Who HASN'T had COVID yet?!
Well my husband and I were sick at the end of December with classic symptoms. We are both in our 40's unvaccinated. Tested negative three times on a rapid Binaxnow test. Didn't test again after day 5.
Then about three weeks ago I daily babysat my grandson and was riding in a car with my daughter who was covid positive and I didn't catch it from them and neither did my husband. My daughter is fully vaccinated and my grandson is 6mths old.
So maybe I did have it I'm not sure. 😆 I don't even know how I would find out at this point being so long ago.
@@RosemarieTM Antibody testing might give you an idea!
@@DrMitchRice how do I get an antibody?
@@yohangunasekara1581 I hope so too!
@@tmartinez1948 What do you mean?
Thank you for the video and answering my questions during my Covid journey
Thanks for tuning in! Feeling better?
Really great information! Answered questions I had!
Thanks Barb!!
You were awesome and very helpful thanks
Thanks for watching!
114 days positive with rapid antigen rat test.
No real symptoms, I'm very worried it may mutate or I have some underlying condition. Did blood test everything ok. All I want for Christmas is a negative test, I'm 40 years old.
Thanks
Did peple vith 3 x vakcine and covid positive then hawe more fast negative test when they get covid again?
No fingers , toes and 👀 eyes crossed 🤞 feeling of the last week. Did a rat test last week was negative. I don’t trust the rat test . Having pulmicort ( budesonide ) twice a day and nasal spray with budesonide . I’m not vaccinated and don’t plan to . I’m in Perth Australia 🇦🇺 and now we are getting more cases every day ... only 13 in hospital but not in ICU . Thanks 🙏 for your informed info and you sense of humor 🙏😘
Glad to hear you've been negative! Much love for Australia!!
How meny days you hawe positive test?
Funny as. 🐸 I think the world needs laughter at the moment.
Totally agree!
Are the guidelines accurate though? And what about people with chronic illnesses and immune problems. I've heard that we can stay infectious longer as we can't fight it as easily... so what's true and what's just "guidelines" that make it easier for the government and business to get back to normal and not have to pay out to support people who are positive on rapid tests? A lot of sources suggest that as long as you're positive on a LFT you are contagious. I wish the information wasn't so conflicting.
Dr Rice, I just got Covid19. Im doing RTK ag test 3 days in row, first - negative, second - negative and third - positive. Today is my fifth day quarantine after positive , if i doing RTK ag test again and i get negative result... Is that means im not contagious anymore?
Usually not contagious after 3-8 days or so when you first get COVID. There's no need to test anymore. If you're symptom free after the quarantine period, you can go about normal life :)
Wow! I had it a month and half ago 😳
Doing better?
I'm hoping you can help
I'm 40 relatively healthy ive been testing positive with rapid tests for 7 weeks
I had some lung congestion and symtoms, which I no longer have.
I dont think this is normal and paxlovid is avaible here and I certainly dont want the virus to relapse as its still in me
Is 7 weeks normal
For some
Test 20 days positive on rapid test 😢
Wait... rapid test detects particles of the virus. If it detects particles of virus 5-10 days later, doesn't that surely mean you are still spreading the virus?
I was tested 2x positive (Quickvue),
2x negative(Abbott Panbio)
Which should I trust? I don’t have any symptoms.
That's tough! It's hard to say. With two positives, you most likely have it as the false positive rate is usually less than the false negative rate
@@DrMitchRice Thanks for the reply. I was tested positive on 8th Feb 2022 and was still positive on 28th Feb. Only Quickvue result is Positive. If I have symptoms. I would have no doubt trust the Positive result. But I do not have any symptoms and all other brands of ART test kit the result is always Negative. Just wondering how reliable is Quickvue ART test kit. FYI my my 1st 2 vaccination was Pfizer and my booster is Sinopharm.
@@jmmak1615 interesting okay. One of those may have been a false positive, but with no symptoms, it's difficult to say. I think at this point you wouldn't be contagious anyway!
Dr. Still testing positive on rapid test after 13 days. No fever, slight congestion, periodic cough. Is it normal to test positive on a rapid test for 13 days?
It can stay positive for a long time! I have other videos referencing this
Dead cell garbage can also show positive
@@mnayak9348 Started testing negative on day 20. Finally clear, thank God.
