I hope for you a speedy recovery. As for me, I got symptoms for COVID on January 17 and tested positive the next day. My symptoms were mild; headache, chills, fatigue, and nausea. They subsided after 5 days, and the following days mainly consisted of me having shortness of breath. @@briannabeleford1010 also I think many people are not testing thinking it’s a regular cold. My husband was sick 3 days before we thought about testing for Covid. We had recently recovered from a common cold and we thought it just came back. We tested then and we were negative. But when he said he couldn’t smell , I suggested taking the test and sure enough. Also mentioned to a family member we got Covid and that person said that he was feeling off too. Decided to test after I told him we had Covid and sure enough he tested positive too. If I hadn’t mentioned it, he never would have tested and kept going to work.
This is my seventh day after testing positive and actually 9th day after experiencing my first symptom but I still have a bad, dry cough and nasal congestion. I also get a little breathless when doing physical activity. I really cannot wait to go back to my normal, healthy self. 😟
Honestly everyone please even if you feel like these things don’t matter and Covid can still spread… wear your masks, wash your hands frequently, change out of dirty clothes and shower, & keep your distance as much as you can. It’s ppl out here who really care & have babies. I’m so scared for my little baby. We live with family who don’t really care as much as I do for the sake of my baby. And monkey pox is getting closer and closer… I’m so ready for my husband to come get us so we can be on base & in our own home. Pls be careful y’all and stay safe…
This is my 6th day with Covid-19. My body feels so bad. While I was said to remain in isolation for 7 days. I bet this is going to be a larger journey. Because I don't feel like getting better anytime soon. My body, mind, and soul is tired of feeling sick. Lord, have mercy! 😩☹️
We have been fasting which is easy since we aren't hungry right now. Keeping meals light and mostly protein so we can take our supplements. I think we feel better doing this.
I had terrible 1day and a half. Pain was excruciating and had fever. After that I am as if nothing happened and just feel as if I am a bit tired. But I took ivermectin the first day and also zinc and vitamin c for the rest.
@@adk5997 I've been taking Dayquil, Singulair, Vitamin C, and Vitamin B12... I feel better, yet keep coughing a lot. And this is day 7, I'm still covid positive. And I also have 3 shots of the Pfizer vaccine.
In Singapore, you can resume normal life from self isolation on Day 7, regardless of ART results. It can be as early as within 3 days if ART is negative.
I tested positive and started to have symptoms. One day after me my husband showed symptoms but did not have strength to go get tested, he was vomiting, fever, rapid heart rate… about a week after we both continued to cough, and felt very weak. We both went to urgent care. He tested negative with all his symptoms, and I could definitely say his symptoms were worse than mine. I tested positive on pcr again. Not sure if any of these tests are reliable at all. I would say that this is nothing like any cold and everyone wear masks and do all you can to protect yourself. 4th week after I tested positive we both have severe fatigue and dry cough comes and goes.
get well soon i had tested positive a week ago with some symptoms and after three days i had zero symptoms. i felt very normal. but when i went today to test myself (after a week since last tested), i was still positive.
I'm a month out from being sick didn't test for first virus i got than only got two days in between getting sick with COVID and it's been over two weeks since COVID and a cough can that possibly make me still contagious? Oh and the fatigue is awful still not feeling even 50 percent of my energy
The misread, misinterpreted data shows that people are most contagious when they are asymptomatic, but this is really do to peoples behavior; believing that they aren’t sick and going about a normal social life. They are actually most contagious at peak viral load.
