- Gold smelting furnace build in 20 minutes for cheap! We do a lot of experiments with smelting, melting, and cupelling at MBMM so we wanted to pass on info about how we make our furnaces. These are the easiest and fastest builds out there and in less than 30 mins you can be up and smelting gold, melting gold, refining precious metals, etc.

You should show how you size and make the burner nozzle.
You are a genius and a Godsend.May you have ALL the best of luck and gold! Your videos are straightforward and very very helpful.Goldmining and Processing University.Thank you professor.
I was in the garage building one per your idea when I saw you uploaded your video, great timing.thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you for watching our videos!
After you put sodium silicate on it, if you coat it with a ceramic clay like itc100ht or satinite, you probably won’t have to replace your wool and it’s easy to patch and much much safer for your lungs.
What is the sodium silicate for?
@@henningerflats as a rigidizer for the wool so that it’s easier to paint with ceramic clay
This is awesome!!!! Thanks so much!!!! Will definitely build this during lockdown for my precious metal recovery and actually be able to melt some copper bars!!
Thank you for watching! I'm glad we could help you along this process!
One tip for the k wool... If you Heat IT eventualy IT wil crystalize and very fine particalse Will come loose. And those particles can produce cancer. I work White k wool almost Everyday. Sorry for bad englisch.
Great job on the furnace
Dude! Great info Thank you
THAnk you very much for the video. I hope to make one to smelt silver.
Thank you very much
Very nice. I will be building it today if i can get the materials. Also this has been great getting to see a new vid from you so often. Keeps thr bordem down. 😍😛😍
Thank you so much for watching! Making these videos also keeps Jason's boredom down!!
Excellent
Very cool!
you should do a video on how you made the propane injector.
Between a homemade crusher and this furnace idea I’m pretty set. I’m curious though, since I don’t have access a shaker table for reducing to conds, could I just pan my crushed ore then dry before using the furnace?
Great stuff, Jason. Is there a specific manufacturer of Kaowool that you like (or dislike), or are all brands of ceramic fiber insulation basically the same? Thanks.
I'm just about to build my furnace kao wool came the other day via Amazon, now my ? Is aside from Amazon for the crucible what other business can you find crucibles at,home depot, hardware stores, art supply etc etc thanks Jason
So you do t want to do it right on your cement floor but get bricks to set the furnace on?
Did you make the torch end or buy it? Have you made a video about how you made the vacuum attachment with the parts you'd need to buy or is it a no-brainer thing? I've never seen the vacuum attachment. Curious about it's use and how high you adjust it and the effect It has on the process.
Hey bud, how long does the tank of propane last? I want to make one about that size to melt mostly aluminum and copper...
What kind of nozzle do you use for the propane furnace?
Hey man nice job on the video👍. Can we see you make the new bigger cone ? Saw you over pore a couple of times lately, lol so I know your thinking about it if you haven't made one already. The only cones that I can find are the little graphite things for jewelry . So I need to make my own ..... Great video 👍🏼. So let's see yours man!
Will do
thanks . can I electric furnace machine used
Hey buddy, love the videos ! Couple questions for ya. 1st could you explain the propane torch in a little detail and 2nd where are you finding you clay crucibles ? I can find them on ebay, but a #12 is like 50 bucks and nearly as much or more to ship ! Thanks sir !!!
Jason said where he gets his crucibles in one of his videos. I just can't remember where. I need to order some. I've been to the site, I just can't remember the name of the company.
Mantap👍🏻👏🏻
Отличная идея для плавки металла.😷
i want to build rock smelting crucibles
How Hot it can go? 1200c or more?
What is this material made out of that it can stand up to the heat? How hard or easy is it to cut? What is the brand of of the adhesive? Is that black stuff lining the 2nd furnace additional product or just char?
I've worked with kaowool before. We get it at our local fireplace store. It comes in roles with different thicknesses. I use a mask and gloves while handling it because of the fibers. It's super easy to cut with scissors. I think the black stuff is just accumulated splatter from the smelts. I also use a respirator when I'm smelting but that's just me.
Also, this stuff is the best. It holds the heat in like crazy and as he said, you can easily patch any holes, etc.
Have you ever built one using just firebrick with a chimney like structure??
I have a bunch of bricks already...I have all the other stuff...just not Kaowool??
Nice video
How can make graphite crucible
Think you
I've got an old one id consider selling you.
Do you have a high pressure propane regulator or is it a normal bbq one?
I heard somewhere that your supposed to seal the wool so you dont get dust coming off it.
Thank you for your safety concerns! We'll definitely look into it for next time.
treat with fumed silica. a rigidizer
I use a respirator when I smelt but I've also sealed the kaowool. I think I used fireplace cement but don't take that as good advice. That's just what I used.
What do you call that white stuff?
Kaowool. Amazon or fireplace store.
That's what I need for my kiln. What's the actual spelling of that wool so I know what I'm looking for?
William kaowool
Thank you so much for watching!
you didnt show how you kindle it. very important detail
when you say water glass you mean sodium silicate?
yep
Cant glass go airborne and be bad for your lungs by firing wool without hardening it?
Yes, I always wear a respirator. Everyone seems to comment on the glass fibers, but I think they are not the worst thing coming off a smelting furnace. There is also SOx that turns to sulfuric acid in your lungs, heavy metals (Pb, As, etc), caustic fumes from soda ash/NaOH. So yes the ceramic fibers are bad, but there is other stuff too that I am more worried about. Always wear a respirator, not just a dust mask.
@@mbmmllc is there a special brand/type of respirator your use for this work?
👍👍👍
Thank you so much!
You know you could put that wohl in a small size garbage can to make it easier to move around
Lol brother that thing was beat lmao
Brian Drew like most single guys meat during lockdown. Wore. Out.
@@redbaronrefining5322 oh yeah brother just saying you put some precious through that old one you just replaced brother. Thanks for teaching me how to build one👍🤠

Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment!

This does not look efficient or safe. Just get a Devil Forge like BigstackD Casting youtube channel.
