- Another crazy year in the books! In this week's video we go over some of our Top 5 favorite new BMX products of 2021. These parts are not listed in order of importance, but rather the top 5 parts that stood out to us because they offered either something new, exciting or different. And as with last year’s 2020 video, these parts needed to be available to riders in 2021 to be considered.

I’ve got that exact subrosa rose frame in a 20.6, it has to be one of the most beautiful looking frames I’ve ever seen
I have the black one in 20.9 its super clean and has handled me doing flares with it
Never tried out a freecoast but i run the pro front street and pro back street BSD to this day still amazing hubs
The BSD hubs were/are tough as hell. I rode the original Front Street hubs waaay back when they first came out. Solid. - Mike
Bsd freecoaster is mad smooth, heard they was strong so I purchased the back wheel

We need more front load stems back in bmx always rode front loads always will but s&m or cult or Odyssey needs to bring back the Midload stem style
There are plenty of modern from loads you can buy though. There's no shortage of them. I mean hell Garrett, Lewis mills and Felix all ride front load.

Does Danscomp have Premium products anymore? And does the Profile Elite hub come with a cassette driver?
Yes we do. We have several Premium parts in stock now. And yes the Elite hubs come with the driver. You can get either a 9T or cog style driver.
You could get the planetary in the states in 2020 just required ordering direct from freenight. Pretty sure it was 2020 maybe even earlier that we had them in Canada rolling around.
What is the standover height on this frame? I can find places that lists it as both 9 and 8.7, but some places also lists the 8.7 as seatpost length (subrosa does this themselves on the website), so that might be a 9 standover height, if you add the space from mid bottom bracket to the start of the seatpost.
While making this video we actually confirmed specs with Subrosa and it's 8.7". I feel like I confirmed this myself during filming, but that was a while ago. Standover and Seattube height should be the same thing here. It's measured from center of BB shell, straight up the the seattube to the middle of the toptube/seattube junction. This is how we, Suborsa and most other brands measure it. Hope that helps - Mike

What about the WTP freecoaster and cassette hub? Didn't they drop it before BSD?
The WTP is a completely different system. The WTP you can change some internals around and make it a cassette where the Freenight Planetary system gives you the engagement of a cassette but the ability to instantly coast backwards without disenganging the hub.

@@bonkerzhuntsdemons7993 it is a subjective list of 5 products from people at Dans Comp. The planetary coaster does something completely different. The WTP does the same thing as other freecoasters in a different way. Many companies have done the freecoaster that turns into a cassette with some internal swapping so it isn't something new for 2021. The new WTP hub is basically just an upgraded Eclat Blind hub.
@@_tcmore Hit it on the head. The WTP Hybrid is a very nice hub and it has been updated compared to past cassette/freecoaster designs, but the planetary hubs nudged it out because of the all new system.
@@danscompvideos You say nudged it out but I say threw it out with extreme force haha I've tried to go back to a regular coaster or even back to my z coaster and they just don't compare to the planetary coaster.