I had something a week ago when I tested positive for Covid on a take home test. It wasn’t the worst flu I got (the worst one was months ago… lasted 2 weeks and to be fully recovered took a month but I think it was the OG Covid and I didn’t have a test to confirm). So I’m on day 10 now if this current whatever and have had two negative take home tests days apart. I’m just wondering if I could still potentially spread it (I have a cough or sneeze here or there) and someone in my household is still testing positive for it.
it’s my 8th-9th day n i’m still testing positive 😢 but i have zero symptoms and haven’t for about 5 days now. the first few days my head hurt sooooo bad. felt like my brain and eyeballs were gonna explode. never developed a fever tho. and only slight congestion/crunchy cough 😅 oh and i now can’t smell or rly taste anything. my sister has covid over a year ago and STILL can barely smell or taste. going to buy some essential oils tomorrow and try and do some stuff with them to bring back my smell 🤞🏼
Yes I'm in a recovery program! I was diagnosed about 5 days with covid . GREETINGS FROM CAMP COVID 2022 there are 3 others with me .My test was done January 31 .we are all still sick 😫 I don't how we are not still contagious! Please go back previous quarantine and isolation guidelines! This will get bad , worse than before and people will not only get it but will die. If they want us to go to groups and meetings in the next couple of days everyone here runs the real risk if getting covid ! This is not like a little cold that's magically goes away. I've never been sick like this I'm 50 and it's the worst.
Day 6 here of COVID-19. I'm unvaccinated. Symptoms started Wed. of last week with nausea and chills, by Thursday morning it was full blown...headache, fever, chills, nausea, leg pain that was unbearable, my teeth hurt...called the Dr that morning and was put on Hydroxychloroquin, steroids, and antibiotics. By Friday afternoon most of my symptoms improved. I am fever free 48 hrs, but still feel like I have a head cold. Sometimes I get shortness of breath. I also lost 9 pounds. I lost sense of smell but not taste. I am still testing positive which is sad because I am anxious in my room. Praying for us all dealing with this beast of a plague. God will help us through.
God is helping us! I didn't get the vaccine either and I can tell you I believe I did the right thing. My sister had Covid before her shot and after. She was more sick with the shot. Every new variant is dying down more if you don't have underlying issues. I just tested positive 8/31/22 and it's 9/4/22 today. Yes it sucked bad the first 48 hours, but we are on the mend and it was flu like symptoms, but was less time then the flu we had in March. I'm just going to keep praying on it 🙏
ok so i got covid but i felt sick for two days i feel completely fine now with no symptoms but a positive test , i have two jobs and school to get back too and idk what to do
My only symptoms were fatigue, sweats, and throat was irritated. By the third day I was just tired. I could have easily done my job if I wasn't isolated due to the virus.
So many people are up in arms about the 5 day thing. I'm not vaccinated and I'm on day 4. I definitely don't need 10 days. I feel like I could go back to work fine with the lingering effects. You know like we used to before covid. You still went in sniffling. HOWEVER that's not to say we should all go after just 5 days because our kids need more rest and even us sometimes, but most people are on the mend by then and can go if they chose too. When it was 10 days then everyone was complaining about pay. It's really a lose lose situation
I tested positive Friday felt like I was getting the flu I did at home test negative went Dr next day was positive.Todays Sunday and I'm still so tired aching terrible headaches, how long before I'm better.
Me and my Son lives with someone who started showing symptoms 9 days ago and tested positive. So far Neither me or my Son have had ANY symptoms and both of us tested negative. We all quarantined together and I took care of my friend the whole time ! It’s been nine days and my friend is showing improvement now. She still has a slight cough but much better than what I saw her go through in the beginning. So my question is since me and my Son were exposed and never got it what does that mean?!?!? 🤔

