free time i have the 116622 yacht master (platinum dial). That's my small collection.

Wow, I have an almost identical collection! YM pt dial 116622, SD43 126600, Sub41 TT Bluesy 126613lb. What are the odds? Nice trio 😁.
Beautiful, 43 mm perfectly proportional on the wrist, and the lens of the days is very beautiful
Today bought ❤❤❤!! I love it !
Remove the extension and it will fit well on an average size wrist. This filled the void from selling my sub a few years ago to pay some bills, but blessed to be on the up and up!
Just picked one up last night from my AD. Amazing piece!
Got it this last week loving it

Picking up mine next week from Rolex shop. Had to wait only 2 weeks! Can’t wait. Next one will be GMT master 2 rose gold for me !
Get mine tomorrow
i just got one from the AD, it's fantastic.
I have an older seadweller, how long has it had a bubble on the date ? Not noticed it before.
@Lee , if you can find one
My favorite Rolex. Just picked this up over the weekend. It’s perfect.

@@danielpowers2413 how long were you on a waitlist or do you have a good relationship with a retailer? Do you wear everyday?
Also, do you mind sharing your wrist size or height? Curious how big the watch is and if it’s too big for me. I’m 5’10” 150lbs so might be too big for me.
Congrats!
Please Rolex bring back the 40mm Seadweller!
I too own this watch. It has been continuously on my wrist since purchased six months ago. Love it!

Thanks!
I do like the dash of red but the size is a tad too large I feel.
This one of the deep sea jc ?
As an owner of this exact SD43, i suggest you bring a wide wrist ;-)
Circumference doesn't tell the whole story. There's a huge difference between almost round vs very oval wrists, both the same circumference.
The watch as such is really cool. But be aware of the really sharp edges of the bezel.
If it does not have to be a Rolex, you'll find a great alternative in the Omega Seamster Professional 300M. It's dial - and movement beats the Rolex all day long.
But still - the Rolex is an icon, much more than the sum of its parts.
Nope!
Nice
I have an exactly 7-inch wrist, how would this fit me?
I have a 7.25 and it looks good. It’s beefy, but not as bulky as the Tudor BB. Even though its case goes down into your wrist, it doesn’t dig or feel uncomfortable at all. I will say you should wear it more snug as it has heft that can rub your wrist bone if you wear in on the bone. Compared to the 2020 sub, it’s got a nice presence without being as flashy as the sub (I guess it’s the lacquered dial)
Had this watch for over 1 year now every time i wear it puts a smile on my face wear it out once a week without fail. Got a nice weight feeling on wrist. Initially bought to put in a safe but soon realised this belongs on the wrist. Watch it self is faultless wont be selling this one!!
Got mine end of November 2020, love this watch. Completes my Exp II Polar so well.
Same combo meal deal for me too.