I am pulling for you. I’m a 39 year old man and I’m just now starting to feel normal again after 17 days. Drink lots of water. Take some Zinc. And lay on your stomach as much as you can. I had absolutely debilitating vertigo and dizziness. I hope you don’t have that. Sorry about the kids situation. I have a 9 year old and a 12 year old and it was rough. If you have the devices for it, try FaceTime calls so they can see you and y’all can talk. Also. Try to make it to a chair outside for at least 15 minutes a day so you can get a good natural dose of vitamin D. Also, try to walk around whenever you can. Laying on your back and staying still too long can exacerbate the lung issues. If you don’t have one, get yourself a pulse oximeter. There’s one that cost less than $20 made by a company called Contec and they meet FDA standards. Check your oxygen levels and make sure you contact a doctor if your levels get below 94 and stay that way for any extended period of time. My heart goes out to you. Something about your post just made me think about everything I just went through with my family. Stay positive and good luck! Would love to see a post once you get through it! TAKE CARE

With the type of job I have, since the very beginning, I have not got covid. They say it's crazy how I havent caught (good immune system I guess). Tuesday, I was off from work but still feelin weird. Slowly tuesday, my head steadily started to ache. No bigge...I go to sleep I kept waking up thru out the night throwing up and my headache was so bad it felt like a migrane and if I moved a lil bit, it felt like the room was spinning. Wedsday...had to go to work feeling like crap. The car drive to work was impossible; I almost recked like 5 times. At work, I had no energy. My head was hurting, I couldnt eat anything, and I noticed I had chills (that's never a good thing for me). I fell alseep at a table for 45 mins, got up and ended up passing out in a storage area for over an hr. Today, had no choice but to stay home from work because of a the fever. I went a bought a covid test just to see and would know...the test line came up so fast. I thought I was immune for the rona. Guess not. Sad thing is, I Know I'm about to get a bunch of people sick because I have to go to work.

Day 1: headache, body ache, chills, throat tickling, coughing Day 2: headache, chills, cold sweat, sinuses being weird Day 3: headache, cold sweat, mild loss of smell Day 4: cold sweat (all day), mild coughing, loss of smell Day 5: loss of smell, a lot of throat clearing The headaches weren’t debilitating. They were kinda annoying at most. I think I was very lucky since my symptoms were all very mild. I still functioned normally, just wore a jacket in 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

PCR tests often remain positive for a long time after someone recovers from covid and is no longer contagious so it is recommended to use a rapid test to determine when you can leave quarantine.

And then they stand around scratching their heads wondering why our workforce is diminishing.
The headache.
This is my seventh day after testing positive and actually 9th day after experiencing my first symptom but I still have a bad, dry cough and nasal congestion. I also get a little breathless when doing physical activity. I really cannot wait to go back to my normal, healthy self. 😟
I hope that you are drinking lots water and giving yourself time to heal,
Sounds like they only shortened quarantine time for economic reasons.
I'd prefer if they cited their sources in the description, so that I can go read it.
Praying for you Mari, you’ll get through this.
May God grant you the healing grace 🙏
Stay safe everyone ✍🏽
Praying for you guys
@@konethiasmith2463 thank you 🙏

i had tested positive a week ago with some symptoms and after three days i had zero symptoms. i felt very normal.
but when i went today to test myself (after a week since last tested), i was still positive.
Sounds like you have entered into long Covid if it's still affecting you.
I would say get away from that dude, he's not helping matters
I'm a month out from being sick didn't test for first virus i got than only got two days in between getting sick with COVID and it's been over two weeks since COVID and a cough can that possibly make me still contagious? Oh and the fatigue is awful still not feeling even 50 percent of my energy
The misread, misinterpreted data shows that people are most contagious when they are asymptomatic, but this is really do to peoples behavior; believing that they aren’t sick and going about a normal social life. They are actually most contagious at peak viral load.
Of course you can still be contagious after 5 days… how is this news?
The problem is...it has never been studied. We should know the answer, but all we get is a bunch of double talk.
Short answer YES
it’s my 8th-9th day n i’m still testing positive 😢 but i have zero symptoms and haven’t for about 5 days now. the first few days my head hurt sooooo bad. felt like my brain and eyeballs were gonna explode. never developed a fever tho. and only slight congestion/crunchy cough 😅 oh and i now can’t smell or rly taste anything. my sister has covid over a year ago and STILL can barely smell or taste. going to buy some essential oils tomorrow and try and do some stuff with them to bring back my smell 🤞🏼
Im so sorry feel better
Primaries 2022, all we need to know.
It was 10 days last year this year 5 days is the PC time.
I had to qurantine 23 days ,before I finally tested negative
God will heal us Amen 🙏🏼
God is helping us! I didn't get the vaccine either and I can tell you I believe I did the right thing. My sister had Covid before her shot and after. She was more sick with the shot. Every new variant is dying down more if you don't have underlying issues. I just tested positive 8/31/22 and it's 9/4/22 today. Yes it sucked bad the first 48 hours, but we are on the mend and it was flu like symptoms, but was less time then the flu we had in March. I'm just going to keep praying on it 🙏
@@center-of-it-allllc5119 it took me about 3 weeks to feel better.
what is the conclusion?
ok so i got covid but i felt sick for two days i feel completely fine now with no symptoms but a positive test , i have two jobs and school to get back too and idk what to do
My only symptoms were fatigue, sweats, and throat was irritated. By the third day I was just tired.
I could have easily done my job if I wasn't isolated due to the virus.
I have it now forth day never felt so ill in all my life 😷
This is ridiculous.
But your still
Contagious 😷
How many days until you tested negative?
So no one know?
Me and my Son lives with someone who started showing symptoms 9 days ago and tested positive. So far Neither me or my Son have had ANY symptoms and both of us tested negative. We all quarantined together and I took care of my friend the whole time ! It’s been nine days and my friend is showing improvement now. She still has a slight cough but much better than what I saw her go through in the beginning. So my question is since me and my Son were exposed and never got it what does that mean?!?!? 🤔
It means you have a strong immune system, I was in the same chair. Until last weekend I went out dancing for the first time in years, stress of school deadlines, alcohol among other things compromised my immune response and got sick instantly this Monday, now on day 8 of recovering. haven't been sick in 8+ years from anything and countless covid exposures. it comes down to taking care of your body at the end of the day
Im on day 6 but it's really been different every single day.
Day1: sore throat and extremely tired
Day2: very bad headache, couldn't get comfortable at all. Toss and turned all night. Slight fever, congested
Day3: headache, body aches, hot and cold almost at the same time, smell was different, slight cough, congested
Day4: coughing, aches and no smell, congested
Day5: coughing, no smell ,diarrhea
Day6: no smell, fever's back, diarrhea, body aches all over
damn .. I got covid right now too. I just have a small cough, and feel tired and my smell hasn't returned yet. It's gonna be like 8 days for me and my tests is still showing that I am positive.
@@lamujermaslinda I'm on day 8 , test still positive. Still no smell. Today was a little better than yesterday. Yesterday I had to do breathing treatments for my asthma. Hopefully the worst is over. I made it the entire two years with out catching it, but recently had to have contractors come in and boom I'm sick. Hope you feel better, this has been hard on me.
@@preciousloveslopez Damn girl I hope you make a speedy recovery. It sounds like you will get better soon tho. That's me too ,for two years, I was able to escape from this virus and I legit thought ok I don't need to worry so much anymore and at one point I thought maybe it's just something that the media has created but nope it's real and we have to live with it. Eventually, everyone will get it so I just hope that people will take it more seriously and wash their hands more often and learn to cough in their arm. Also stay home when you're not feeling well. Like in your case, that contractor should have stayed home. I hope you get better soon.

I am confused now my husband tested positive the beginning of January 2022 and I was exposed to him and our kids me and my kids tested negative twice my last negative test was January 15 2022 and I already had symptoms prior to the second test my symptoms were one week of having them and I still tested negative so my doctor said I probably had a cold or flu and my husband re tested on January 17 and he was negative already so Thursday I was feeling sick I went to the emergency room and they tested me and guess what I was positive so now I don’t know how long will I be contagious from now on they told me to self isolate for 5 days witch I have been doing but with a 7 year old and 5 year old it’s really hard to have them stay away from me because they are so attached to me and I explained to them over the other side of door that I am sick but they don’t understand that they just want their mommy back I want this to end already 😢😖

I got vaccinated 3 times. I got Covid. It passed like a mild cold.
Day 1: headache, body ache, chills, throat tickling, coughing
Day 2: headache, chills, cold sweat, sinuses being weird
Day 3: headache, cold sweat, mild loss of smell
Day 4: cold sweat (all day), mild coughing, loss of smell
Day 5: loss of smell, a lot of throat clearing
The headaches weren’t debilitating. They were kinda annoying at most. I think I was very lucky since my symptoms were all very mild. I still functioned normally, just wore a jacket in 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
How are you feeling now? I just tested positive today. I have a sore throat, stuffy nose (only on one side). Headache, and chills, along with muscle aches.

20 days since first symptom, Now no symptoms except extreme fatigue and still covid positive, with latest one today (All PCR). There's so much unknown here.
PCR tests often remain positive for a long time after someone recovers from covid and is no longer contagious so it is recommended to use a rapid test to determine when you can leave quarantine.