@@the1916companywatchreviews I’ve got mine brand new from my AD at retail, not over your website. So I can’t say anything to the, for sure perfect, shopping experience with WB.
Could just say that I love this gorgeous timepiece. If that’s ok, I can write some lines.... 😉
What's rhe difference between Swiss movement and automatic?
The difference is very subtle. One is made in Geneve and the other one by Rolex.
The Swiss movement is quartz. The Rolex movement isn’t but requires a new battery and annual flushing and cleaning.
@@davidofglenbrook4487 🤣🤣🤣
The best diver's watch!!!!!!
I'm surprised you didn't mention the cyclops.
Perfect diver sans cyclops. When I get it, I will ask Rolex to get rid of the cyclops.
Great review.
Whoever took off the bracelet must have used gardening shears. Ouch! Love the SD43. It’s been one I’ve longed after for a few years
great review
Can’t decide between this and the d-blue
I had the same problem I thought I wanted the deep blue. But after trying both I just had to have the SD43 I have an 8.5 inch wrist and the sea dweller just wears better
I have an 8 inch wrist. I need to go try them on.
I have an 8 wrist and wear this with a rubber b with clasp and is perfection, looks just as big as a deep sea when looking at it top down and wears more comfortably b/c not as thick, best for everyday use
Waiting on the call from my AD for one of these. And waiting.......!
The best
I was a saturation diver in the North Sea for twenty-three years and never wore a watch while in the water, and can't remember seeing anyone who did, although there will have been some that did, I just asked the surface how long I had left. I remember when I first started, Comex was selling to their divers Rolex's at £600, I didn't want to part with that dosh. The only people who have Rolex "Diving watches" are celebrity cooks.
One of the more inaccurate or less educated comments I have read...wake up
Great piece. Pops on the wrist more than a Sub without being too big as long as you don’t have wimpy wrists.
Just picked up this guy today after three weeks on the waiting list. What a great watch! Sadly, it will never see the sea...
Much better than a Glashutte Original
I’m saving my money for this. All I need to do is make a phone call and my AD will help me get one within a few months hopefully 🤞🏽
Few years you meant lol 😂
I was able to get mine in 5 months just in time before my wedding
Beautiful 👏 Wow
Nice.... The 116600 was SD's finest hour for size, aesthetic and iteration for me, and no date on this watch Rolex please, it never had one before! Nicely presented Tim..as always 👍
I agree with the 116600 as I am lucky enough to have one myself :) However SD’s do have dates they just don’t usually have the cyclops lens like in this iteration. I’m assuming that’s what you meant, cheers!
@@whitepony101 That's correct, it is what I was saying whilst spinning plates, so to speak! That's a fantastic watch, and becoming more valuable by the day. Enjoy your watches in good health 👍
@@mannixj5186 Ah makes sense! Haha, well thank you my friend and I’m glad you’re busy in a time like this! ✌🏽
904 steel is harder
Interesting comment about it being intended for “smaller wrist’s despite its size”; care to expound?
Still waiting on this…. Been 9 months😒
Shame its so big, love the red writing. Wht didnt they do that on the 40mm - and the cyclops? That made the older models unique, the lack off. Now it just looks like a sub
Not a bad watch
How is the Rolex escapement more durable than the Omega/Daniels co-axial?
Edit: one of Tim's better more detailed reviews...but still short of the godly original "Vs" series episodes :)
How is it more durable, The co-axial produces less friction hence require less service. Rolex escapement is the same as any other mechanical movement escapement.
Accuracy?
His review is very accurate.
I liked it so much I have 2 of the same 🤣
i bought this one, then sold it for the 116600, couldnt get used to the cyclops on the SD43
It's a real shame, the cyclops is the only thing ruining this watch for me.
hello watchbox is it anti meg?
Ahh.. my grailed watch
Heck no, you want a beautiful divers watch get an ORIS AQUIS CHRONOGRAPH at the fraction of the price , much much nicer watch, I own them both.
One of my BIGGEST pet peeves I have about watch enthusiasts are the really really wealthy people that say: all Rolexes look the same. This drives me crazy. A Seadweller looks nothing like a DateJust etc etc etc.
I think these clowns needs their eyes checked.
$11,700 for a Seadweller vs $6550 for Omega Planet Ocean and that’s before the discount you will get from an AD. So is the so called brand recognition of Rolex and any other features really worth spending almost $7000 more?
Omegas PO case sizing and lugs sucks and it's HE valve is isn't as nicely integrated. Some POs are unwearable with how thick they are. Besides the AT, Omega really suffers from oversized cases and movements. The SD43s lugs are short and it fits very well even on smaller wrists despite its 43mm case. I've handled both and own the the SD43. The fit and finish details are definitely superior on the SD, Rolex really knows how to make steel pop.
Is it $7000 better? Well that depends. With all things luxury you pay exponentially more for marginal gains, but that is just the world of luxury. It all depends what you value. Luxury watches are all about the subjective intangibles.
You also mention brand recognition, which ironically could very well justify the $7000 price hike given its Rolex's brand that helps it maintain it's value. So you "spend" more, but your cash value doesn't disappear as soon as you walk out the door.
Why does it feel like you are wearing a facial mask when you are doing these videos?
A sine qua non addition to anyone's collection.
Hate the cyclops, I’ll keep my deep sea blue
116600 craps on this. Market agrees. Looks like something a ken doll would wear
hublow is king!!! 👑👑👑👑👑
Mass produced junk from Geneva .... My AP, RO, OS, LE is better ....
At least Rolex didn't make a Marvel Black Panther watch 😁
Good luck taking them out of your safe and not getting any water on them ;)
